About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Passenger8127540 contributionsWe visited Tuesday 18th November 2024Thomas (our transfer) was amazing! Great communication about our pickup point, sorted out tickets for aushwitz & gave us a clear timeline for the day. and the packed lunch was also great. Really worth visiting if you’re in Krakow, although very harrowing. Make sure to book in advance it was super busy!Written November 1, 2024
- amypB4202XJ0 contributionsGreat trip! Request Thomas as your driverThomas the driver was absolutely amazing and made this trip excellent, from the moment he picked us up from the hotel on time everything was smooth. He sorted our tickets, showed us the way to the best toilets without a que and shared his recommendations. The tour guide was clear and knowledgeable. We wanted to book our tickets directly but were too late, we were apprehensive about booking with a tour company as felt it was overpriced. We were wrong, Thomas and the team made the experience worth while. Would recommend to ensure a smooth visit.Written November 1, 2024
- Dreamer638769352770 contributionsDay trip to AuschwitzVery well organised trip. Collection from the hotel and drop off to the hotel after. A very friendly driver who was very professional and punctual. Highly recommend booking your tour through this companyWritten November 1, 2024
- Loval1230 contributionsAn unforgettable trip to AuschwitzWe had the most unforgettable trip to Auschwitz . We were picked up at our hotel and the day ran so smoothly. Our driver Paweł was excellent. The guided tour was great and our guide Michael was very professional. The tour was harrowing and emotional, but is a must do trip. We would definitely recommend this tour to others.Written October 30, 2024
- Kazbo90 contributionsFantastic tripThis was a fantastic trip. Great communication re pick up and they also organised a pack lunch for the day which was lovely and great value. The driver was very friendly and the guide herself was amazing. Really knew her stuff and looked after the group well. A very interesting if emotional trip. Highly recommend.Written October 30, 2024
- Anonpoiuy0 contributionsEssential tourReally well organised. Our driver and the guide were brilliant. Tour is quite hard walking under foot but it’s a must when in KrakowWritten October 30, 2024
- Pathfinder5534130 contributionsWell organised tourThe tour went to plan as advertised. Igor our driver was great, he arrived to pick us up at the organised time and made all the meeting points through the trip clear to us. Our guide Suzanne was also excellent, very knowledgeable and clear.Written October 29, 2024
- Voyager404291218350 contributionsSalt mines / Auschwitz tourWe did the Auschwitz tour and salt mines ( on two different days ). We were picked up from our apartments in an 8 seater mini bus. And dropped back off at the same place. The tours were fantastic very informative and so easy getting in and out with the driver no long queues. Communication was fantastic both via Whatsapp and e-mail. We also had the added extra of a sandwich bag including 2 drinks, crisps, fruit, chocolate bar and sandwich which was most welcome. Do not hesitate to book very very good.Written October 29, 2024
- oliviasI8609ZP0 contributionsDefinitely worth visitingReally insightful trip, was well planned out with times, travel and the English speaker we had take us round on tour. When we went I think they were doing some work on a couple of the exhibitions so we didn't get to see everything. Overall, we learnt so much and got to feel it too, incredibly kept place although emotional.Written October 29, 2024
- hayley u0 contributionsNot greatOur driver was excellent and very efficient, but that was when the professionalism ended. Our guide was not the best and in fact kept leaving some of the group behind and when we caught up was already talking about what block or site we were at meaning some of the group missed out. She was very quiet and was hard to hear at times. I definitely would not recommend this tour to others I would say go with another provider as the price doesn’t reflect how good the tour is. My son had been on a previous tour with another provider weeks before and couldn’t believe how much our guide missed out on ours. Even when other groups were at the other sites we never got to go there. My advice is save your money and go with another provider for your tour.Written October 29, 2024
- srlawson790 contributionsMust get there earlyThe ticket situation is ridiculous. We left the hotel at 5:30 am to get there an hour before it opened. The taxi driver and trip organiser managed to push their way to the front to ensure our tickets and we had to hand over passports and the driver passed us money and we had to receive the change even though we had booked it through an operator. The guided tickets is 110zl each and must be paid in cash. The queues were through the gates and up the road. I suggest getting there early and booking tickets for a little later in the day and then going for breakfast. It’s quite daunting actually getting tickets. Even with TUi you aren’t guaranteed tickets. We paid £252.32 for two tickets and transfers. The tickets and guide are only £21 each and an uber is about £120 return. I am sure there are cheaper transport methods available but it doesn’t not guarantee you tickets. Also you need passport or driving licence to get tickets. The trip was well worth it and the tour guide was amazing. There are two part to the trip and a free transfer is available to get the Auschwitz 2. The tour lasts 3 hours.Written October 28, 2024
- Tbbatista0 contributionsEveryone should come and see.Sad history, but a must-see. “Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”. Our driver Thomas was great and very friendly. I recommend.Written October 28, 2024
- Q8998QMcoreyc0 contributionsThe best day we could have asked for!We booked relatively late and was struggling to find someone to take us. We ended up booking with this company and Konrad sent us a WhatsApp the day before giving us all the information we needed to know ready for our trip. Konrad turned up right on time and with a welcoming, polite and friendly attitude. Although we booked to see Auschwitz, Konrad made our experience that bit better by being so kind and friendly and making our drive and day at the camps so calm and relaxing. If you’re planning to visit the camps me and my wife would highly recommend booking here! After seeing all of the super cramped and rushed around buses we sighed a relief that we spent that little bit more and went with this package.Written October 28, 2024

Mar 2020 • Couples
We’d planned to do this tour for a long time and glad we chose this one. The driver, Dominic, picked us up from the hotel first and then the other 3 couples in a VW transporter. Plenty of room and comfortable (I’m 6’4”) and took us on the 60 minute journey to Auschwitz for the first part of the tour.
When we arrived we had 10 minutes to wait for our group start time and had chance to use the toilets (2 zloty) and read some of the inscriptions outside. We collected our headphones and receivers so that we could clearly hear what our guide was saying whilst taking in the camp. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and was able to deliver the tour at a steady pace. There are rooms left as they were during the liberation and an opportunity to see the collections of footwear, personal belongings and hair that was cut from each person to be used for clothing fibres, mattress and furniture filling. The tour lasts about 90 mins and ends in one of the gas chambers.
We had 15 mins for lunch before moving to Birkenau for the second part of the tour. There’s a restaurant and snack shop at Auschwitz and is reasonably priced.
The trip to Birkenau was about 10 mins and our guide met us there. We had a walking tour without headphones this time but we’re able to hear without any issues. The tour starts at the iconic railway arch and follows the tracks to the international memorial and the site of the 2 large gas chambers, demolished by the German forces prior to liberation. We moved along the tracks to one of the brick built barrack rooms and saw the remains of the bunks that the prisoners used before ending the tour.
We would highly recommended this tour to anyone wanting to have a steady paced, informative and respectful view of the camps.

A really emotional, heartbreaking experience but something that I would recommend everyone do. The trip was really well organised, good contact from the driver and organisers in advance. We were offered a packed lunch for around £9 each which was great, we only had a short turnaround from Auschwitz 1 to Birkenau so the packed lunch was really handy and I would recommend taking it as there isn’t time to queue at the shop in between. Our tour guide was exceptional, her knowledge was off the scale and she educated us and informed us in a really compassionate way but with the truth of what happened there. We got there really early which was brilliant because by the time we were leaving, it was incredibly busy. I would highly recommend this tour for its ease of booking, service and contact beforehand and also on the day. The service was brilliant and I’m glad we chose this for our visit.

Visiting one of the most infamous sites in the world is difficult to put into words, the emotions and feeling it triggered inside you was again difficult in the least hard to put into words.
Auschwitz 1 built primarily of brick ,looks as though it was vacated only recently ,with the sun throwing shadows from the trees, gave it a surreal feeling to what atrocities happened here.
Going from building to building magnified the reality what happened here ,the pitiful room of shoes ,many of which are from children ,brought the reality of what happened here to the families and individuals who passed through the gates.
There is too much to write about Auschwitz ,it really needs the reader to go and experience it first hand.
Kipling the poet wrote the poem with the sentiment “less we forget “about the ww1 and those who died and survived then, they, should never be forgotten, in same manner those who suffered at the hands of extreme evil ,should we never forget, please visit and say a prayer from your heart, that this never happens again or be allowed to happen again.

Excellent tour. Our driver arrived exactly on time around 0800 at our hotel pick up point despite it not being listed as a pick up point on the web site. The vehicle was almost new and very well maintained.
Six of us just over an hour later arrived at Auschwitz where our driver parked up to wait for us at the main carpark and offered helpful advice. The tour to the first part takes around 1.30 Hours. A short drive to Birkenau and the tour takes slightly less time than the first part. The english speaking guide throughout both tours was excellent and as you would expect very knowledgeable.
We arrived back at our hotel around 1.30 lunchtime so saw the full site(s) tour and had enough time in the afternoon to see more of Krakow.
One reminder, you do need to take your passport or a national identity card to gain access as the checks on the entry point are very thorough.

Our tour guide was brilliant, very knowledgeable about Auschwitz 1 and Auschwitz 2
Everything she spoke about was with passion.
My wife and I were very humbled at the scale and size of Auschwitz 2. It was hard to comprehend the horror.
We would recommend the visit.

A well organized and informative trip. Pick up on time and interesting video en route. Our driver Matthew was polite, informative and personable, making all the meeting times, itinerary and general info very clear.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and organized .... perhaps lacking a little personality although a difficult balance to achieve in the circumstances. Altogether a great experience .

Elected to be picked up at hotel in shared transport. The minibus was clean, comfortable and high spec. Thomas our driver texted to let us know when he would be arriving and again ten minutes before his arrival. He was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The journey to Auschwitz took about 1.25 hours through beautiful countryside. Thomas explained the process for entry and supported us throughout until we met our English speaking guide who took over the actual tour of Auschwitz which took 2.5 hours. We then met up again with Thomas, had a short break for something to eat. We elected to take our own food but a packed lunch could be supplied by the company at a small additional charge. After this Thomas drove us the short distance to Birkenau where we met up with the same tour guide for this part of the tour which took about 1.5 hours. Afterwards Thomas took us back in the minibus to the hotel. Everyone was helpful, knowledgeable and considerate. Answered questions fully and patiently. Made sure everyone in the group had time to see and hear everything. Although this can be harrowing to see I recommend doing the tour with this company. Highly professional and worth ever penny.

The "krakow-auschwitz.com" are a good tour provider. We used them for the Auschwitz - Birkenau tour and also for airport to hotel transfers and found them reliable and good value. Defintely recommended.
The Auschwitz-Birkenau tour itself is exactly as described in most reviews, our guide was engaging and informative, the camp and museum harrowing.

We had an excellent in-depth tour of both Auschwitz and neighboring Birkenau, The total tour time was about three hours conducted by our excellent and knowledgeable tour guide, Jacob. We were picked up and dropped off right by our hotel in an eight seat minivan. The drive from Krakow was a little over an hour each way. My only negative comment was that we didn't have a lot of free time to go through the gift shop and bookstore to the extent we would have liked.

My wife and I have been wanting to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau for a long time and are glad we did. The tour from start to finish was exactly as described ahead of time. Thomas, our driver, was professional and extremely helpful at all times as he answered any questions and helped us to get to the right places for the guided tours. All we had to do was get picked up at our hotel in Krakow and he organised everything else with the tickets and tour guide. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. I know a fair amount about the Holocaust and Auschwitz being a history teacher but she added a lot that I didn't know about. The tour was nicely paced and I never felt rushed even though I like to take a lot of photos of the whole experience. At times difficult to comprehend what happened here but definitely recommend this tour as there is nothing like seeing the place up close and in person.

Once you have booked, you will be sent details of how to contact the agent and you need to do this a couple of days before your trip. They then get back in touch to confirm time and location of pick up. We were picked up at 09:00 right outside our apartment. Very smart minibus.
