Didn't get what we paid for!
Great experience. However, the operator said they wanted to cut the tour short. Gave us a lame excuse that it was too hot in august! It was only 82F. I recommend going, but chose a different tour operator.

Well organised and polite guide/driver, an eye opening experience.
I would firstly like to say the whole organisation was fantastic! The communication of being collected/dropped off was easy and flawless. The driver we had was extremely nice and polite and helped us with getting through the entrance with security/tickets. Our tour guide was also fantastic! Very knowledgable and clearly passionate about the history behind the two camps. He very clearly knows his stuff. The two camps themselves were very interesting and it really paints a picture of what happened throughout the awful years they were in use. There were things I’d never even heard of that took place there and it was a real eye opener. I would recommend this to anyone who is in the area and are wanting to learn more about the topic.

    Excellent trip & very interesting
We really enjoyed our tour and found it very interesting - can't quite explain that harrowing, horror feeling while you're walking around. The tour was very well organised, with a prompt pick-up and great communication beforehand about the pick-up and timings etc. We thought it was a nice touch that ordering a lunchbox was offered given the lack of food options there. Our tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable - but I understand this is provided by Auschwitz rather than the tour organiser. I feel you could spend hours here on an unguided option, but the tour offered enough information and things to see and we would definitely recommend this for seeing both sites.

    Memorable, very impressive, unforgettable.
Great organizing. On time. New van. Very comfortable. Auschwitz video during transport. The female tour guide was very personal and sincere, not just information. Her English vocabulary and conversation were excellent but her accent when speaking English was a little heavy though. I’d recommend clearer pronunciation. But still I’d definitely take her tour again.

    Underwhelmed
I’ve been wanting to visit for many years and I felt really let down by how busy and touristy it was and so was quite disappointed. You feel as though you are being rushed and not given chance to actually absorb and take it all in . The break was only 10 minutes before going onto the second half of the tour . Too many groups with too many people , and it is so packed that the groups pass each other on the stairs , and you leave one area and still trying to absorb that while the guide is already onto the next topic / area . This needs to be less of a money maker and more of a memorial for those lives lost here . Make it less hectic with less groups so that visitors can be more spread out , not cattle being herded while the tills rake it all in. I am glad i visited all the same , but mine isn’t the only experience like this . Please please take these reviews on board .

    Wear comfortable shoes.
Absolutely astounding. It's no secret that a tour like this is going to be eye opening and emotional but nothing prepares you for the eery/melancholy feeling of actually being on the grounds. Absolutely worth the money to appreciate and never forget such a dark era of history. Wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking and the terrain is rocky most of the way (Converses did not cut it for me). Our tour guide, Monica, was absolutely outstanding! So knowledgeable, respectful and thorough, we were in safe hands. There are certain areas that pictures are not allowed. Some disrespectful visitors were taking pictures, Monica explained (more respectfully than I would have!) how this was not allowed. We visited key areas of the camp. Some visitors did not have a tour guide and I feel they may have missed important details without one. Shout out to Mario who was an excellent driver! 100% recommend.

Easy to communicate, transportation on time and clean car, small group. If you cant/dont want to take care of bringing a snack, order the lunch box with them.

    Excellent, important yet somber
The ride to the memorial was pleasant and prompt. Please keep in mind that all tours come together into groups of 30 so they can handle all visitors. There are no small or private tours which we originally wanted. This tour company was very fine, and we were not misled in any way. Our driver guided us and was patient with everyone. I would say that the tour itself was excellent and very tastefully done. Anna was a wonderful guide. There will be points where the gravity of the place really hits home. However, this is the history. Please keep in mind that there is quite a bit of walking. I would not recommend combining this with another place to see such as the Salt Mines. It may be too emotionally and physically draining.

Moving trip to a significant part of our history. We must learn from our past so mistakes are not made in the future.
The transport over the day was great. Collection from hotel by a very polite driver who was on hand with an umbrella! Communication prior to the trip was regular and although we didn’t take them up on the offer of the additionally charged packed lunch others on the trip had it and said it was lovely. On arrival at the venue the driver pointed out buildings of significance also linked with Auschwitz, such as the German soldiers casino. The tour itself was led by a very informative guide who dealt with the subject matter with sensitivity. Be aware there is a large of walking involved in this tour so wear your comfortable shoes!

    Informative and eye opening tour
Great tour operator with excellent communication. The tour itself was informative and eye opening, a lot of information was given at the sites. However, we sadly couldnt hear the guide very well on the second part of the tour due to being outside and with no microphone. But was still good. The tour is not wheelchair friendly and includes a lot of walking - this wasnt an issue for us but I understand it may be for some. Would recommend, but would also recommend a smaller group tour to avoid being rushed and missing bits of information given.

Well organized tour but a bit rushed
It was very well organized however at times it felt rushed. There were many group visiting therefore we needed to move quite quickly through the buildings. The guide explained everything well but he seemed a bit bored and was only giving the minimum explanations. The driver was really polite, the car we were picked up with was new, clean and modern. In my opinion you don’t need to purchase a lunch pack since we were picked up at 7:30 from the hotel and at 13:30 we were back.

We’d planned to do this tour for a long time and glad we chose this one. The driver, Dominic, picked us up from the hotel first and then the other 3 couples in a VW transporter. Plenty of room and comfortable (I’m 6’4”) and took us on the 60 minute journey to Auschwitz for the first part of the tour.

When we arrived we had 10 minutes to wait for our group start time and had chance to use the toilets (2 zloty) and read some of the inscriptions outside. We collected our headphones and receivers so that we could clearly hear what our guide was saying whilst taking in the camp. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and was able to deliver the tour at a steady pace. There are rooms left as they were during the liberation and an opportunity to see the collections of footwear, personal belongings and hair that was cut from each person to be used for clothing fibres, mattress and furniture filling. The tour lasts about 90 mins and ends in one of the gas chambers.

We had 15 mins for lunch before moving to Birkenau for the second part of the tour. There’s a restaurant and snack shop at Auschwitz and is reasonably priced.

The trip to Birkenau was about 10 mins and our guide met us there. We had a walking tour without headphones this time but we’re able to hear without any issues. The tour starts at the iconic railway arch and follows the tracks to the international memorial and the site of the 2 large gas chambers, demolished by the German forces prior to liberation. We moved along the tracks to one of the brick built barrack rooms and saw the remains of the bunks that the prisoners used before ending the tour.

We would highly recommended this tour to anyone wanting to have a steady paced, informative and respectful view of the camps.

A really emotional, heartbreaking experience but something that I would recommend everyone do. The trip was really well organised, good contact from the driver and organisers in advance. We were offered a packed lunch for around £9 each which was great, we only had a short turnaround from Auschwitz 1 to Birkenau so the packed lunch was really handy and I would recommend taking it as there isn’t time to queue at the shop in between. Our tour guide was exceptional, her knowledge was off the scale and she educated us and informed us in a really compassionate way but with the truth of what happened there. We got there really early which was brilliant because by the time we were leaving, it was incredibly busy. I would highly recommend this tour for its ease of booking, service and contact beforehand and also on the day. The service was brilliant and I’m glad we chose this for our visit.

Visiting one of the most infamous sites in the world is difficult to put into words, the emotions and feeling it triggered inside you was again difficult in the least hard to put into words.
Auschwitz 1 built primarily of brick ,looks as though it was vacated only recently ,with the sun throwing shadows from the trees, gave it a surreal feeling to what atrocities happened here.
Going from building to building magnified the reality what happened here ,the pitiful room of shoes ,many of which are from children ,brought the reality of what happened here to the families and individuals who passed through the gates.
There is too much to write about Auschwitz ,it really needs the reader to go and experience it first hand.
Kipling the poet wrote the poem with the sentiment “less we forget “about the ww1 and those who died and survived then, they, should never be forgotten, in same manner those who suffered at the hands of extreme evil ,should we never forget, please visit and say a prayer from your heart, that this never happens again or be allowed to happen again.

Excellent tour. Our driver arrived exactly on time around 0800 at our hotel pick up point despite it not being listed as a pick up point on the web site. The vehicle was almost new and very well maintained.

Six of us just over an hour later arrived at Auschwitz where our driver parked up to wait for us at the main carpark and offered helpful advice. The tour to the first part takes around 1.30 Hours. A short drive to Birkenau and the tour takes slightly less time than the first part. The english speaking guide throughout both tours was excellent and as you would expect very knowledgeable.

We arrived back at our hotel around 1.30 lunchtime so saw the full site(s) tour and had enough time in the afternoon to see more of Krakow.

One reminder, you do need to take your passport or a national identity card to gain access as the checks on the entry point are very thorough.

Our tour guide was brilliant, very knowledgeable about Auschwitz 1 and Auschwitz 2
Everything she spoke about was with passion.
My wife and I were very humbled at the scale and size of Auschwitz 2. It was hard to comprehend the horror.
We would recommend the visit.

A well organized and informative trip. Pick up on time and interesting video en route. Our driver Matthew was polite, informative and personable, making all the meeting times, itinerary and general info very clear.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and organized .... perhaps lacking a little personality although a difficult balance to achieve in the circumstances. Altogether a great experience .

The "krakow-auschwitz.com" are a good tour provider. We used them for the Auschwitz - Birkenau tour and also for airport to hotel transfers and found them reliable and good value. Defintely recommended.

The Auschwitz-Birkenau tour itself is exactly as described in most reviews, our guide was engaging and informative, the camp and museum harrowing.

We had an excellent in-depth tour of both Auschwitz and neighboring Birkenau, The total tour time was about three hours conducted by our excellent and knowledgeable tour guide, Jacob. We were picked up and dropped off right by our hotel in an eight seat minivan. The drive from Krakow was a little over an hour each way. My only negative comment was that we didn't have a lot of free time to go through the gift shop and bookstore to the extent we would have liked.

My wife and I have been wanting to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau for a long time and are glad we did. The tour from start to finish was exactly as described ahead of time. Thomas, our driver, was professional and extremely helpful at all times as he answered any questions and helped us to get to the right places for the guided tours. All we had to do was get picked up at our hotel in Krakow and he organised everything else with the tickets and tour guide. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. I know a fair amount about the Holocaust and Auschwitz being a history teacher but she added a lot that I didn't know about. The tour was nicely paced and I never felt rushed even though I like to take a lot of photos of the whole experience. At times difficult to comprehend what happened here but definitely recommend this tour as there is nothing like seeing the place up close and in person.
