Remembering Pope John Paul II: a saint for our modern age
It was my last day in Krakow and, being that I am a Catholic, I felt I had to know more of the life story and legacy of JP2. Christopher gave me this opportunity, he arranged for me to visit the Sanctuary and view a few of his relics. I also learned more about the mystic Saint Faustyna and the Divine Mercy Shrine, a special place of pilgrimage for Catholics all over the world. The tour was most appreciated, and renewed my faith. Thank you Christopher!

    A Welcoming Experience in Krakow
Christopher is the very best! He was warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and responsive to all questions about the tour and the day. During my first trip to Krakow, I feel lucky to have found this tour and everything it provided. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Krakow and the surrounding area.

    Auschwitz…
Christopher took us to Auschwitz where we were met by an official guide to show us round. It was obviously harrowing but something I’m so glad we did. Christopher is so knowledgeable about the history of both the war and the more recent history of Poland .. such a pleasure to chat through our many and varied questions about history and the impact on the Polish people.

    Super Guide!
Fabulous tour and guide! There is lots to see in Krakow but you miss so much without a knowledgeable guide to provide the history of what you are viewing. Christopher, our Private Tours guide, made the city come alive with his background information, well organized route, and friendly personality. Showing us historically significant places, his stories painted a picture of the history of Krakow through its triumphs and hardships. Always time for questions, a pleasant stop at a cafe and up to date recommendations for restaurants, Christopher's educated knowledge of his city made the afternoon one of the highlights of our trip. Christopher helped us appreciate this truly wonderful city.

    An Absolute Pleasure
We were fortunate to spend several hours touring Krakow last week with Christopher from Private Tours Krakow. It was an absolute pleasure to be guided by someone so kind, informative and fun. We learned so much about the past and present of Krakow, including some deeply troubling events as well as some deeply inspiring. Christopher picked us up timely at our hotel in a comfortable van where we spent some of the day touring, and a bit of walking as well. When lunchtime came, he recommended a great traditional restaurant tucked away from many tourists and at our invitation joined us for delicious Polish food. He also recommended a fantastic, reasonably priced restaurant in Old Town for a later dinner (and at our request called for our reservation). At the tour's end we felt we had been shown so much of the past and present Krakow by an extremely knowledgeable family friend. We recommend Christopher and his group whole heartedly. 5++ stars.

    Extremely knowledgeable
We had a wonderful experience on this tour. Our guide picked us up from our hotel and drove us to Auschwitz. On the road and at the site, he explained the history and answered all of our questions. He was extremely knowledgeable. While it was a somber visit, this was an important part of our trip and our guide made it a highlight.

    Perfectly arranged!
The tour was beyond our expectations. It was perfectly arranged, we didn't have to think about anything. We loved a private tour, especially for my older parents.

    Custom walking tour of Warsaw
You will be in good hands using this company to assist with your travel anywhere in Poland. Christopher Skutela is a professional in all regards. He arranged for Karolina to be our guide for a private walking tour of Warsaw. We only had a few hours to spend and Karolina met us at the Chopin Museum to start our walk down the Royal Way and into old town. She brought to life the history of the city throughout the walk. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed her company. She even accompanied us back to the train station to be sure we could retrieve our luggage stored in the lockers and get to the platform for our train. Nothing was too much and she exceeded our expectations.

Christopher Skutela is a first tour guide and I have been on his tours every year for the past. Excellent in every way!
Christopher is a superb tour guide and arranged for us to have a private tour of Auschwitz with one of the team there who was excellent. We also went to the Salt Mines with him and on his St John Paul II tour as well. He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the places we visited and we are looking forward to our next tours with him next year.

Perfect organisation for Auschwitz / Krakow tours and bookings.
The private tour we booked to Auschwitz-Birkenau was faultless. The driver was very engaging and knowledgeable about Poland / WW2 / Auschwitz. We learnt a lot before we even arrived! The private tour of a Auschwitz was superb and very moving. The guide helped us miss the crowds to enable us to get a sense of the camp. She was again very knowledgeable. Overall I would recommend this organiser 100pc. They also coordinated transfers for us from the airport to Krakow and back, as well as a super restaurant.

    Exceptional Company and Team
Christopher arranged everthing for us. Salt Mines, Auschwitz and walking tour. He also arranged airport transfers. Nothing was to much, we requested two drop off points after the Salt Mine which the driver Robert was happy to complete. The tour guide at Auschwitz, Bojana (apologises if spelt wrong) very friendly, helpful and very good knowledge which made the tour memorable. The walking tour was tailored to our interests which included Old Town, Jewish Quater and Ghetto. We had two partial sighted and one completely blind persons in our group. The guide Joanna was exceptional, especially with the partial sighted and blind members and made the tour easier and enjoyable. Joanna works with the blind when not taking guided tours. Very good knowledge of Krakow and would recommend her. Everything that we booked went smoothly and on time with clean and modern vehicles. Christopher was very helpful in tailoring the trips to our interests. I would highly recommend this company.

Private Tours Krakow is THE BEST!
We hit the jackpot with our tour guide. From his friendly smile and hand shake on day one to a safe ride to the airport on day 12 we could not have been more pleased. As a party of three adults there was plenty of room in the 6 passenger Mercedes. Traveling with a highly educated guide gave us insights into the history of the region, country, and Europe. The historical and cultural sights came alive with interesting vignettes. Our tour was tailored to what we wanted to see, but so many other places and sights were included to give us a well rounded visit to this vibrant land. For example, while in Czestochowa not only did we admire the Black Madonna icon, but we also saw the Golgotha of Jasna Góra that was almost hidden away in the church. And while traveling to Krakow we walked through a delightful Polish National Park. Christopher was always ready to suggest a nice place for lunch and amazing restaurants for dinner. The bottom line is that when other friends and family members decide to visit Poland and Central Europe this is the company I will recommend.

We had the most impactful experience with Christopher when we visited Krakow and went on the Auschwitz-Birkenau tour. Christopher was a wealth of knowledge and gave us the most memorable experience. We felt like we had our own history professor and learned so much about the Jewish / Polish relationship which existed for hundreds of years before WWII. Christopher shed light on so many unanswered questions about the Jews living in Poland since the 1400/1500’s. Visiting Auschwitz was something that we had always wanted to do and having Christopher take us to and from Krakow, arrange everything and be available for all of our questions made it something we will never forget. We definitely would recommend Auschwitz Guided Tour and Christopher if you plan to visit Poland and we will also be taking our family back in the spring and will schedule again ourselves.
