- 1Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-BirkenauStop: 3 hours - Admission included• Visit the two concentration camps housed in the complex • Return to Krakow on the same day Spread over 191 hectares of land, the museum is symbolic of the atrocities suffered by the victims living in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps. With ruins of gas chambers and the crematoria being a part of the museum grounds, your visit can help you imagine the carnage that took place on the same grounds less than a century ago. The rest of the complex offers equally poignant experiences and deep insight into the unfathomable pain and horrors of the 1.2 million people who led their fateful lives in these concentration camps. You can choose for a guided tour where an experienced English-speaking guide will accompany you through the complex sharing important information about various parts of the camps and helping you better understand the significance of these camp relics. Non-guided tours allow you to explore the complex at your own pace. Without a guide, you will have the opportunity to go through the letters of the prisoners and other remnants of the campsite and its residents. A guidebook is available for purchase along with maps of the camp and detailed description of the site. Tour duration – 6-7 hours • Auschwitz I – 2 hours • Auschwitz II – Birkenau – 1 hour All above times are approximate, time may vary slightly.Read more

We booked through trip advisor not knowing what to expect. We walked to our pick up as advised the day before the tour . Driver and guide on a 20 seater minibus who took us to both the auschitz sites and we picked up our tickets 2 hours each in both of the sites . He informed us of what we were allowed to take in with us and we looked around at our own pace which we liked and the driver told us where to meet the minibus and what time to be back . We got dropped off where we were picked up .

It was a bit touch and go whether we could go to Auschwitz due to the coronavirus. However I was impressed with Trip Advisor keeping me up to date with what was going on. Unfortunately we had to reschedule our planned trip and had to pay an extra £10 each.
The tour guide was very informative and the whole experience was such an eye opener, defnitely a trip to book when in Krakow.

We were picked up at our hotel in tye morning. Our bus driver was very friendly & chatty. She ran through what was going to happen that day. We had 2 other pick ups. And off we went to Auschwitz. Again she gave us directions on what to do before we were going in on the tour & met us directly after. She took us to over Birkenau . We met with our tour guide & off we went. And when we came out she was waiting for us there. We were dropped straight back to our hotel. The tour guide itself was very informative & very easy to listen to. Our driver couldnt have been nicer, we didn't get her name.

We were collected on time in a smart midi coach. The driver and Aneta were very nice and it was a smooth journey. The Auschwitz guide was very knowledgeable and explained the horrors of that place with compassion and authority. It is a sobering experience. It was very cold and started to snow. Standing on the spot where people who had got off the train were selected to die or work was moving.

Got picked up in time, drove 60 minutes to Auschwitz camp. Waited there in line outside for 2 hours, then our guide told us that all tickets are sold for the day. Drove back 2 hours due to heavy traffic and the "tour" was ended.
Worst and most disappointing trip ever!!!

A very very informative tour. A somber experience but a must do.
We can only imagine the dark days. And a few hours of heavy heart is worth it’s weight in gold.
An hour from city centre. Lovely lovely driver.
February seemed a good time. Not too many people. Just enough and everyone seemed to absorb the horror.
At least we can shake it all off after a few hours.

Guide was very knowledgeable. Also very pleasant voice and spoke really good English (he might've been British, but I'm not sure). Learned a lot about this dark part of history. Comfortable newer minibus.

This tour is a must. Our guide was very informative and respectful and kept us well informed of how the day would be conducted. Both sites are pretty sombre and thought-provoking and not in anyway 'touristy'.

Great tour, bus was very punctual. The main site was well laid out, the other site was much larger and takes a fair bit of walking to see all. Would recommend to anyone visiting Krakow or katowice.

Hi is it ok for us to gather at the museum directly? We are likely to arrive at 11 at the museum on 26/1, is there any tour suit the time?
Hi!! My friends and I want to do the day trip in Spanish. We'll arrive at 6 am to Krakow Train Station on January 16. We want to know at what time the tour starts and if you can pick us up in the train station, if it's not possible, where?. Thanks!

We departed earlier (8) and arrived back around 17. Please write a note to the operators, they answer fast and they can adjust the program, I think, because it is a special day.

My boyfriend and I are travelling to Poland in March 2020 and would love to do this tour but we are 19 and 20 so we fall into the youth category. It says we need to select one adult ticket to proceed but as we do not fit into that age bracket I do not know what to do as I assume we would need to take a form of ID so couldn’t fake it either.
Reading through it says that people who purchase youth tickets would need to present a valid student ID card to get the discount if not would have to pay the extra fee for an adult ticket. As I am not a student should I put myself down as the adult or should I just leave this as it won’t let me choose two youth tickets?
Sorry if this was hard to understand, can anyone advise me on what to do?

I'm sure youd be ok if you buy adult tickets.
Hello,
I'm looking for an individual tour with audioguide in italian. During this tour will be provided audio guides or not?
Thank you in advance.
My arrival is on Tues. Dec. 3rd at 6:50 AM at Krawkow MDA bus station (traveling from Budapest). Allowing for any delays, is there a tour available for departure pick up at 8 AM to tour Auschwitz Birkenau with English guide.

There are plenty of daily tours to Auschwitz camps. All tours MUST have a local guide.
So whichever you’ll choose it will be included in the price you pay as you can’t enter the camp without a guide.
I have a ride to aushwitz, can we buy 2 tickets for entry and guide only with no transportation?
*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
