- isabelleaU6669YO0 contributionsLegendary Krakow TourMy partner and I went to on the auschwitz-birkenau tour with pickup from krakow and I cannot fault it! Our driver, Piotr, was amazing and was very prompt. He even provided suggested activities on what to do in Poland and little guides of things we were passing by on the side of the road. Our tour guide in the camps itself (unfortunately I cannot remember his name!!) was also so amazing and I highly recommend. The history of this tour is so devastating and was truly an unforgettable experience. Thank you Legendary krakow.Written March 13, 2025

- 60JLR0 contributionsCancelled our tour at 16:50 the evening beforeI had booked this tour well in advance of my visit to Krakow as I knew it would be busy on a weekend. The company cancelled the tour the evening before citing that “the activity could not go ahead due to a political event taking place at the destination”. This was not true. Fortunately I was able to book last minute with another company who got us to Auschwitz without a problem. I wonder whether the original company tend to overbook their spaces then end up cancelling some people’s places. Which is really poor practice and not fair on customers who go out of their way to plan ahead. I would not recommend booking with this company.Written March 10, 2025

Everything about the day was outstanding from the pre tour communication to the excellent service provided by Piotr and the organisation of the whole day by the company. - 223kerryg0 contributionsThermal spa rocks !Great experience - Michael our guide was friendly funny and professional and very informative. He did set our expectations on travel time as it was rush hour and said it would be a little over 2 hours. The thermal springs were fabulous - it wasn’t at all crowded and we managed to grab a cocktail at the swim up bar too. 3 hours was about right to experience all of the different pools, saunas, jacuzzis and water jets I would absolutely recommend the tour company and the experience and a great way to finish our stay. Thank youWritten March 5, 2025

Great service, lady 8n shop when booking was very helpful. Clear instructions where to meet Robert our driver. Robert was very pleasant and kind. Great drop off and pick up point at the mines, told us everything we needed to know and very understanding when we were held up because the queue to the lift was sliw.
Would recommend this company and use them again ourselves.

We really enjoyed the tour, the Salt Mines were unlike anything we’ve ever seen before, definitely unique and highly recommend! We were picked up by our driver Piotr right on time, he messaged us in advance which made it easier to locate the transport and eliminated a lot of stress and any possible confusion for where to go. Piotr was a very friendly driver, very helpful and informative and even gave us some tips and recommendations of other places to visit during our trip to Krakow which we were very grateful for!

This was a great experience, smooth and informative driver (Michael) and nice guided tour into the salt mine. Makes it a really easy excursion from Krakow. I recommend doing it on a hot day because it is cool inside the mine (literally and figuratively).

The part insured by trip, Advisor was simply transportation to the salt mine and the purchase of tickets. The price was at least twice as high as if we had bought the tickets ourselves and taken a taxi to get there. For a small group this is what I would recommend to do.
As for our driver Kamil, I don’t have much to say except that he drives well, but that he only said hello to us when we arrived and goodbye at the start. I wouldn’t recommend organizing this trip by trip Adviser However, the tour of the salt mine is worth a visit and the guide (who works for the salt mine and not for Trip Adviser), with whom we did the tour was exceptional.
So in conclusion, from Krakow, it is much easier to organize the tour on your own, and the cost is much more reasonable

We were picked up by a literal ashtray on wheels. The smell of smoke in this van almost knocked us out. Unfortunately due to pouring rain we couldn’t even crack a window. Because of traffic the ride was even longer than usual., making it particularly unbearable. The driver never spoke until we arrived & he told us our meeting place, this was just a transfer from hotel to the mine & we were handed entry tickets when we arrived. The actual tour is given by employees of the Salt Mine. Definitely incredible to see, but they allow too many people in at once so guides are trying to speak over visitor noise & often one another. Our guide was usually finished speaking before the whole group of 24 were able to finish gathering at every stop. It was hard to hear even when sticking close to her so most gave up trying. That part was frustrating but we are glad we were able to see the place. We did get a short stop for restrooms & gift shop. There was no time to enjoy the restaurant unless it is part of your particular tour or you go independently. There is another larger gift shop at the end as well. Recommend visiting but would find a different ride.

The salt mines were just beautiful, something very special to see. Be warned though if you have poor mobility or get claustrophobic I wouldn't go here, there is a lot of walking including hundreds of stairs and at times you can be in small dark confined spaces.
Unfortunately, the tour guide provided by the saltmines spoke with quite a low voice and was difficult to hear at times, so i felt like i wasnt really learning alot about the history of the saltmines as we were in a large group and couldnt always be at the front of it, but the sculptures speak for themselves.
We had a wonderful driver called Mateusz, he arrived on time, if not a few minutes early. Kept in contact via whatsapp which was our preferred method, told us some of the history of krakow and pointed out places to visit on our drive to and from the salt mines and was just a really lovely guy who was polite and professional at all times. When we were entering the saltmines he came with us to ensure we knew what queue to join and stayed with us until our passes were scanned and we had gained entry. He also had a great idea of dropping us a pin of his parked location for when we exited the saltmines are there are more than one exit which was quite confusing, but because Mateusz dropped us a pin of his location it made it far easier for us to find him at the end of it.

I can say I haven’t been on any tour quite as informative as this one, our guide managed to make a big group feel a little more intimate and we left more educated than before. Beautiful walk but would recommend potentially looking at more active tours available for the mines if you need a spring in your step. Driver was also really nice and was quick to give us some good recommendations for the city ( thank you Wiktor)

Amazing salt mine. Great trip our driver Piotr was on time and a safe driver also very informative and helpful. Spoke good English and helped make the day even though it was heavy rain offering umbrellas . He was waiting right there when trip tour if mines finished. This guided tour was an absolutely special and fascinating experience. It truly captured the spirit of the 13th century and the hard work of the miners in the salt mines. The excursion lasted about four hours, and our family, including our 4- and 9-year-old children, found it really interesting. The highlight for our younger child was that it was allowed to lick the walls and ask lots of questions!
At the beginning of the tour, we explored the mines and saw informative illustrations with sound effects, monuments, and exhibitions. After that, we had the option to eat at the café inside the mines or continue to the museum. I chose the museum, and it was absolutely amazing! It showcased the beauty of salt crystals, other excavation finds, and the rich history of the Krakow salt mine and mining techniques.
Unfortunately, one lady in our group became ill at the very beginning of the tour. It’s important to note that while this is an incredible and unique experience, it may not be suitable for everyone. People with claustrophobia might find it challenging to stay in the mines.
A big thank you to our Russian-speaking guide, Eva—she was fantastic and made the tour even more enjoyable!
