About the operator
- Allyj197800Would highly recommendExcellent experience & service. Communication amazing. Driver friendly, prompt and helpful. Great value. A busy day but worth it.
- adambG2699VI00Interesting and a lot to take inVery educational and lots to take in, however very busy day, nothing was rushed and the driver we got assigned was helpful, friendly and on time throughout the whole day
- X1701HEjamesj00FantasticFantastic driver (thanks Daniel) and very informative guided visits to Auschwitz and the salt mines. Yes, Auschwitz is incredibly sad and emotionally draining, but the tour guide was excellent as very informative for this important visit. Please be respectful with when and how you take photos at Auschwitz - Birkenau; some people in other groups were very disrespectful and rightful got told off. The salt mines were great fun and we found the wooden support structures and intricate carvings fascinating. We are so glad we went on this tour and it felt like good value for money. Thank you for taking care of us and for providing our holiday highlight! James, Sam, Chloe and Cash x
- laurenmS4462HV00Wonderful tourWonderful tour, super convenient to be picked up from our front door. Both parts of the tour were great. Auschwitz was emotional, and the salt mines were breathtaking.
- I6201GDadriann00American SpaniardMy wife and I booked from United States, but knowing our family in Spain only speaks Spanish. Slawek was so helpful in securing the date we wanted and making sure we had Spanish guides at Auschwitz and the Salt mine. Our parents are 74 and 73 years old and Konrad the driver did such a nice job making my parents and wife comfortable. I really appreciate his effort, calm driving and the whole experience. 5 stars. 5 estrellas
- Craig P00Excellent professional companySo how did we choose what company to use for this special tour while in Krakow? Well we did what you are doing now, read Google reviews and not only did this company come out top but they also delivered a fantastic day that we will remember forever. Konrad our driver contacted us the day before the trip to finalise our pick up address and confirm times. All the tickets had been purchased in advance by the company and they even asked if we would like a lunch box each, which we would highly recommend. Konrad was so pleasant, nothing was too much trouble, and everything was planned to perfection, he certainly made our day more memorable and totally trouble free. I cannot recommend this company highly enough, totally professional, but felt like you was spending it with a long lost friend.
- u7p6300Absolutely incredibleAbsolutely incredible From start to finish it was a seamless experience. I contacted online, received email confirmation of my booking, along with an update the day before confirming pick up time. We chose a private transfer which was comfortable, spacious. The tour guides were exceptionally informative. Auschwitz itself needs no explanation - it is beautifully restored to maintain the memories of those that lost their lives.
- purpura198600Everything was perfectwe really liked the tour, the driver was very careful on the road, kind and smiling. very organized tour and we lov3d that we were able to pay with euros
- 390laceyh00Highly recommendReally good experience with this company, you pay cash to your driver after the tours which you would never get in the UK. Konrad our driver was very helpful and picked us up from our hotel 7.30 bang on time in krakow, we had just over an hours journey to Auschwitz. After the main camp we had a short break to eat lunch - we didn’t go for the packed lunch option but brought a packed lunch instead. After the second camp we had around an hours journey to the salt mines. The salt mine tour lasts around 2 hours and then we had about a 20 min journey back into krakow. Everything ran smoothly and would highly recommend if you’re looking for a full day out during a stay in krakow
- 152niamhk00KrakowDriver was waiting for us when we left hotel, he was courteous and funny and very knowledgeable about the city. Long day but welll worth it. Lots of walking.
- JULIE W00Fantastic tour experiencePatrick our guide was fab. He contacted us the day before confirming pick up time. The day was very organised. There is a lot of driving around. The minibus was comfortable. Recommend to take snacks&lunch as there is little time between sites to eat. The tour operators can prepare a lunch for you if needed. Lots of walking and outdoors - take comfortable shoes and an umbrella if rain if predicted. The guide at Auschwitz was amazing as he led us through the tour. He delivered a respectful historic account. The salt mine tour was great. It is an amazing place that has been created over the years. Another fab guide. Thank you for the tour.
- CS_6600Excellent tourBooked before travelling to Krakow to ensure we could go on our preferred day. Communication was excellent throughout, including the day before from the driver and again in the morning. The early pick up was spot on time from our apartment and the mini van was modern and clean. Special mention for Daniel, our driver, who was polite and helpful throughout, ensuring everything was clear, making sure we met the tour guide at Auschwitz and getting us through the ticketing. The tour of Auschwitz was excellent in terms of information, accepting the nature of the subject matter. The salt mine element was equally well organised by the tour company although the tour itself a bit long for the content. Payment for the whole tour is made at the end of the day so absolutely no risk when booking, you don't come across that very often. Overall highly recommend the tour and this company
- G7022RAdamianm00A sombre and emotional visitIt was a very informative and often harrowing experience but most definitely a must do.The guide was brilliant and our driver Daniel was a great guy too.
- Escape2885229678300Excellent ServiceAfter reading through lots of reviews on a range of tours I’m so glad we finally choose this well organised tour. Our Driver Daniel checked in with us the night before offering us the lunch deal which we agreed to and was well worth the £18 for us both which included water, apple juice, apple, banana, ham/cheese salad baguette, choc croissant and a chocolate bar. Daniel was on our doorstep the following morning bang on time. Both tours were excellent with very knowledgeable guides. A long day and a lot of walking but totally worth it.

An experience I’m glad we did. Lovely driver, he collected us at the time agreed and offered to drop us off after the excursion anywhere we wishes and not just back to our hotel which was very nice of him. Although the group you walk around the tour was quite big the bus journey was for a max of 8 people which was nice and spacious. Despite being quite busy the tour guide took her time and was very knowledgeable. The excursion was well organised well and I would recommend anyone doing it.

Our driver arrived early for our pick up in a lovely clean, warm vehicle. He explained the details of the day and put on a video about Aushwitz while we drove through the snow to the camp.
Our guide was waiting for us on arrival and after clearing the security at the camp had a superb and informative tour. Comfy shoes a must as this part of the tour is about two hours .
The packed lunch ( ordered through the company the day before ) was very filling and tasty. We eat this on the short drive to the next camp where our guide was again waiting for us .
A superbly well organised tour. Highly recommend

Our driver was very kind and could speak good English. He drove us safely from and to Krakau and from Auschwitz 1 to Birkenau.
We were very glad that we had such a carefree travelling experience for our day to Auschwitz - the visit was, although very educational and impressive - emotionally draining and we were very thankful for the good care the driver took of us that day.
Thank you for a day that we will never forget!

Really "enjoyable" (if that's the right word?). The tour itself was really good, but thomas (our driver ), made the experience for us. Such a lovely man, so helpful and friendly, he really looked after us. He also told us all about the mountain resorts in Poland- we are sold and will definitely be back!

The day before the tour we were contacted by Slavek for the pickup time and if we were interested in a lunchpackage. Slavek picked us up at the metioned time.
Between the two tours we were handed out our lunch package. This package was more than enough with sandwiches, drinks, fruits and a chocolade bar.
Both tours were very interesting and informative.
After the tour Slavek brought us back to our appartment.
We are very satisfied.

The representative was attentive to my needs. I thought I would feel lost getting there because we didn't start with the rest of the group in Krakow. He contacted me and we met the tour guide and our group at the entrance. They took us to the second camp and they drop us off where we were staying.
The tour guide was very thorough and informative. I would say it went through smoothly and we were very satisfied.

We were picked up from our hotel at 7.30am by a professional, English speaking driver. I was sent an email conformation the day before advising us of our pick up time. The mini bus van was very clean and had air conditioning. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and was very informative. I would highly recommend this company and the trip to all.

The site has been well preserved, the tour guide was excellent and told the story with all his heart and sole. This must be kept going as everyone should know the devastation the camp bought with it.
The big disappointment was the incredible number of visitors, it was a non-stop walk around. There was no time to stop and contemplate what happened within these walls which was a great pity.

The hotel pickup was on time, and the journey fine. It's a bit difficult to see why the start time needs to be so early (7.40am!), as the whole trip is only about 6 hours, and we were back at our hotel around 2pm, but perhaps the site is less crowded in the morning. We had a very knowledgeable and interesting guide, and the audio system worked OK most of the time. It's worth noting that, although there is a short break between the Auschwitz and Birkenau parts of the tour, it is very short - maybe 10 minutes, and not really long enough for more than a toilet visit. With an early start it would have been good to have had a long enough break to grab a lunch snack - not really possible. It's also quite arduous as you're on your feet all the time and there is quite a lot of walking with nowhere to rest. It's also worth noting that there are rigorous security rules for entering the Auschwitz site (not for Birkenau though). No bag larger than 200 X 300mm is allowed in, so best to organise your stuff before you arrive. Having said that you don't really need to take anything in with you except camera/phone, and there is a place to leave larger bags safely.

Do you also have to purchase entry to the museum separately or is this included in the price of the tour?

We did the morning trip & were picked up around 9am. We had 3 other pick ups (group of 7) which meant driving around city in traffic for a while. The journey to Auschwitz took about 1hr10mins so actual tour started at 11am.

The trip is 6 hours. What time is actually spent in the two camps and what is the travelling time from Krakow
tyfatchild
St. Gabriel42 contributions
I think traveling time is about an hour to Auschwitz. During that time you watch a video made by the Russians of their liberation of the sites. Upon arrival at Auschwitz you join a larger tour of the site which takes you thorough several buildings on the 25 acre site. This is where you see the items such as hair and eyeglasses collected by the Nazis. We had a 20 minute break before our designated tour time which we spent getting something to eat as there's no lunch stop. The driver then took us to Auschwitz-Birkenau, the larger site. We walked around that site with a guided tour for at least an hour I think. As well as I can remember, travel time to Auschwitz and return is about 2 hours plus 20 minute break plus half hour or less between sites. It was a very sobering experience for me. Hope this helps.
