- joannehH4333WA00Jewish Kraków Walking TourThis was a wonderful tour to learn about the lives of the people who inhabited the Kazimierz. It isn't just about WWII, but instead the history of the area and the people who lived there. The tour guide was extremely informative and passionate about this subject. The tour was over 3 hours, so be prepared with comfortable footwear.
- MiHills00Informative and interestingA really interesting museum, I learnt a lot about not only the factory itself, but also Krakow during the war, that is very much thanks to the vast knowledge our tour guide had! (I must apologise I forgot his name as it’s been a little while since going!) honestly took a lot away from the experience and definitely recommend.
- igpapadi00Great!Lucy was a great guide, very expressive and she also gave us some insight in modern Poland, which was very interesting.
- Clive M00Krakow old town tourOur tour guide Max took us on an incredibly informative and interesting walk around the city. We started at the Barbican and worked our way towards the cathedral and river. We were walking for nearly three hours, but the time flew by. Max’s enthusiasm for the city and its history meant that we now have a really good understanding of Krakow. He responded to our questions and interests and gave us time for a coffee stop halfway through. A great introduction to the city. We would recommend it.
- ann s00Krakow comes alive with fabulous guidesWe did the Jewish Krakow walking tour and found it fascinating. Our guide Victoria was knowledgeable and held her audience rapt. Never a dull moment. The following day we did Krakow old town with Chris. He kept us all engaged with his quirky sense of humour.
- 739monikal00Highlight of our tripThe best tour in Krakow. The guide was very knowledgeable and engaging this experience made our trip memorable. It is a completely different experience walking through Krakow with a knowledge of what has taken place in the past .
- cooperb84200Great experience, would highly recommendFantastic guide. Moving experience. Would tour with them again. Our guide was extremely well informed, kind, and made sure we always felt engaged and informed.
- 19katrinak00A must visitIt was a very moving and informal visit, able to walk round at own leisure interactive screens available plenty to read and absorb
- Sightseer77067600Jewish tour of krakowDid the Jewish tour with Jacob. He knows his history. 2 and half hours around krakow with history of jews in Poland. Easy walk although we have walked miles on this few days in krakow.
- Ms P00Fascinating tours led by TomaszMy 15 year old daughter and I went on two Walkative tours led by Tomasz (Big Tom). We started with the Old Town tour, and found Tomasz to be very informative and interesting to listen to - he is a charismatic story teller who clearly has an incredible amount of knowledge. We enjoyed this tour so much that we then booked to go with him again on the Jewish Quarter tour the next day! This tour was even better, it was absolutely fascinating and Tomasz was incredible in telling the stories of individuals affected by the creation of the Jewish ghetto in Krakow. Tomasz has such an empathy and understanding of human behaviour which shines through in the way he describes events of the past. The time sped past and we both left feeling that we could have listened to Tomasz for much longer. We would highly recommend joining a Walkative tour in Krakow and particularly one led by Big Tom!
- lena2204c00Great informative tours (here a review regarding accessibility)Jewish Quarter Krakow We enjoyed the tour with Natalia very much. Regarding accessibility: - Please note that route doesn't qualify as accessible for people with reduced mobility. The main issue was very nasty cobblestone. However, the guide really tried to assure that I as a wheelchair user could take part without having too hard of a time. For instance, she always chose a way with flat curbs and if the cobblestone was too bad, so many people offered their help without forcing it upon me. There weren't any stairs we had to navigate. The Communist walking tour was in much more accessible terrain, and here too, Natalia really tried to adapt the route to make it more wheelchair-accessible. Especially for wheelchair user with less body functions or less active wheelchairs, there are still some points where it can get difficult because the floor is too uneven or a hill is too steep. Both tours with Natalia were very informative and funny, we had good time. We loved her sarcastic way of talking about the past and the present, with her finding a good balance between a more serious and a more funny tone. - She showed us several pictures of people and the way the ghetto looked (etc). She still described what can be seen on the picture given my friend is blind.
- ccurri1200SIGN UP NOW!We did the Jewish Krakow walking tour with Maciek and it was fantastic. He was not only very informative but also very passionate about the history which made the tour even more interesting. He not only tells about how Jews came to settle in Krakow and what happened in WWII, but about Jews is all of Europe and their history. Definitely a must do tour if you come to Krakow.
- Zeta P00Book the tour!We did both Jewish Krakow with Joanna and Old city tour with Tomasz. Both of the guides were amazing, we had a great time and learned a lot. Definitely recommend!
- syllwii00Amazing tour with Big TomJust had a fantastic Jewish Krakow tour with Big Tom. Story telling is an art and Big Tom is one of the biggest…! From the first minute he captures your attention and you stay, with goose bumps, focused until the last moment. We did quite a few of Walkative tours in many places, but this one was by far the best!
- joelburkin00Best tour in PolandKuba is an enthusiastic and charming guide with a wealth of knowledge. He entertained us for 3 hours with humourous and fascinating historical stories while showing us through the Krakow old town area. I highly recommend a private tour for family and friends as the experience is more intimate and customised to your interests.

Our guide - Dominika (nickname Hamsa) - was well-informed, animated, enthusiastic and highly responsive to the group of 10 or so. She was positively delightful and exceptional, with English that was clear and easy to understand. She adeptly provided details that were factual and anecdotes that kept our interest, all to help us understand the culture, geography, and history of Krakow, complete with its sorrow and its restoration to what it is today. Her enthusiasm and credibility were further fueled by her interest, involvement and significant service in the local community. This was truly a wonderful and charming experience for us all! Thank you Dominika!!

We did the old town walking tour today and it was fantastic. Max was our tour guide and he really knows his stuff, you can see that he has a passion for history and languages. The tour itself was 2 and a half hours, starting by the Barbican at Floriánska and ending at the bottom of Wawel Castle. At first it felt quite information heavy but it got more interesting as it went on as the history got more modern, plus our hangovers were slowly wearing off as the tour went on lol. I’d definitely recommend this to groups of friends/families both old and young that are looking for something to make the most of seeing the city in a short space of time.

Very good walking tour. We did the tour on our second day in Kraków, did not realise how much history we missed walking about the previous day.
Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about the history of Kraków or about local buildings or architecture.
Jakob was a great guide, very good story teller about each topic and full of information and good humour.
The free tour is also good as it’s run off tips basis (pay what you think is worth) and that means what you pay is going to the guide for that tour at the final finishing point, no pressure what you give. Every tour we have done has been amazing so would highly recommend to anyone with a few hours spare.
We have already booked another tour for the Jewish quarter tomorrow.
Highly recommend Walkative.

A good way to see Krakow’s attractive old town and learn something about it at the same time, this was quite a long (2½ hour) walking tour with a very short break in the middle for the loo or refreshments. That said, it’s all pretty flat apart from the castle at the end, and there’s a lot of stopping along the way, so it’s by no means strenuous.
You start off near the small section of remaining old city wall and adjacent fortress and continue in to the main square. We didn’t see loads that we hadn’t from just wandering around ourselves, but there were a few corners that we had missed and it was interesting to get the commentary as well. Our guide, Natalia, was a Krakow native so knew everything there was to know about the city, but spoke very good English and was quite engaging as well as being informative.
The ”pay what you want” policy is unusual, hopefully she was adequately recompensed for her time as she did a good job. Recommended.

The Krakow in a nutshell walking tour is a gem of a tour if you have 3 hours to immerse yourself in the city’s development from the 10th century to present day.
The nutshell tour is an alternative of other walking tours, such as the free tour, or the larger group tour. Our tour promised a maximum of 15 persons, but the reality it was a small group of 4 people: 2 couples, and we had ANNA as an incredible guide. Her wealth of knowledge of the history and politics of Krakow, and Poland, and her naturally engaging and interacting with the small group made it a walking experience I’ll never forget. Anna has a huge knowledge of tales connecting the history of the city making the walk a joy and not just a history lesson.
The tour included the old city, the original university of Krakow, naturally churches and Pope JP II, the cathedral and the palace/castle. I recommend good walking shoes or boots to be worn as the terrain varies a little, and I recommend the coffee shop in the university.

Our guide was obviously a history expert, pursuing his PhD and extremely well informed and passionate without being overbearing. Gave us some cool facts about Poland without going too far into boring architectural details but focusing on relevant history. Great tour, highly recommend.

Amazing experience. I attended the Old Town Krakow tour and Jewish history and really liked both of it. The guides were of full energy and extremely friendly people with very good knowledge about the city and history, especially guide Victoria who did the old town tour. Please don't forget to keep some money with you to tip them at the end of the tour, of course, they are not going to ask you but they do an amazing job that you will feel like paying much more! I loved it!

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, it was only my husband and I on the tour and it was fantastic. Our (masked) guide spoke English like an American, was very friendly and most importantly was very knowledgeable. We love taking these "free" walking tours whenever we take a city trip and this one was one of the best we've taken.
Thank you for a wonderful morning !

Our guide was exceptional, she was very informative and knowledgeable. The tour gave a great overview of the city and was a good thing to do early on in the visit, to help get your bearings. It was brilliant for an insight into Krawkow's varied history from mediaeval (and mythical) to modern day!
I would also recommend their Schindler's Factory tour which was a much more engaging way to go round the factory.

Great tour, Lucy our guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and made the tour very interactive. One thing to note is that this is a free walking tour with an option to pay the guide at the end. I would recommend booking through the tours site directly and not pay through trip advisor because at the end of the tour this is where you would pay.
