- Doolie770 contributionsWielichka Salt MineVisited here with friends for a 5 pm guided tour and the whole place were heaving with people queuing in different language rows. Entrance into the bottom section was very gruelling with 378 steps descending the whole way down. Fascinating sculptures carved out of salt were present in various chambers. Very interesting experience, but one visit was adequate owing to the tremendous ascending and descending route.Great experience to have seen this wonderful creation .especially navigating the route with uphill ascent and downhill descent in all the numerous chambers with well lit signage. Alll groups must follow the guide closely. Great gift shop and a cafeteria at the end of the tour. Exit is via two lifts as location was 135 metres down.Written August 15, 2024
- amandasS1713PP0 contributionsGroup tripWe were a group of 13 so a group tour was the best option , I contacted krakow discovery who gave me al the costs and info we needed for our visit , I had seen people let down by other companies so was nervous booking but we were not disappointed , collected from our hotel in a comfortable mini bus with a friendly driver who met our guide and she was very informative and passionate , a moving visit which highlighted the atrocious cruelty which was inflicted on so many people , our driver met us to then transfer to Birkenau , again our guide talked and walked us around the camp , a hot day in May so have a sun hat as no shade , Thank you for organisingWritten June 12, 2024

- jimmykC2064PN0 contributionsA slap on the cheek of humanity and a reminder to a World on the edge ..A must visit .. "Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it " If you don't know brace yourself, If you've seen movies and read books on the Holocaust .. Visiting the camps and touching its very existence makes it totally real.. Be calm be reflective be peaceful for those that were persecuted and murdered in such an evil way .. and pray that weak humanity never ever resorts to this evil again.Written May 9, 2024

- Tamikafitz0 contributions100% must do in KrakowAbsolutely amazing experience, highly recommend this company. Arrive on time, kept us updated and even organised lunch for our tour with a gluten free option for my coeliac husband.Written February 26, 2024
- David W0 contributionsSuper Organised TourBooked the tour very easily via trip advisor. Received instructions of our tour itinerary and our pick-up time in advance. Also, the option to purchase a packed lunch as the possibility to purchase food and drink at Auschwitz is limited to vending machines. We opted for a packed lunch each but could have easily shared between 2 as lots of food included. Konrad, our tour guide was punctual and kept us well informed of timings, etc. The tour of Auschwitz was very emotional and harrowing in highlighting the unbelievable treatment of the Jews. If you are considering a trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau, I would highly recommend this one as it was so well organised.Written February 2, 2024

Fantastic driver (thanks Daniel) and very informative guided visits to Auschwitz and the salt mines. Yes, Auschwitz is incredibly sad and emotionally draining, but the tour guide was excellent as very informative for this important visit. Please be respectful with when and how you take photos at Auschwitz - Birkenau; some people in other groups were very disrespectful and rightful got told off.
The salt mines were great fun and we found the wooden support structures and intricate carvings fascinating. We are so glad we went on this tour and it felt like good value for money. Thank you for taking care of us and for providing our holiday highlight!

You guys are so professional.
Lucasz (our driver) is great. Polite and explains everything you need to know about the tour. He picks you up from your hotel and brings you back when the tour ends.
Everything was so well organised. Tickets were already on our hands when we arrived to Auschwitz- Birkenau camp so you don't even wait to enter. Same in Wieliczka salt mine! A lunch basket was made for us (Lucaz suggested it because the tour takes 11 hours and there's no time to eat something. It costs 10€ including a freshly made sandwich, an apple, a banana, water, apple juice and a milk wafer). The Polish tour guides also great. Especially Agnieszka (salt mine's guide) who has looked after us and made us laugh several times.
A day to remember thanks to all of you guys.
Dziękuję bardzo!

This is an incredible day out, definitely not one to be missed and worth every penny.
Our guides were Daniel and Slawek. They collected us from our hotel, ensured we had our tickets, arranged lunch and introduced us to our tour guides for each excursion. They were professional and informative at all times.
The tour guides for each excursion were knowledgeable and showed compassion and respect.
I’ve watched so many documentaries on Auschwitz and Birkenau but nothing can put into words how you feel walking the same path that do many Jewish people did under the SS regime.
The Salt Mines are breathtaking and no photos can show the enormity of these mines.
I can’t recommend this excursion enough. If you’re visiting Krakow, please pre book this trip through this link.

We booked just a few days before we wanted to travel. Communication was instant and the trip was confirmed quickly. I received a message as we landed in Poland to say that our pick-up time had been put back an hour, which was fine for us, so we were picked up from our hotel at 8:40 am. Mario, our driver, explained everything clearly and the day ran smoothly. In return from the Auswitch tour, we were the only people in the group who had booked the salt mines visit, but we were transferred to another car on the way back and this also ran smoothly. We were back in Krakow by 6:30pm. No deposit required, no upfront payment - we just paid the driver in cash at the end of the trip. I would highly recommend this company for the excellent communication before the trip and service on the day.

After reading through lots of reviews on a range of tours I’m so glad we finally choose this well organised tour. Our Driver Daniel checked in with us the night before offering us the lunch deal which we agreed to and was well worth the £18 for us both which included water, apple juice, apple, banana, ham/cheese salad baguette, choc croissant and a chocolate bar. Daniel was on our doorstep the following morning bang on time. Both tours were excellent with very knowledgeable guides. A long day and a lot of walking but totally worth it.

Organised to perfection. Early prompt pickup (7:30) in a roomy 7 seater taxi and straight to Auschwitz where entrance was pre-planned with named tickets. The guide did a great job throughout covered by headsets so you could wander about whilst still picking up the commentary clearly - worked really well. Then a short ride to Birkenau for a guided walk; again perfectly done with lots of time to take in the place and have a think. The same taxi then took us to the salt mines with dedicated guide to lead the tour. The driver then dropped us off at our chosen places in Krakow; he dropped us off outside Mufo at 6PM to catch the last hour before closing (free on Tuesdays!) so perfect end to a long but memorable day. Special thanks to the driver who also ensured the logistics ran well - great job.

The driver Slawek did a great job picking us up and taking us to both Auschwitz and the Salt Mine, and very communicative. The tours were great and informative. Auschwitz- Birkenau is really a place that is a must visit for its historical significance.

Speedy responses to emails, excellent tour guide in Auschwitz. Our driver Dawid was always on standby for any questions & to guide us to where we needed to be. He waited until we had gotten through both Auschwitz & Birkenbau & again at the Saltmines. He was very polite & friendly. I will recommend this company to my friends & family visiting Krakow in future.

My favorite part of the experience was the ease of everything. To schedule, I used email and the company was very responsive and quick to reply. Driver picked you up from your hotel and you arrived at Auschwitz right on time for the guided tour. Driver was very informative and answered all my questions. After Auschwitz, you are driven to the Salt Mines were the tour started right on time, there was no waiting around (even during the Pandemic). The company procured all the tickets, so you don't need to worry about that. It was a wonderful experience with no stress!

Hi, we are a family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 kids (a 3 year old and a 5 year old). Would it be possible to book this full day tour ?(I can't see an option to include my 3 year old)!
Also, if we want to pay for the additional lift access at the Salt mine to get to underground, how much will this costs ?
