- 835dino00Didn't get what we paid for!Great experience. However, the operator said they wanted to cut the tour short. Gave us a lame excuse that it was too hot in august! It was only 82F. I recommend going, but chose a different tour operator.
- MiHills00Well organised and polite guide/driver, an eye opening experience.I would firstly like to say the whole organisation was fantastic! The communication of being collected/dropped off was easy and flawless. The driver we had was extremely nice and polite and helped us with getting through the entrance with security/tickets. Our tour guide was also fantastic! Very knowledgable and clearly passionate about the history behind the two camps. He very clearly knows his stuff. The two camps themselves were very interesting and it really paints a picture of what happened throughout the awful years they were in use. There were things I’d never even heard of that took place there and it was a real eye opener. I would recommend this to anyone who is in the area and are wanting to learn more about the topic.
- nicolamck29x00Excellent trip & very interestingWe really enjoyed our tour and found it very interesting - can't quite explain that harrowing, horror feeling while you're walking around. The tour was very well organised, with a prompt pick-up and great communication beforehand about the pick-up and timings etc. We thought it was a nice touch that ordering a lunchbox was offered given the lack of food options there. Our tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable - but I understand this is provided by Auschwitz rather than the tour organiser. I feel you could spend hours here on an unguided option, but the tour offered enough information and things to see and we would definitely recommend this for seeing both sites.
- Relax36995900Well organisedSo well organised from pick up from hotel the guided tour and dropped back off will definetly use again
- Musher12300Aushvitz and birkenau guided tourExcellent tour exceeded our expectations and driver was prompt and very friendly and helpful. English speaking guide was excellent his knowledge was brilliant highly recommend
- Monty E00Memorable, very impressive, unforgettable.Great organizing. On time. New van. Very comfortable. Auschwitz video during transport. The female tour guide was very personal and sincere, not just information. Her English vocabulary and conversation were excellent but her accent when speaking English was a little heavy though. I’d recommend clearer pronunciation. But still I’d definitely take her tour again.
- Mark H00Auschwitz-Birkenau tripThe whole trip was so perfectly done from the driver pick up to our guide who was so good, informative and compassionate.
- Liz E00UnderwhelmedI’ve been wanting to visit for many years and I felt really let down by how busy and touristy it was and so was quite disappointed. You feel as though you are being rushed and not given chance to actually absorb and take it all in . The break was only 10 minutes before going onto the second half of the tour . Too many groups with too many people , and it is so packed that the groups pass each other on the stairs , and you leave one area and still trying to absorb that while the guide is already onto the next topic / area . This needs to be less of a money maker and more of a memorial for those lives lost here . Make it less hectic with less groups so that visitors can be more spread out , not cattle being herded while the tills rake it all in. I am glad i visited all the same , but mine isn’t the only experience like this . Please please take these reviews on board .
- lanas81200Wear comfortable shoes.Absolutely astounding. It's no secret that a tour like this is going to be eye opening and emotional but nothing prepares you for the eery/melancholy feeling of actually being on the grounds. Absolutely worth the money to appreciate and never forget such a dark era of history. Wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking and the terrain is rocky most of the way (Converses did not cut it for me). Our tour guide, Monica, was absolutely outstanding! So knowledgeable, respectful and thorough, we were in safe hands. There are certain areas that pictures are not allowed. Some disrespectful visitors were taking pictures, Monica explained (more respectfully than I would have!) how this was not allowed. We visited key areas of the camp. Some visitors did not have a tour guide and I feel they may have missed important details without one. Shout out to Mario who was an excellent driver! 100% recommend.
- Mgenerini00GoodEasy to communicate, transportation on time and clean car, small group. If you cant/dont want to take care of bringing a snack, order the lunch box with them.
- sarielle081600Excellent, important yet somberThe ride to the memorial was pleasant and prompt. Please keep in mind that all tours come together into groups of 30 so they can handle all visitors. There are no small or private tours which we originally wanted. This tour company was very fine, and we were not misled in any way. Our driver guided us and was patient with everyone. I would say that the tour itself was excellent and very tastefully done. Anna was a wonderful guide. There will be points where the gravity of the place really hits home. However, this is the history. Please keep in mind that there is quite a bit of walking. I would not recommend combining this with another place to see such as the Salt Mines. It may be too emotionally and physically draining.
- N5550UEyvonnes00ExcellentVery thorough tour. Guide was excellent. Good communication with your operator & driver. Would recommend to anyone.
- R3915KHalicet00A very well organised, informative and moving tour - great value for money. This was a very well organised trip. Picked up from outside our hotel and driven to Auschwitz where our driver organised our tickets for us and we met with our tour guide. The tour was very moving, very informative and a bucket list item for me. We opted to pay 50zlt (about £10) for a packed lunch provided by the tour and oh wow was it good value for money!! We got a fresh baguette, bag of crisps, 2 bananas, an apple, a crossiant, giant chocolate bar, carton of juice and a bottle of water all for £10!! Our driver then took us to the second camp where we met with our tour guide again for another informative tour, before driving us back to our hotel.
- jessicawR2383OH00Moving trip to a significant part of our history. We must learn from our past so mistakes are not made in the future. The transport over the day was great. Collection from hotel by a very polite driver who was on hand with an umbrella! Communication prior to the trip was regular and although we didn’t take them up on the offer of the additionally charged packed lunch others on the trip had it and said it was lovely. On arrival at the venue the driver pointed out buildings of significance also linked with Auschwitz, such as the German soldiers casino. The tour itself was led by a very informative guide who dealt with the subject matter with sensitivity. Be aware there is a large of walking involved in this tour so wear your comfortable shoes!
- chelsea18900Informative and eye opening tourGreat tour operator with excellent communication. The tour itself was informative and eye opening, a lot of information was given at the sites. However, we sadly couldnt hear the guide very well on the second part of the tour due to being outside and with no microphone. But was still good. The tour is not wheelchair friendly and includes a lot of walking - this wasnt an issue for us but I understand it may be for some. Would recommend, but would also recommend a smaller group tour to avoid being rushed and missing bits of information given.

This trip was brilliantly organised and I would highly recommend. We were informed of our hotel pick up time the day before (having already been given a time frame) and were also asked if we wanted a packed lunch for 35zloty - well worth the purchase, good value, delicious baguette and there isn't too much choice to get food elsewhere anyway!
We were picked up right on time (8.40am) and there was 9 of us in the minibus in total (incl. the driver). We were given clear instructions throughout the day and were given plenty of toilet/rest breaks. The guides at Auschwitz and the Salt Mines were both professional and informative. We were dropped off back at our hotel around 6.30pm (about a 10 hour day).
Be aware it is quite a long day which requires a lot of walking but the trip is great value (you don't have to worry about organising a thing) and makes sense to get them both done in one day if you want to free up other days.

This trip was excellent. You do not go the Auschwitz expecting to enjoy the visit, and the hope is that you get to understand and appreciate the awful atrocities that took place there. Our driver and our guide were both excellent. The trip started with a prompt pickup from our apartment. We were shown a video on the way to Auschwitz given a good impression of the history and what to expect. Our guide around the camp was superb, really giving the history of what went on and was clearly passionate to impart knowledge and also her personal feelings with regards to the terrible things that occurred. This is really a trip that must be done, but emotionally it is very draining.
The Salt Mines were simply superb, again very wort the visit, but for very different reasons. The guide was passionate and excellent. This is a must visit attraction.
thanks for a great trip.

This was somewhere I always wanted to visit so my daughter booked it for me as a present.
Excellent well organised day . Thomas confirmed my booking and I spoke to him over the phone he was very pleasant and put my mind at easy as regards to the pick up location Very good value for money .Our Driver Lucas I believe even though my daughter still insists he was called Thomas was excellent. We were picked up at our Hotel on time offered a packed lunch by our driver Lucas ? which I would advise anyone booking this tour to accept (about £6/7 ) as it’s a long day with a lot of walking . Guides at both locations were very knowledgable
The Salt Mines was the last visit of the day and a welcome uplifting experience after visiting Auschwitz which I will never forget neither will my daughter.
Thank you

We were picked up from our hotel by a very friendly guy, there were 6 other travellers with us in the van. The driver took us to where we needed to be and made sure we were all ok and knew where to meet him at the end of the tour. The tour guide at Auschwitz was excellent, he also did the tour of Birkenau. He was extremely knowledgeable and took care to ensure we all stayed together, that we were ok through the tour especially as it is obviously quite upsetting and emotive. We were lucky as the weather was very warm for October. We then travelled back towards Krakow to the Salt mine, unfortunately the lady who guided us through was not so good, but really the most impressive thing was the underground chapel carved from salt, so it didn’t matter that she was not so attentive. We got back to Krakow around 6 pm.

This tour was amazing from start to finish. Our tour guide was called Igor and he couldn’t have been any more helpful. He greeted us in the morning with a handshake and he was very friendly. He explained the timetable for the day and made sure everyone was comfortable with it. Igor made sure everyone was warm enough and comfortable throughout the journey. We were shown a video on the way to Auschwitz for information and throughout the journey he showed us famous landmarks and places worth visiting. The tour guide at Auschwitz was very informative and passionate and at no point were we rushed. The Auschwitz tour and Birkenau is definitely worth doing, it’s very interesting and surreal. Once we had finished at Auschwitz we went to the salt mines and had a short break for lunch once we arrived. The tour guide at the salt mines was again very passionate and had a vast amount of knowledge! She made the tour fun and there were interactive opportunities. Again it’s definitely a tour we would recommend. Igor had ensured throughout the whole day everyone knew where he would be waiting for us and what to expect at each part of the day. He was chatty throughout the journey back and dropped everyone back at their hotels. Thanks for a great day!

This trip was amazing and all I thought it would be and more - our guide Elona was exceptional. This lady knew her history and managed to convey it to us with the true emotion that could not leave you unsure as to the atrocities and heartbreak which occurred in Autswitch and Birkenbrau. She never rushed the trip and she was able to answer all and any questions that were asked of her. I cannot express how glad we were to have had her. Thomas our driver was brilliant with great humour and very professional. We then went onto the salt mine. Such a fab place to go and our guide was so witty and imparted wonderful knowledge. Amazing trip to take. Lunch was fab, gorgeous pasta salad, drink, very tasty sandwich, fruit & a sweet. Minibus was so comfortable.

Myself and my partner went on this tour yesterday. We are still reminiscing on the harrowing experience. Our guide on the Auschwitz tour was very informative (in tactful way). An experience we will not forget. Later, we visited the salt mines. Amazing!! Nicholas our guide was fab with a great sense of humour! Brilliant architecture and use of the mines. Definitely recommend this tour! Doing both tours in one day has allowed us to explore Kraków at a more relaxed pace.

From start to finish it was a well run and awesome value. The pick up was easy the driver was very polite. He confirmed the day before of the pick up times (via text) then on the day he was 5 mins late (which was down to one of the other guests on the tour not the driver) he notified us via text that he was running late.
Auschwitz-Birkenau
This was a truly thought provoking tour. Words cannot fully express the trip To Auschwitz-Birkenau. The tour guid really made the trip special with his knowledge and passion for putting that knowledge. This is a must see. It does put a little perspective and context on what happened.
The salt was awesome for other reasons. The fact the the whole mine has been excavated by hand was unreal. Again another must see tour with a guide who was very knowledgable and interesting.
I would definitely recommend this and especially with this company.
I cannot think of any down points of the tour.

All tours were very enjoyable, well as much as the camps tour could be! Was hard to hear what happened but it needs to be heard! Philip who was our tour guide, was really excellent and really made you feel the heaviness of the place.
Salt Mines were a different world, so fabulous! Again, tour guide Thomas was very good and informative throughout the whole tour.
Marek our driver was really great too and had us picked up on the dot of time.
Overall everything throughout the day was excellent and very well organised. Thank you!

We were picked up from our hotel at 8.45am and arrived back at 7pm so it’s a long day. We didn’t stop for lunch until 3pm so take some snacks with you. You can leave your bags in the mini van throughout the day so take as much as you need.

Hi. We had no food included as part of our tour. A restaurant was booked before we visited the salt mine which you could go to or find your own alternative.

we've currently booked both trips on separate days until we came across doing them both in the same day. just wondering is there a museum at Auschwitz and if so does this tour show you round the museum?
Sladeyhoop
Worthing, UK724 contributions
We did it on 1 day and found it rushed and never really had a chance to look at things/exhibits properly. All of it is a museum in a way but time would be against you to properly look and absorb things in a day.
Stick with the separate days

Yes this tour included the entry fee to the camp and salt mine. Tour was organised very well and great value for money I couldn’t fault the service we received. Driver also offered us opportunity to purchase lunch which we took up this offer.

Hi we are looking to book the full day tour including the salt mines on Monday 11 March but want to check we will get back to the airport in time for the flight; we are scheduled on the Krakow to Stanstead flight that departs at 21.45. If we can get back to the airport in time I will definitely book. Kind regards Tracey

Hi Tracey, I think this would be tight as you'll need to check in for your flight at 1945. As Patricia and Emma have said, the tour does stick to their timings. We asked to be dropped off in the City Centre, personal choice, at that was about 1900 hrs. I feel you'd need to confirm with them before hand, that you'd be the first drop off in terms of the drivers route.
You could visit the Salt Mines independently, if your time permits. Buses go from the center of town and once there, you pay your entry fee and join a guided tour in your language.
