We joined our group at the Soi Coffee and met our lovely guide Ewelina. We all arrived on time so our group of 11 moved onto our first bit of food tasting. After a 2/3 minute walk to Przystanek Pierogarnia we stood outside for our guide to deliver us 4 different Pierogi dishes. (White cheese and potatoes, mushroom and sauerkraut, spinach and cherry).
We then moved on to our next venue with Ewelina talking all the time with some really knowledgeable information about the area.
Our next restaurant included 2 soups ( Zalewalka and Barrszcz).
Onto the next one where we sampled 2 different vodkas, herring, pork Lard, bagel, smoked cheese and sausage.
Our next port of call was beer tasting at Beer Street drinking beer from the local Piwojad Brewery.
Our last restaurant was the Kuchnia u Doroty where we had potato pancakes with goulash, cabbage rolls, stew, beetroot salad, Racuchy ( a lovely deep fried dessert) and a few drinks.
Overall this was a fabulous 3 hours with a lovely very knowledgeable tour guide who was so fun to be with.
We highly recommend this trip to anyone that would like to visit authentic Polish restaurants in beautiful Kraków.
Thanks Ewelina for a great evening xx
P.S. following the trip we were emailed recipes for all the items we had tried, a great touch.

Booked on the Trip Advisdor App on the same day (on arriving in Krakow) everything went smoothly and we were given our rendezvous point and start time.
We were met by our guide Ewelina who turned out to be very knowledgable about the local eateries.
Starting with a small "Przystanek Pierogarnia" where the Pierogi was so tasty that we returned later in our stay to eat there again.
We visited five places and tasted around twenty one different foods, a couple of Vodka's and Beers.
I just had to buy a bottle of "Soplica" Vodka on our way back to our hotel and then also a few litres in the Duty Free on the way home: £7 in Duty Free, but £18 online in the UK - the taste (Quince version) is just superb.
Found this to be such a good introduction of what and where to eat on our first night in Krakow.
Ewelina is such a lovely girl and takes time to explain anything we wanted to know.
Loved it and would definitely recommend this two hour tour.

My wife and I have been on several food tours throughout Europe, but Izabela and Delicious Poland tour of Krakow stands as the best. To start, communication was excellent throughout, as she clearly laid out what we would visit, what we would sample...we did exactly what was described. They changed the start time 30 minutes, but gave us ample opportunity to cancel if the new time did not suit us.

Once we arrived at the tour, we had a group of eight from the US, UK and Germany. We made a total of five stops on the tour and felt we got a great sample and education on Polish cuisine, vodka and beer. Izabela used personal stories and photos to help us understand the heritage of the foods as well as their cultural context. All of the restaurants had tables waiting for us and our food ready to go. Four of the five had tables waiting for us and an attentive wait staff to ensure our food was served fresh and quickly.

Izabela then followed up with a personal email the next morning that detailed all of the restaurants we visited as well as all of the dishes we tried. She also sent us a cookbook of her personal favorite recipes of polish cuisine.

So many other food tours we’ve taken don’t weave in history or the cultural background of dishes. We’ve had several that don’t seem to coordinate well with the restaurants that result in long waits and no seating. Izabela’s was very organized and planned to every last detail. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Krakow, regardless of how many times you have been.

I would recommend taking it early in your visit, as she has many great recommendations that we could not take advantage of since we left the next day. We will have to come back and try them next time. Overall, exceptional tour!

The food tour was fantastic! All the food was delicious - do make sure you are hungry, there is loads of food, you need lots of room! The drinks were great too and what made it really special was Izabela sharing her experiences of childhood foods, how dishes are prepared and what makes them special. Learning about some of Poland's history and cultural ways really brought the food and drink to life. We would definitely recommend this tour. We were the only people the evening we did this tour, but that did not matter. Izabela was chatty and made it a great experience. At the end Izabela took time to write down different places to eat and visit in the city and sent us an email with recipes. Many thanks!

A tour offering Polish food. Whatever next?
Surely it would just be beetroot soup, cabbage and a few glasses of Tyskie. Well it wasn't, so read on!

The Kazimierz Food Tour started, rather unexpectedly, outside a fairly modern looking coffee house on a busy street near Kazimierz. We were met by our guide for the evening, Maciej, who explained the plan of action for the next few hours. We threw a spanner in the works when we said we were both vegetarian! A few 'phone calls later and we were sorted. A vegetarian tour was up and running!

Our first port of call wasn't too far away from our start point. The establishment was noted for its Pierogi, a Polish dish of dumplings. Now this doesn't sound too promising, but they were delicious. We also learned how to tell a decent pierogi from a poor one. The one's sold in restaurants tend to be of the poorer variety.

Our second port of call was to try a couple of vodkas and some 'starters', all of which were delicious. The rest got a bit blurry, partly from the vodka and partly from the intermittent drizzle on my specs (this was in early March).

Our guide guided us around the myriad streets and alleys of Kazimierz, popping into restaurants and bars to try the local produce. It was all truly fantastic. So much so, by the end of our fascinating tour I was stuffed. I couldn't fit another morsel into me, if I had, a repetition of Monty Python's Mr Creosote was on the cards.

All in all, it was a most excellent evening and well worth the money. As it was our first night in Krakow, it also gave us an insight into what to expect and look for when dining out. Overall rating 11/10

Kamila was amazing in her explanations oh how their food became household favorites and when families ate each food. We tried many wonderful dishes from main dishes, salads, soups, desserts, beers and vodkas. The conversation ran smoothly and was so informative and honest. It was truly a night we will remember! We would definitely recommend this tour. It is a top highlight of our travels and we travel frequently.

We took a Food Tour with Izabela on a very cold Krakow night and all the food we tasted was delicious. It was a very comprehensive tour at which we tasted pierogi, soup, several types of finger food, homemade desserts, vodka and craft beer. Reasonable time was allotted for each restaurant/bar and the walking distance between each stop was manageable, even for such a cold night. Izabela kindly sent us all the recipes and a list of all the places we visited and the dishes we tasted. Last but not least, what made this tour even more intimate was the fact that Izabela filled us in with her experiences growing up during the Communist era in Poland and how that affected her life and that of her family. It was fascinating. I’d definitely recommend this lovely tour to anyone visiting Krakow.

We undertook this tour on the first evening of a 4 night stay in Krakow. Izabella was a most wonderful, knowledgeable and personable host sharing much of her experiences as a child to add to our understanding of the history of this fabulous city. The venues for the food choices were fabulous. I ran out of room during the main courses - there is so much lovely food to taste. Izabella made it a very immersive experience, encouraging us to think about the tastes associated with each food and drink we tried. This set us up so well for the rest of our stay as what we tried and where on this food tour then influenced our later dining choices in the following days. Highly recommended
