    What to Expect
Meet In front of Dlugosz House in early afternoon to begin your tour. Perched on top of the hill above the Vistula river, south of the Old Town, the Wawel is the crown jewel of the city's architectural treasures. It is by far the most important collection of buildings in Poland. Its historical and artistic value, dating from the 14th century, places it amongst the gems of the UNESCO World Heritage list. A vast complex of great halls, churches, state apartments and courtyards have their own stories to tell, the atmosphere and a world view of the imperial era. Strolling through the royal chambers, your expert guide will bring the castle to life by explaining the turbulent history surrounding the various buildings and their royal and presidential connections.

Fantastic building, full of history, but 1 1/2 is not long enough. The guide rushed our group through the castle, starting each room before all the group had caught up, so some regularly missed out on what was said. Also disappointing that you are unable...More

A wonderful tour and all the sights to see are wonderful and impressive. Well worth the tour and time to take. The fire breathing dragon along the river was of course my students favorite but the castle itself is beautiful.

Ques very long for tickets, you have to buy separate tickets for each section,, overcrowded, no pictures allowed inside, Dragons den dissapointing, signage not good.. Very wheelchair unfriendly, no assistance, grumpy staff in all rooms.. I won't recommend this place

Yes you can - and sometimes you can even get in the cathedral for free. Worth a wander around on its own merits.
