Stop: 90 minutes - Admission included
Choose your desired tour start time and travel independently to Oskar Schindler’s Factory Museum in central Krakow. Meet your guide outside and hear how the museum is housed in the very factory where the Nazi industrialist Oskar Schindler employed Jewish workers during WWII. Before starting, get an illuminating introduction to Schindler, learning how Steven Spielberg brought his story to the world’s attention in his 1993 Oscar-winning movie, Schindler’s List. Then, head inside for your in-depth tour. Made up of interactive and photographic displays, the museum concentrates not only on Schindler’s and his employees’ work, but also on Krakow’s suffering during the run-up to war and beyond. As you explore, your guide will provide fascinating commentary, recounting poignant tales that will deepen your understanding of what happened here and Krakow’s history. Learn Schindler’s story and how his Jewish employees manufactured pots, pans, tins and other enamelware for the German army: a vital war effort that protected them from near-certain transportation to the concentration camps. See some of the products made here, view Schindler’s office, and hear the fates of some of the 1,200 Schindlerjuden — Schindler’s Jews — who worked in the factory. Follow your guide around the rooms dedicated to Krakow’s suffering during the war and later 20th century. View photographs of the terrorized city; be transported into the cobbled streets, resistance hideaways and prisons of the Nazi- and Soviet-occupied city; and get a sense of the overwhelming fear that gripped the population through original documents, artifacts, and film and radio recordings. After two hours of exploring, your tour ends outside the building. Say goodbye to your guide, who will provide you with directions back to the city center or your hotel as required.

He took care of his worker
Nov 2021
Was unable to book a English tour as schedule conflict, but did on own. Took a Taxi from Hotel and worth it! The museum was well laid out and not too many floors to see. The actual factory roof can be seen, but is now occupied by a other company. His '2nd residence' is located right around the corner but being worked on. There is a short film you can view as it gives the history of Oskar Schindler's museum and all the efforts he made to protect his workers . Really fascinating to see the tools and ceramics the factory turned out. Tour should not take more than 2 hours and I would suggest booking a tour in English as they provide headphones so you can hear your guide much better.

Right outside you will see some Electric Tour carts that are for 'hire' as I got one and received a private tour of the Jewish Ghetto and Kashmir area. Really nice tour and was able to drop off close to my hotel -

Interesting and well laid out, thought provoking

The guide was excellent and we liked the headphones which stopped you having to try and hear him over the crowds and instead he was in my ear. Horrifying what the Krakov people went through, it is well laid out and tells the story of pre war, during occupation and after. Definitely do a guided tour saves on the long queue and got to appreciate the symbolic nature of a lot of the museum layout

Excellent experience

This is well worth a visit. Our tour guide was originally from Poland but had lived in Australia I am sorry I can’t remember his name but he was very informative and made the experience very memorable for us.
The tour is heavily focused on the nazi occupation of Krakow against the backdrop of the Oskar Schindler factory.
Great price and well worth the time. I would strongly advise booking the guided tour.

Great tour -lots to see and absorb
Had a good guide in Weronica who was well versed in the history , the exhibition does get busy and our group I thought was a little large at 16-18 and would have been much better at a max of 12 .
Do this tour before Auschwitz as it sets the scene very well.

Worth a visit!
Olga was a fantastic guide into showing us around this former factory, which is now a museum showing the history of Kraków post WW1 and before WW2, and the changes that took place during and after it.

Note, it's also worth seeing the nearby area which was the former Kraków ghetto, and the square with all the empty chairs there to symbolise all who lost their lives.

We met our tour guide in the foyer & he took us around the museum talking about each area we were in but I would say that it doesn’t give you any time to actually read all the information on the walls etc. You do not spend much time in each area

Entry only if pre-booked?!
Walked from our hotel 2 miles away to the museum only to be turned away by a very abrupt woman on the main desk, as it was ‘full’ for the whole day, no exceptions.

We weren’t the only ones who were being turned away, whilst we were there we saw at least a dozen other people turned away too. On the walk back to our hotel large numbers of people walked past us heading toward the museum - we could only hope they had booked before walking there!

Surely you should be able to visit a museum even if you haven’t booked? Here in the UK I think a lot of our historic places of interest / museums etc would soon find themselves struggling to sustain tourism numbers.

Utterly ridiculous way of operating, some places should be reserved on each tour for people who arrive ‘on- spec’ - we wouldn’t have minded being allocated a time slot & waiting for that, rather than being told quite abruptly it was full & come back tomorrow (we couldn’t go back the next day, as that was our last day in Poland).

Dear Guest, We are very sorry to hear that you could not visit the venue. It seems that the situation you described relates to the service from the museum itself on which we have no influence unfortunately... :( Since daily number of tickets provided by museum is limited we recommend to book the tour from our side. With our help you can do that very easily and without worrying, your entry will be guaranteed! :)
