Very good walking tour, great guide.
Great walking tour with our guide ‘Tufi’. He’s very knowledgable about his city and passionate about its history - both the good and the bad parts. He’s also very good at communicating this history to the tour group. Would highly recommend.

    Excellent guide
Joined tour at 11.00 and started precisely on time. Our guide Paul was very knowledgable and he presented the information in such an entertaining way that we actually remembered most of what he said. The tour was two and a half hours long and we had decided that we would pay and drop out if it became too much. We stayed right to the very end and enjoyed every moment thanks to Paul's stories and anecdotes!

Excellent tour of the Gdansk shipyard
Excellent tour, great guide in Karsha and very informative without being dry. The tour was paced well and just long enough. We also enjoyed the Polish wine at the restaurant within the site.

    (NIE)Wolne Miasto Gdańsk
On Easter Monday we had an amazing tour with Filip. The tour was called (NIE)Wolne Miasto Gdańsk. We did really enjoy it! The tour was full with interesting key facts & stories related to the topic. Filip is a very knowledgable tour guide, excellent prepared, just perfect in his job. We were so involved in the tour, that we even didn't notice the time was running out. We do really appreciate it! Thank you very much Phil and Congrats on your great proficiency & engagement!

    Good but too long
Really nice. It was very informative. The only reason I don’t give it 5 starts is because it was too long for my opinion. The guide said it would last 2-2,5 hours but after 3 hours he was just about to finish. So it was a long time to walk around. also because we were standing still a lot

Sandra was one of the best guides I’ve ever had: very knowledgeable and just as important, very easy to understand. Dress warmly! You stop a lot to hear the fascinating history of this beautiful city!

Wonderful intro tour to the city
Wonderful tour by Filip, 2.5 hours just flew by with his amazing stories of the history of Gdansk. Highly recommended. Only comment is that the group was definitely too large, although Filip did a great job managing

    Fantastic tour
Entusiastic, great voice, great stories, patient, good walking pace, Tufi was just great. But being forced to write at least 100 caracters here sucks.

Our tour was with Kate (Dynamite) who was an excellent tour guide. I pride myself on finding out a great deal about any city before I visit, but I was genuinely impressed by Kate's range of knowledge, local tips and a good sense of humour. Thoroughly recommended!

The walkative tour was really interesting and provided a great overview to Gdansk. Our tour guide was Sofia who was friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer all of our questions. The tour covered all of the main sights in Gdansk and ~1000yrs of history within the 2.5hr tour. It was also really helpful to signpost us to other museums and landmarks to see, as well as recommended cafes and restaurants to try. This is a must do for anyone visiting Gdansk, especially at the start of your trip to help you plan the rest! Thank you Sofia!

Amazing tour of Main Town Gdansk with Kate (Dynamite). Such a well informed tour guide with endless knowledge of her city. Her English was impeccable and even though she had a large group we could hear every word as she also had a microphone when we were in busy areas. I would highly recommend her for any of the tours in Gdansk.

We had an entertaining morning with Marcin who provided a wealthy of knowledge about the history of this truly beautiful and very proud city of Gdansk from medieval times, during the war years and up until today. We visited many sites, lovely buildings, churches, the market square of Royal Walk and fascinating back streets up to the Polish Post Office where our tour ended. Despite the bitterly cold weather everyone was totally engaged and enthralled with Marvin’s stories that also stirred emotion amongst his guests. Fabulous morning, thanks Marcin

Our guide Zosia was very competent and professional and while the tour lasted a little longer than the 2.5 hours promised it seemed like the time flew. It was one of the highlights of our trip and we went back for the Nazi Terror Tour also with Zosia. Its only 2.5km so not a lot of walking and us a great introduction to a stay in the City.

A snowy morning and we met Zocha at the golden gate in central Gdansk. My travelling companion and I were taking part in a free walking tour of Gdansk. The tour started at 11am and finished at 1.30pm. There were twenty participants - some who had not pre booked. I strongly advise always making a reservation in advance.

Free tours are popular, and you tip the guide with what you consider fair. These guides are professional and have trained to get qualifications so that you receive the best experience. I have done walking tours in Bratislava, Riga, vilnius and other cities, and have enjoyed each one.

The tour covered many of the main town sights including St John’s cathedral (a must see).
We also visited an amber store, and to keep us warm a great little cafe which I did not get the name. Zocha gave us a comprehensive tour full of information and fascinating sights despite the snowy weather.

We had set out to pay him the rate if you had payed when booked - about €10. By the end and all the history he had we gave more. Would defiantly recommend to anyone. It is a full 2:30hrs walking but he even explains other things you can do in the city and we did some straight after. Thanks Tufi you were excellent.

Thanks to our guide Filip and his enthusiasm and passion for Gdansk, we managed to look at the city through the centuries and truly feel its spirit. Filip talks about Gdansk with love to every brick so that you start falling in love with the city from the first minutes of the tour. It lasted 2,5 hours but felt like a moment.

I will come back once again and take other Walkative tours dedicated to the Nazi terror and the Anti-communism resistance in Gdansk after WWII, as those historic periods seem very relevant to what we all experience now. Big thanks to Filip and all the Walkative team for arranging such exciting tours!
