Wonderful History of this Incredible Castle
The castle is an incredible site. Its sheer size is unbelievable. I believe it is built across 52 acres, which is mind-blowing. We bought tickets with the audio guide, which was a great experience as the explanations of the various rooms, artefacts, and exhibits are invaluable. You need to be a little physically able to navigate the various steps, so please be aware. It was a wonderful experience, with so much history since the 13th century. The castle actually took over 200 years to be built, so you can imagine the history. In terms of location, we took a train from Gdanz to Malbork, which was about 30 minutes, then walked for about 20 minutes to the largest brick build castle in the world. The entrance fee is cheap. From memory, less than 10 Euros each. You can literally spend the whole day there, so be prepared.

Great castle of the Teutonic order, carefully recounstructed, two hours tour with augioguide. Castle is easilly accessible by Train, Train station is 1 km from the castle. Very interesting.

        Great experience!
Our guide at the castle, Gregory, was wonderful. He was very patient and answered our many questions. It was more like being shown around by a knowledgeable friend than by a tourist guide. Our driver was an excellent driver and also personable. He was on time. We shared many stories of our respective cultures. Again, we were talking as friends. We would recommend both.

The best guided tour of Malbork Castle!!
Had an amazing time on this tour. It was very convenient to get picked from my hotel in Gdańsk and the driver was great too. The tour of the castle lasted about 3 hours, our guide was very experienced and knowledgeable. The guide showed us all of the best parts of the castle and knew all the history of each part.

        Great visit to Malbork Castle
Great experience with this tour. I was picked up at my hotel right on time and driven to the castle. I had a wonderful trip visiting all of the castle's highlights. When I was finished, my driver took me right back to my hotel. All in all it was definitely worth the time seeing the castle from Gdansk.

        Must see object near Gdansk
Very good audio guide in many languages with visual screen on it. Interesting facts of history and castle. Easy navigation to further places. Castle is fascinating with rich exhibition and reconstructed fragments. Castle's size is impressive.

Recommend a trip with Mr. Shuttle to Stutthof
I recommend Mr. Shuttle on a trip to Stutthof. We were picked up by Simon and Anna was our camp guide. I got a text day before the trip with information about where and what time we'd be picked up, it all stood. Anna knows the story very well and led us with great respect through the camp on a private tour. Simon and Anna talk good English and we had a good conversation during the trip. I highly recommend a trip with them. Anna and Simon, Thank you very much,:)

        Really impressed
Lovely castle, really reasonable £10 per ticket. Would be good if you could skip certain parts of the audio guide. Collect the audio equipment from the ticket office at the main entrance, no one tells you this. There are ALOT of stairs , even the toilet and restaurant are downstairs. Not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Huge place and took a good three hours to get around. Travel from Gdansk was a pain with a train ticket to Malbork and then a 20 minute walk from there. Trains varied in price and time from 30 minutes to nearly an hour, make sure you purchase the tickets 5 minutes prior to boarding.

        Highly recommended
Amazing castle. Definitely worth visiting. There are lot of places inside to exhibit. Three gorgeous inner yards. Such a beautiful medieval castle. The castle is large. The price is 70 zlotych. You can get an audio guide on many languages (Russian as well). The exhibition lasts 3-5 hours. You can have a break whenever you want just by pausing the guide.

Very educational and personalized tour. Simon picked us up at the hotel in a minibus with another couple and Thomaz guided us through the museum/camp. History is painful, and all the more important to never forget. Well worth a visit. Recommend having a guide if you don't know Polish since much of the information is in Polish. Both the driver and the guide speak very good English, and they are open to questions and dialogue throughout. Very professional people who are easy to deal with. Thanks for us!

This is a trip well worth making from Gdansk. It takes about an hour .We were lucky as the only ones that morning .Picked up rom hotel by a very knowledgeable driver who old us quite a lot before we got here.
The guide at the camp (Thomaz )was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. I suspect it is much busier in the Summer .
Taxi waited for us and we were back in Gdansk just after lunch.

I visited as part of a cruise tour package whilst in Gdansk. A truly moving tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and made the group's experience but adding additional background stories. In reflection it is so sad what transpired here and it is a tragedy that humans can do this to one another. Great static displays. A must see for anyone interested in history. Glad I did the tour.

The driver for the journey arrived in good time. The vehicle was clean and in a good state of repair.
The driver was waiting for us in the completion of the tour and dropped us back at the Hotel.

Michael was an excellent tour guide. The camp, the 1st to open outside Germany and the last to be liberated by the Red Army was left largely intact by the Germans as they fled.
A different scale to Auchwitz but an interesting tour and worthy of a visit.

The shoes, The chamber,The ovens, hits home, it's horrible but must be seen. An eerie experience. All that aside Micheal really brought some of the horrors to life and can tell you all aspects of the camp. Simon the driver was one of the nicest, friendliest people you will ever meet and a wealth of knowledge on everything.

Paul our driver was incredibly helpful and gave us plenty of tips and advice on things to do in Gdansk on our return journey.
we where very lucky to be the only guests on our tour so we got to experience essentially a private tour. it's heartbreaking to see the scale of the concentration camp and the pile of leather shoes was particularly hard to see. our Guide Mike was incredibly knowledgeable and managed to make what is such a somber experience still a great experience. we're so glad we chose to spend a day of our trip to Gdansk seeing Stutthof and have both learned so much from it.
