Our bus will pick you up at 7 a.m. and after an hour journey we arrive to Trojanovice where we will take a chair lift to the Pustevny resort.
At first we will get a chance to admire the unique folk architecture of Dušan Jurkovič. The folk buildings are inspired by the Carpathian Mountains, enriched with the motifs from Wallachian and Slovaks region. Then we head to the Radhošť hill. During an hour journey, we will see the beauties of the Beskydy mountains from an observation tower. If the weather allows, we will spot the highest peak of the mountains, Lysá Hora. Then we will face the mythical pagan god Radegast and learn about its history. Getting closer to the Radhošť mountain, we might visit a local Mountain cabin for a lunch in order to have some traditional cuisine. Finally we will end up in Radhošť.There stands a little wooden kirk dedicated to the apostles Cyril and Methodius who brought Christianity to the Czech lands. The little church is open irregularly as it is taken care of by volunteers. If we are lucky, we might see the precious interior of the kirk. In front of the kirk there is also a statue of the two aposteles to commemorade their deeds.
When we admire the hill enough, we will go down back to the Pustevny resort where the folk architecture stands. After some refreshment and buying some souveniers, we will walk to a nearby parking lot where our bus will wait to take us back to Ostrava.
