This Live Stream virtual tour makes it possible for you to explore Prague from the comfort of home in with a friendly local historian. You cross the Charles Bridge, symbol of Prague, built over 650 years ago. Enjoying fabulous river views of Prague’s Castle, National Theatre and other famous sites on the Vltava banks, you learn about Czech capital from medieval to modern eras. Moving on through the winding streets of Old Town, we arrive at the fabled Old Town Square where 1000 years ago trade made the Bohemian Kingdom rich. Take in the imposing Old Town Hall with its Astronomical Clock, the soaring Gothic towers of Tyn Church, the art nouveau Jan Hus monument, and the balcony on which the first communist president, Klement Gottwald, stood to announce the Cold War dictatorship in 1948. At each major site, your guide pauses for your questions and discussion. Note: You’ll enjoy a stunning day tour or beautiful illuminated evening tour depending on sunset in Prague on your tour date.

Lively and extremely well versed interactive virtual tour, via Zoom, interspersed with shared video clips illustrating or providing background stories for the places we are being shown on screen. Phone quality audio and video not high definition, but captures adequately the reality of being on the streets and bridges of Prague. I recommend you plan at least two hours, if you wish to visit both Old Town/Charles Bridge and the Prague Castle including its iconic cathedral. Share your questions or interests with the hosts in advance, via email, to enhance your experience. And may it be that in the not too distant future you can walk those streets/bridges with them in person...

Thanks for the warm review. We're so excited to get back to sharing a city we love in this futuristic new medium, even before travel recovers. We are actually working on our live stream from Prague Castle, hoping to launch that when the Royal Gardens open on April 1. Of course, it would be lovely to see you on an "in-person" tour of Prague! Thanks again for the encouraging feedback.

My coworkers and I joined Bonita and Vadim for a virtual tour of Prague's Charles Bridge and Old Town over the festive period and it was as illuminating, insightful and engaging as they are. Their knowledge and enthusiasm were clear as we uncovered the layers of history wrapped around the beautiful city. As none of our group had much prior knowledge of Prague, I loved the way Bonita was able to introduce us to definitive events through the visible landmarks and buildings as they scrolled through the historic centre. As the tour continued, our group were able to engage with them via the microphone and live chat, and we were impressed that no matter the question that was thrown at them, both Bonita and Vadim were able to answer with gusto. For anyone looking to experience Prague from their living room, I'd recommend taking their virtual tour, and hopefully we'll be able to visit in person very soon.

Thanks so much for the positive feedback. It was fun to take to you and your team on a virtual journey through Prague. We're so encouraged to find new ways to share this remarkable city since the pandemic shut down our normal tours. We'd be thrilled to see you all here--then we can end a tour properly in a Prague beer garden! But it's still amazing to be forging ways to help people who may not be able to travel here even in normal years to have an experience from afar. Thanks again for the warm feedback!

My husband and I visited Prague three times in the early '90s, twice with study-abroad students, not long after the breakup of the USSR. Subsequent travel in Europe didn't take us back to Prague simply because there were so many other places on our bucket list. As the city has undoubtedly undergone much change, I would happily return for an in-person tour with Bonita and Vadim, with their love of the city, their broad knowledge of its various facets, and their sense of humor (e.g., Vadim: naked ladies=Renaissance). I especially enjoyed their detailed looks at some of the statues on the Charles bridge. I know quite a bit about the Reformation in Western Europe, less about that movement in Eastern Europe; the overview of Czechoslovakia's religious history was a good refresher. The addition of slides on this virtual night-time tour was "illuminating."

Thanks for the warm review. It has been so exciting for Vadim and I to forge a new way to help folks explore Prague from afar even while the pandemic through us to the curb. I have to say that it would be a delight to tour you in person with our mutual fascination with religious history So much in Prague surprises by having unexpected roots in religious tradition or conflict--from garden design to the Czech passion for theater. And I'd love to hear more about how Prague today compares to your experience of the city in the 90s! Thanks again.

Their virtual tour through familiar streets was a delightful way to travel back to Prague this New Year's weekend! I learned more from their well-researched narration, engaging human stories and amazing historical perspectives than many learn in universities about Prague and Czech culture. I loved the theatrical stories and the clips from inside the theater and other events that were so spot-on with the Charles IV Bridge monuments and views! All this and never having to use sanitizer, masks, or show a passport... Thank you!!

It's amazing that technology can allow us to spend an hour walking through Prague in the comfort of my home in Santiago. Even more impressive was the clarity and ease of our guides Bonita and Vadim who provided incredible insights into the unique statues, buildings, and easy to miss things that adorn the city of Prague. I would definitely recommend this experience and would happily tour another city!

This was an amazing tour of the Charles Bridge and the city square. The tour guides gave context to all the incredible statues on the bridge drawing on their extensive historical knowledge and their personal history and knowledge of the more current events. They really brought the city and it’s amazing architecture to life. I loved how they were able to zoom into features of the statues and architecture and also shared historical images and videos. They completely maximized the abilities of the virtual tour and it made me feel like I had really been there! The only problem was that I was left wanting more time to explore the city with these guides!

With enthusiasm and depth of knowledge, we were swept away to central Europe by Bonita and Vadim. Moving at just the right pace, our tour guides highlighted the history, architecture, and sculpture of Prague. Our guides made use of technology by interspersing historical slides and close-up slides of some of the artwork, which greatly enriched their presentation. Bonita and Vadim made our virtual trip to Prague a truly special experience.

This is our second tour with the Insight Cities company. I loved how Bonita and Vadim made me feel like I was standing on the Charles Bridge in Prague with them! I felt like i was on a one on one tour with them as we strolled across the bridge, learning about the statues. Learned a lot of historical facts. Got to see the Old Town square, the beautiful clock tower. Some wonderful Christmas decorations including a gorgeous huge tree. A lovely tour with fantastic tour guides! Already looking forward to doing more of these with insight cities.

Bonita and Vadim of Insight Cities are fabulous and knowledgeable tour guides - it was like having a lovely dinner conversation with friends while walking through a gorgeous and historically rich city scape. I now want to visit Prague more than ever - with all the art, ancient sites, architecture and beauty we saw, but more importantly, the rich context they provided. The virtual format worked surprisingly well.

You can tell they have a passion both for creating a wonderful tour and for the city itself. Really wonderful time and we can't wait to visit in person. Thank you!
