- OliviaGC20240 contributionsWhat. A. Day. !!What. A. Day. Bravo Prague… Bravo. Myself and my close friend of nine years (both 21 years old) visited Prague’s Museum of Fantastic illusions on a rainy day in August. Upon arrival, we endured a short queue before being offered a student discount by the eagle eyed staff (excellent). As soon as we arrived, we KNEW we were in for a treat. In every room… a new adventure. A new photo opportunity (I have attached many) and a new fact to learn! I WILL be returning. Make no mistake. 5 stars !Written August 25, 2024
- 648taniaw0 contributionsRude staffThe museum was fine, but a staff member named Lucia was very unpleasant and ruined the mood. Her behavior was extremely unprofessional; she was angry and rude. Someone that short-tempered should not be working in a place primarily visited by children.Written May 29, 2024
- Jasmine2409000 contributionsmany illusions for all the familyFun for all ages! brings out the silly side of you - was quite short for the price but if it was much longer it would get too boring. Good place to go for a short visitWritten February 5, 2024
- Essi H0 contributionsWorth a visitFriendly staff, well organized place. Not my favorite museum personally, but my fiance throughly enjoyed it. I would recommend mostly for families and rainy days.Written December 20, 2023
- 537mariamm0 contributionsFantastic Experience and Helpful Staff 💖Very friendly staff and atmosphere. The girl working there even offered her help to photograph us for the pictures, where there had be the both of us in to complete the scene. ❤️ Thank you for the good memories and positive vibes!! 😊 P.S. They have so many things we did not see in other illusion museums, that we recommend everyone interested to visit this miraculous place ^^Written December 17, 2023
- 7anyaa0 contributionsGreat fun for a couple of hours!A really fab way to spend a few hours. We had lots of fun and have lots of great photos! Thank you!Written December 7, 2023
- Beth S0 contributionsGreat fun and valueWe had a lot of fun here. It’s not huge or fancy but if you go with the intention of having fun and the chance to take some really funny photos you will enjoy itWritten December 2, 2023
- fobl110 contributionsGreat fun for all ages. Well worth a visitMe and my wife stumbled across this place while walking around Prague, however the first visit was on a Saturday lunchtime and the queue was going out of the door and down a bit, so we returned on Monday instead and went straight in. It was only about £10 each for a ticket and we probably spent the best part of an hour there, but we did everything there and read everything. So with young kids you may spend much less time, but still worth it. Ideally it would be best to go with someone as you can't take pics very well alone, although some even need a third person where two people are involved in the display. Luckily there was a member of staff who hung around in these areas to help with pictures. Great fun!Written November 6, 2023
- ColMoschin960 contributionsGr8 laughUnique place to experience some weird illusions, nice opportunity to get some properly cool photos as well, tricky to find as it's in a shopping centre and the museum itself is not that big, but not expensive a good laugh and worth visiting.Written February 14, 2023
- Tiffany S0 contributions⭐⭐The queue took a very long time to go down for us to even purchase our tickets, lady on the desk was friendly and polite though. I don't think I would personally visit this place again as it wasn't as fun as we anticipated but I guess some people love it, just wasn't for me! 😊Written February 5, 2023
- Anugyasingh0 contributionsA lot of funThis was so much fun with a kid. Must visit if travelling with children. Its really funny and you will leave with fantastic photos. Small and can be toured in 30 mins. There is also an Illusion Art Museum in Prague, so do not confuse the two. Both are quite unique.Written October 15, 2022

My kids enjoyed this museum a lot! Only downfall is there was a long line and even thou tickets were purchased online ahead of time you still had to stand in long line with those with no tickets. Only those that purchased tickets thru their website can fast pass and skip line. Also we went on a weekend day and it was very packed. There was no crowd control.

Super fun experience for all involved! We had a great time in the sets and displays, we also have some hilarious photos to show for it!
We love this museum, however, when it’s busy it’s very difficult to get pictures or near the scenes. This is of course partly because the museum itself is very small. I would recommend going at a time when families are unlikely to be visiting!

We enjoyed our trip to this museum, despite the fact that I think there are more than one of these museums in Prague and we were possibly intending to visit the other one! Either that, or they have changed all their illusions entirely. Either way, we (2 adults and 4 11 year old boys) enjoyed our time here! There were some great illusions to get pictures of. My only negative comment would be that it's not always easy to take the pictures when other members of the public are stood in the frame - generally people need to be reminded to stand back, or there should be barriers to keep them back until it's their turn - the 'system' for taking turns needs to be looked at!

Very Instagram friendly to spend! Had a good time and would recommend for a fun hour. There’s no coat check in, so you either had to leave your cost on a hanger outside, or bring with you and leave on the floor when you’re taking photos. I think we spend 30 minutes there in total, but could have stayed longer.
Avoid coming around 4pm. The line was filled with families and the queue didn’t move. We came back around 7pm and there was hardly a queue and accessing the places to take photos was easy. Maybe a 1 minute wait maximum.
There’s a few places where you definitely need at least a third person to take a photo, so come with a group if you can. Thankfully, there were a few staff walking around helping with photos. But I think we got lucky.

This museum of illusions on Vodickova Street is not particularly big, but it is great for taking funny and original photos with family or as a couple!
We spent about 45 minutes there as a family, with our 5 year old son, he really liked it, and so did we :-)
The visit duration can be significantly longer if you really take the time to read everything on site, but overall the most interesting activities remain those in which you can photograph yourself.
In my opinion, the price is excessive for this type of place, but we must admit that the pleasure was there, both at the time and in the evening, when we viewed all the photos taken afterwards.
My advice to gourmands: when you leave the museum, on the left, upstairs, go to the 'take away' of the 'Mysak' confectionery below and taste their delicious Czech sweets to take away :-)

Bonjour,
nous sommes heureux que ce fut, comme vous l'écrivez, un grand plaisir. le prix d'entrée est exactement le même que dans d'autres musées à vocation similaire à Prague. Nous sommes heureux que vous ayez apprécié le musée.

I have nothing against the exhibition itself. I would have really enjoyed them all, given half a chance. The number of people allowed to enter at one time was disgraceful. The entire time I was there, 11am, I was elbowed, thumped, shoved, and moved around my fellow visitors. There was never anywhere to stand out of the way, and so others would move you to get their photos. They really need to look at having booking times with so many allowed per slot instead of allowing a constant and steady stream in at once.

I have had to only give this experience 3 stars as it was nearly impossible to find!! The location from Trip Advisor and Google maps is wrong, the museum has moved and not updated the location. We spent an hour in the rain trying to find it and very nearly gave up!
The experience itself was good fun and we got some great photos that will make us laugh for years to come. The staff were nice and took photos for us. I thought it was a bit busy when we first got there but actually there was enough exhibits for everyone to be taking pictures.

This assessment obviously does not belong to our museum! :-) The museum has not moved, it is still in the same place and location on Trip Advisor and Google map is correct.

The museum was really fun and amazing. The props did not seem much until you took the photo and saw the amazing outcome.
It would be nicer if the museum was bigger, so that the people would not crowd around to wait for their turn to participate, and more amazing scenes to capture one's imaginations and involvements. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would pay a bit more if ever the museum extended itself.

After reading all the positive reviews we had high expectations but unfortunately were very disappointed. It is extremely small and quickly gets very crowded with lots of people. We left after about 20 minutes.
Many illusions were very small and poorly made. If you have been to a similar museum in other countries, Prague's version is really disappointing.
Definitely fun for kids under 10 but far from worth 299 CZK/adult.

Vi förstår inte helt ditt betyg. Museet är en stor framgång med de flesta besökare och vi beklagar om du hade en annan åsikt. Att de gillar museet vittnar också om de mycket positiva utvärderingarna av majoriteten av besökarna.

Visited on 26 July in the morning. Fun, not very intuitive, but fortunately we had the competent and pleasant help of two very kind employees whose names I want to remember: Veronica and Dominica. It seemed to me that part of the museum was not accessible, however it is worth the entrance fee.

Is it interesting for a 2-year-old? I am sure it should be fun for something like 5+, not sure about a toddler though. Thanks!
