We had Karel as our guide. He was extremely informative and helpful. Could answer questions around the events he was describing in detailed perfect English. He was really good fun and the perfect guide. Would recommend this tour for anyone visiting prague as a great insight to the hidden history to the city

Our guide, Ladislaw, was really good and brought the whole tour alive through his personal memories of being a schoolboy during the Cold War. During the walk around Prague he highlighted a number of relics of the Communist era. The visit to the bunker was sobering and thought provoking, particularly so in current times. There are a huge number of artefacts in the bunker. Anyone who has an interest in this period of history will take a lot away from this tour.

Our guide Zuzana was charming, enthusiastic and knowledgable. We came on this tour knowing little about Communism in the former Czechoslovakia and found this engrossing tour to be fascinating. The personal anecdotes which Zuzana gave us added an extra layer of fascination. We didn't realize that we would be visiting a bunker with Zuzana and the rest of our group ALONE, we thought it would be a museum experience. Obviously however, we were pleasantly surprised to end up on a hill top where Zuzana unlocked the bunker for us! It was incredible to experience this without the hustle and bustle of a museum tour. We would recommend this tour to families (both with or without young children), couples and friends. 10/10 would recommend!

To listen for 3 hours how horrible the communists/Russians were after freeing Czech republic in WW2 and not treating them right, sounds like they would be much more happy under Hitler???? Building bunkers and making children learn how to prepare for possible future war in school, and focus on physical education in schools. And every word coming out of Ladislav’s mouth were pure hatred for Russian people. It was very disappointing to listen for 3 hours. Regardless of ones belief, as a tour guide speaking with such disrespect is unprofessional and simply rude.

Such an interesting tour - the guide was very knowledgeable, and funny! He brought us walking through the city, pointing out sculptures and buildings we would have otherwise missed. We went via tram to the bunker - an easy journey to a very scary prospect, thankfully it was never used. We really appreciated our freedoms afterwards!!

Lavislaw was a superb guide. To live a tour through the eyes of someone who has lived it takes it to another level. To be able to take what must have been the most difficult time in his life and have the ability to share with others shows who he is and the love he has for his country.

Our tour guide, Blanka, was knowledgeable and passionate. Having lived through some of the years under the Communists, she brought many of the stories and experiences to life. Blanka was also willing to answer all sorts of questions about the country then and now.

The nuclear bunker part of the tour was quite interesting. You don’t often get a chance to see how life would have been in one. This is not a slick museum which I appreciated as it feels as authentic as it is.

Tour through the streets of Prague detailing the history of communism.

Then a short tram ride to the underground bunker.

The bunker is situated on the outskirts of the city and you would not be able to access it without a guide.

Our guide Katrina was very knowledgeable guide with family experience of life under Communism.

We were a relatively large group. Our guide Ladislav told us about his personal life under the dictatorship, his escape and on the general history of Czechoslovakia. The bunker is impressive, there are 80+ stairs to walk down and up. I would recommend the tour and the guide to anyone visiting Prague who has an interest in 20th century history.
