- Jacqueline B0 contributionsLovely Day - quite a bit of walking but manageablePicked up on time, our tour guide/driver was lovely & knowledgeable. Comfy VW van for journey. Scenery was incredible - had a wondeful day with fantastic views of the countryside.Written November 10, 2024
- richardmI3370ZZ0 contributionsA great day trip if you enjoy history. We had a few days in Prague and decided to enjoy a day trip to Terezin and the Lidice Village. Our guide Zuzana and her driver picked us up from our hotel to start the tour. Zuzana was very knowledgeable about all the events that took place in these locations. We love history and the events that took place at these sites should not be forgotten. Zuzana did her best to help us see as much as possible in the time we had available. We also had a tour of the Mala Pevnost. What a large prison complex. It was so enjoyable to connect with Zuzana, her grandmother had survived Auchwitz concentration camp. It made the whole experience so very personal and one to remember. I can't thank Zuzana enough for helping us see these sites and being such a wonderful person. The PragueWalkers is such a great way to see the sites in such a very wonderful way with people who are special.Written October 5, 2024
- 195deepthis0 contributionsAmazing ExperienceI had an amazing day trip from Prague to Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland with a small group, led by our fantastic guide, Honza. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate, sharing interesting insights about the region throughout the day. The highlights were hiking to the breathtaking Pravčická Gate and visiting the Bastei Bridge in Saxon Switzerland, both offering incredible views. Honza made sure we had a comfortable pace and plenty of time to take it all in. The small group setting made the experience feel personal and relaxed, like an adventure with friends. Highly recommend this tour for nature lovers and anyone looking for a well-organized, intimate trip!Written September 30, 2024
- Samanthakyla0 contributionsFun adventure well worth itTrips was absolutely fantastic! Sadly we couldn't do the full trip due to horrific weather a few days prior but they have a plan B that isn't much different and still soooo much fun! Our guide were also so fun anf got involved and all around we had the best time ever. Huge thank you to Ondrej our guide.Written September 20, 2024

Also we got lucky with a guide and Ondrej was a good comapany. - Cathy K0 contributionsFantastic trip! This trip is amazing. Our guide, Vojta, had a lot of interesting information to share which added to the enjoyment. The scenery is beautiful! I would rate the hike as strenuous for the average person, however if you like to walk, don’t mind uphill treks, and love beautiful scenery this is a fantastic trip! The luncheon at the local restaurant was delicious and provided a welcome break at the perfect time in the day. Vojta kept us on schedule as there was a lot to pack in to a busy day of beautiful vistas and hiking. Overall a great day!Written July 5, 2024
- rabeal20140 contributionsDon't miss this tour with Vojta !It was really a Nice day, well organised and beautiful landscapes, the guide Vojta was so funny, professional and giving us a lot of interesting informations on the history and on the places, the plus was when he played the guitare for our group, I will recommand this day tour without hesitation. Super fun day and amazing guide.Written June 17, 2024
- Gideon2NY0 contributionsNot To Be MissedThis tour is a total winner. A great day trip from Prague. Three stops, Bohemian Switzerland National Park, with its amazing rock formations, a forest that has been burned out, (I know sounds strange, but interesting), and hike down to an amazing gorge where a comical park guide takes you on a boat ride. All of it is spectacular. I had a bit of a cold so the hiking was at times a challenge for me, but they could not have been more patient. Lunch at a local restaurant was enjoyable, making it a wonderful day. A full day, great value, accommodating and knowledgeable tour guide. Just book it and enjoy!Written May 9, 2024
- Neenlovestotravel0 contributionsStunning sceneryWhat an amazing day. Great communication from Filip about where to meet and time of pick up. 2hr drive to get into Germany. Van was comfortable, 7 on our trip. Plenty of toilet stop opportunities. Honza was great at answering any questions, was very knowledgeable about the various rock formations and history. Good driver on the major highways but also negotiating Prague peak traffic. The views at Bastei bridge were stunning, Honza was good at taking our photos too, to get the best shots. The hike to pravcicka gate is all up hill and with steps, about 45 min one way. Not for those really unfit. The boat ride in Edmund gorge is very tranquil, but again very steep to get down and over 200 steps to go down and return up. Lunch in Mezna was lovely, tradional meal. Soup and then a main. Thankyou for a fabulous day. Also was a plus, wet and cold in Prague, but was clear and fine at the National Parks. Only got drizzle again, when we returned to Prague.Written May 7, 2024

- deborahbG888WH0 contributionsThis Tour is a Must!Terrific day trip to three parks. I was skeptical about hiking thru the park that had suffered an extensive forest fire, however, the sun glistening on the charred trees had a beauty of its own. Each of the parks is stunning in its own way. At our first stop, we arrived as the park was opening, and virtually had the place to ourselves, what a nice break after the crowds of Prague! Parts of the walks are rigorous, but you can go at your own pace. I'm over 70 and had no problem. My sister was suffering from a wicked head cold and sore throat, but she still managed to finish 2 of the hikes and over half of the third going at her own pace. The tour guide was great, fluent in English, very informative, and very friendly. Equally important he was a good driver! We were picked up at our hotel at the appointed time and dropped off there at the end of the tour. The provided lunch was also outstanding. This trip was well worth the price. Don't miss it!Written April 12, 2024

We didn’t get an opportunity to go inside the castle. It was not mentioned anywhere in the description of this tour. 5 hours of driving there and back to see the garden, walk around the castle and see couple of shops on the way back to the bus. Lunch was not included, but we all were forced to go to a particular restaurant and buy a lunch there if we wanted to eat (food was not good). We asked for an opportunity to pick a restaurant or have some time alone for shopping, but it was not allowed. The guid guy was good, that’s why 2 stars

I am not sure if you did my tour as I dont drive a bus. But maybe you did. So in points.
1. No, we do not see castle interiors. You need one more day to do it. How it would be possible to drive all the way down there, walk through the town, the garden and have a 3 hours long tour in the castle, that must be booked in advance anyway? And going back to Prague? How do you want to make it in one day? It is not possible. Description of my tour does not promise tour inside the castle. It mentions castle courtyards. Which we have seen.
2. Shopping. I never let my tourists to walk on their own. You booked my tour to let me show you everything in Cesky Krumlov. If you wanted to eat on your own and walk through the town on your own, why did you book my tour at all? I don't understand this.
3. Lunch is not included. Description of the tour mentions that clearly so you could not be surprised. I am taking people to a medieval restaurant by the river right under the castle. Most of my tourists really love this place and they mention it in their reviews. You do not need to eat there if you are not hungry. But again. You booked my tour that has some schedule and plan that I have made. If you wanted to do everything on your own in Cesky Krumlov, why did you book my tour?

This was an interesting tour. Our journey was a little long due to road closures and traffic delays, but the mini van was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. There is a comfort break both ways. The exterior of the castle was interesting, but if you want to see inside you have to book that yourself in advance, which may be difficult as tours in English are not frequent and get booked up. Our guide Filip provided us with a thorough and very interesting historical background to the castle and to the Czech republic. After a pleasant lunch we had a couple of hours to go around the small town Filip did say that basically every 'house' is now either a shop/restaurant or hotel. So personally I felt it didn't have the charm I was expecting, and I could have gone around it in under 1 hour.

Hi. You are good example of diversity of expectations or opinions of my tourists. The last review before you just demanded more time in the old town than the time that was given. So we will probably never really satisfy everyone. But thank you for your review of my part of the tour. Filip

The trip was very poorly arranged. First of, the driver was rude. We were in the lobby before the arranged time, since the driver was in a very casual touristy outfit, we didn’t recognize him at the first place. Then 5mins after our meet time, we finally connected him with the driver and he asked us to apologize! What made it funny was that when he went to the second place to pick up another family, he went to the wrong place and let us wait in the car without an explanation.
He was not professional and completely ignore our family during the trip.
When we booked the trip, it said private up to 8 persons. But by the time we got the CK, there was another group waiting to join and the group was ended up more than 15 people.
Lastly, he didn’t provide much helpful information during the trip. We really don’t understand why he got so many good reviews and will absolutely not recommend it to anyone, especially family with kids.

I travelled to Germany and Czech Republic with my 16 year old son this summer right after the travel restrictions were lifted, and I would recommend this tour, and Filip as a tour guide to absolutely everyone who is looking for a great side trip from Prague! Heck, I'd hire Filip to take me on a tour to the grocery store if I could. The trip itself was incredible - Cesky Krumlov was like stepping into a fairy tale. The *only* additional thing I would have liked was maybe 30 minutes of "free time" to be able to browse the many gift shops, but timing was tight. Filip was a gem, so knowledgeable and friendly, it was like hanging out with a great friend all day. Highly recommend!

The town was beautiful and our guide (Philip) was excellent. The ride was long and we were in the back row of a 3 row Mercedes van. It was not uncomfortable but we are small people.
If you have more than 3 days in Prague it is well worth it to get out of the city and see some of the surrounding countryside. Weather can be a factor so plan ahead. The Prague forecast may not apply to Cesky Krumlov.
I recommend this tour.

This is a great addition to any Prague itinerary! Cesky Krumlov is about two hours from the city but the car is air-conditioned and includes USB ports to charge your phone which I appreciated. Filip was a great guide -- adept at herding cats when needed :) but also fielding any and every question the group had. He clearly took into account every detail, including making sure we stopped at the best points for pictures and also nudging us so that we were able to avoid larger groups encroaching on said points by getting there earlier.

We had a great day with Filip in a small group tour of Cesky Krumlov, Boxing Day 2022. It's a beautiful, picturesque town and definitely a must see if you have the time. Filip was excellent. Sharing his historical knowledge, telling many stories and answering our all questions as we wandered around. We were very lucky to see the beautiful Christmas market still set up, even though it was the day after and to enjoy a very local dish at the lovely restaurant we went to for lunch. We highly recommend Fililp's tour.

The driver was not a guide in any sense and hardly provided any useful information. A guide was provided for the visit to the castle who was reasonably apt for this specific purpose but who provided more information about the restaurant he suggested for lunch than about the city attractions, museums etc. - of which he had almost nothing to say. Finally 2h in the city including the time needed for lunch was too little - 3h would be more adequate.

Filip is very awesome! He is not just present us with facts and history, but also what he think about that theory. He is also very accommodating, my mom asked a lot of random question and he answer it. And he also took us to spots that are not many prople there.

When you say the “interiors” of the Castle are not included is it because they are not open in March or just not open to the public ever?
Also, is the first portion, the 5 hours include travel time? If so, what is travel time and what is time spent in town?
What time do we get back to Prague?
Sherri

It was about 2 hours travel each way. We spent about 5 hours in town including a lovely lunch (not included). The interior or the castle building was not included in the price and we did not choose to go inside due to time. We walked all through the courtyards and walkways of the castle. We were the only two on the tour.

Hi, can I check if entry/admission to Cesky Krumlov Castle is included? In addition, will lunch be included in the town in winter?
Written December 2, 2019
Lunch is not included and while you do walk through the castle courtyard you do not actually gain entrance to the interior rooms. The restaurant that he generally recommends does not accept credit cards.

Can I just continue staying at Cesky Krumlov and not take the transportation back to Prague?
Written November 6, 2019
Will the drive to Cesky Krumlow pass through Kraselov? My great-grandfather was from Kraselov. It would be shame to be so close and not stop.
Written October 1, 2019
I saw your question soon as it was posted but as I don't know the answer I did not reply. I don't remember what cities we went nearby, as someone said they were major highways, but I see in Google Maps that if Filip goes via route 4 through PĂsek it would requiere a 20 km (12 mile) detour. You will have toi ask Filip about that. I see another route from Prague to CK which semms shorter but passes further away from Kraselov.
