- ThomasA5950 contributionsHad more fun!!!I probably wouldn’t have paid to get in, but this was part of the Prague CoolPass so we went inside. It was much better than we expected and if you let your inhibitions down you can have some fun. We posed with many steelworks and had a good time. We were there probably an hour and took a few dozen pictures.Written November 26, 2024
- troopytroopy0 contributionsSteel’y FunYou will enjoy every exponent at this museum. You will spend at least 1 hour, dont forget to ask for family priced ticket. You can touch and play with all the steel exponents. Kids will enjoyWritten November 9, 2024
- SaltyDog790 contributionsGreat spot for families where climbing on the sculptures is encouragedAbsolutely fabulous for kids. The man on the desk encouraged the kids to climb on and explore the sculptures which are really impressive. You can hold the blasters from the Star Wars figures. There’s a building station on the top floor at the end of you need a place to sit and relax for a bit with kids. They really do need to replace the wheels though on the metal building supplies as all the tightening screws were u usable.Written October 25, 2024
- KoenV16350 contributionsmetal scrap transformed into true pieces of artVery cool and original museum, very nice to see something different... A museum full of metal scrap transformed into true pieces of art. You can pose by the many statues from your favourite movies The museum has 2 floors and also have some cars and motorcycles which you can actually sit in. Upstairs is a small children's corner For us it was very pleasant to walk around and see al these figures and sculptures and we spent about 1h in the museum I think this is very fun to visit with kids.Written September 16, 2024
- jackiefb450 contributionsGet up close to film monsters and sit in a Ferrari! What an amazing and fun experience! My son and I came across this quite by chance, but what a find. There's a huge range of models - from Chewbacca to Pinocchio, from Elvis to Alien, from a Ferrari to Winnie the Pooh. An added bonus is that some of them are interactive - you can sit on them, open doors, swing chains, hold weapons. A really great place to visit for any age!Written September 3, 2024

Near the bottom of Wenceslas Square the gallery is popular with families, car lover's and film fans. All the figures are made from 2nd hand scrap metal and the artistry is at another level, a great place. 300 czk for one adult and family packages and other discounts are available.

This place is great to take your kids but also for adults! The exhibits range from cars to bikes to minions, Star Wars and many more and are fab and wonderfully made - it also makes a change that you’re encouraged to touch and take photos and you can even sit in the cars and on the motor bikes. It’s good value at 299 Cz per adult and there is a cafe for drinks and snacks and toilets. There’s also a cloak room for bags / coats etc which is handy to avoid carrying stuff around. Well worth the trip and less boring than many galleries I’ve visited!

Gallery of Steel Figures is a great place for children of any age! I say this because any grown person can feel here and behave like children: not only you are allowed to touch the museum's exhibits, but also you can interact with them for fun and funny photos.
The Museum is located pretty close to the Můstek subway station. Admission hours are 10am to 10 pm for 299 Czech koruna (local currency), normal price.
The exhibits, steel sculptures, are made of pieces from recycling and scrap metal.
The sculptures are inspired by history and legends, or movies, comics and cartoon characters, or the automotive world - cars and motorcycles, many of them in the scale of 1: 1.
Inside there is a gift shop from where you can buy souvenirs and a nice cafeteria where you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea while keep an eye on your children.

The concept is rather interning and the workmanship is incredible. We spent about 20 minutes here looking around the sculptures, all of which depict something we'll known, be it a film character, famous car or famous person.
It was smaller than anticipated, which made the entrance price seem a little high, coupled with the fact that I've seen Galleries of Steel Figures in other countries makes me think its a somewhat commercialised idea, this is certainly not an exhibition of an artists work but is art all the same.

The Gallery of Steel Figures is a great experience. Cars, Figures from Disney, DC, Marvel, for e.g. all made of steel. The creator used scrap metal to create all the great figures.
You are allowed to sit in the cars, pose with your favorite figures - take picture. It is a great experience of modern art. We accidentally walked into the gallery caused by rain - but we definitely did not regret it - we enjoyed about 3 hours inside the gallery.

the figures them selves were outstanding, some extremely better than others. apparently there is a couple of these steel figure galleries in the city, perhaps you can visit them all on one ticket i didnt ask, it says they have 700 figures maybe its spread across all the other sites, it would be nice if they all had different things and you could do so it would make the admission price worth it, overall i would recommend. the gift shop was very good i purchased a couple of things

Today I got a list of Specialty Museums in Prague and started with the Gallery of Steel Figures. This was surprisingly very entertaining. It is a whole gallery a figures made of 100% recycled scrap metal. The detail work was amazing. Unlike most art galleries, children (of all ages) were encouraged to touch, climb on and take pictures with the art. Loved it!

The gallery was a little smaller than expected, but the figures inside made up for it. They're beautifully intricate, and unlike most galleries and museums, you are more than welcome to touch the sculptures. Many of the car sculptures were interactive, with doors that open, steering wheels that turn, and gear sticks that could be moved around. Lots of photo opportunities, and a fun way to spend an hour in the city.

Stumbled on this by accident and so glad I went in. Admission was cheap enough and what a marvellous exhibition. I was really impressed by what this artist could do with scrap metal. I had to have a sit down on the iron throne saying as Daenerys never did. Would recommend. Also has an upstairs cafe for a hot drink and snack

A brilliant concept, brilliantly executed. Perfect to spend an hour or two alone or with family/friends. You can even touch the exhibits, or (in some cases) sit inside them. The gift shop also has some very nice items.
