We were lucky enough to pick this walking tour during our recent trip to Prague. The idea of the operator donating their proceeds to charity, and at the same time providing a good service, was appealing.
It turned out to be a small group for our tour; in fact, only my wife and me. In other words, practically a private tour. John Paul, the guide and founder of the little company, didn't complain though. Before the tour he took the time to ask about our interests, so that he could tailor the tour accordingly, and focus on what we would find interesting, rather than just listing a bunch of facts.
JP is very knowledgeable about the city, and shows a genuine interest in the history of the city and the country. As we didn't know much about the city ourselves, his stories gave us a great overview.
The pace was very pleasant, and JP took his time to explain what we were looking at, tell narratives about important characters, and at no time did he show any signs of being stressed. He also was very patient in answering (possibly stupid) questions.
We learned a lot on our tour, not only about the city and the country, but also about the guide himself. Sometimes learning the story of a local is just as interesting and fascinating. It definitely gave it a personal touch that would be lacking in a larger group.
We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is considering a guided walking tour of Prague. Despite the crazy times of this year, you will never get a better opportunity to enjoy a tour in a small group by a great guide and at a very reasonable price!

I was fortunate to be on this tour with only 2 other travellers. I felt that it was more of a conversation than a tour. Ondra provided a lot of information and was eager to answer questions about the city's history and also general information about Czech and what it is like to live there. He took us through back alleys and showed us more than just the tourist hot spots. Our midway stop for a drink was in a hidden gem of a courtyard ordinary people would miss. I highly recommend this experience!

John Paul was great - so informative, so excited to share information, and so easy to hear! It might seem silly, but even if you have a knowledgeable guide, if you can’t hear him/her, you’re still lost. John Paul was so happy to answer questions, and he was also so conscious of the cold weather, always taking our group’s needs into account by making us feel more comfortable (moving the group inside, taking a wonderful coffee break, etc.) My wife & I continued to discuss facts we learned from John Paul throughout the rest of our trip.

John Paul has the unique skill of commanding a large tour group while bringing Prague's history to life. My partner and I did this tour on our first day in Prague, and I felt like it gave us more insight into the city than we gained the rest of our stay in Prague. The fact that this tour is for a great cause is another reason to book it. Seriously, one of the best city tours I have done. Dêkuji, John Paul!

Absolutely amazing tour, we couldn’t have done it on our own. Jean Paul has so much knowledge and his storytelling makes it very interesting. Our children loved it too.
Definitely recommend it. Don’t look at any other guided tour, you have the best one here.

I went on the Prague old town tour with John Paul today and it was a great overview of Prague. John is very passionate and knowledgeable about Prague history and gave a very personalized, down to earth introduction of the city. Highly recommended.

John Paul was a fantastic host. Sharing his personal story made the tour even more special. We loved his Czech jokes. This was one of the best city tours we ever attended - with a great (charity) cause. We learned a great deal about the history of Prague and sprinted through hundreds of years in around 3.5 hours. Highly recommend this tour.

This was my first solo trip and what a way to kick it off. If you want to get a good but speedy understanding of Czech history while also checking out the landmarks and city on foot, this is a great tour. John is knowledgeable, likeable and his storytelling of the city and it’s history is easy to follow. The tour left me feeling like I understood the culture and I found myself really appreciating the architecture more than I would have done had I just wandered off on my own so it definitely delivered. Would recommend 100%. Thanks for an enjoyable experience John!

This tour was one of the best city tours I've ever done. You don't just leave with an amazing understanding of the city, you leave understanding nearly 2000 years of czech history. This is my 3rd trip to Prague, and I decided to book this tour so that my parents could enjoy it. I'm glad I came along because it's worth every penny. John Paul's knowledge, paired with his enthusiasm and passion really make for an unforgettable experience. You must do this tour, because it will open up the city to you in more ways than you can imagine.

So was hanging around the Square drinking stuff and after hearing John Paul speaking for couple minutes I felt compelled to gatecrash and invite myself on the tour (apologies lovely American and Filipino people I was chatting with for allowing me join you)

So John Paul really understands Prague and takes pride in his knowledge and he was kind enough in the first place to let me join tour.

He delivers his tour Professionally and with understanding, really enjoyed the mix of Folklore, History and Humor, top marks. Come see us on the Celtic Isles anytime JP.
