About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Cameron_James_880 contributionsPerfect for Couples, Families or small groupsPERFECT!!! Patrik was the perfect host, and passionate about his city. he was engaging and provided enough tour information while also giving us space to just enjoy the ride. this private tour was great value for money, highly personalised and it was nice to not be on a big "tourist" boat where there is nothing special about the experience. you will not regret booking this experience. Patrik ensured we had a wonderful night to remember in PragueWritten September 14, 2024
- Woodcliffmom0 contributionsIntro to PragueIvana took us all over old town and lesser town. There was a lot of walking but we covered many places and enjoyed a great day w her. There are many beautiful churches and historical buildings in Prague. She gave us a lot of information on the 1000 yr hx of Prague up to the present. Wear comfortable shoes and she will take you through a whirlwind hx of the beautiful city and nation .Written September 10, 2024
- Woodcliffmom0 contributionsBeautiful and macabreWe really enjoyed this trip to Kutna Hora. It is about 1 hour away from Prague. It is a beautiful working town. Was once an important silver mining town. Many beautiful churches. The Ossuary is extraordinary. We cannot take pictures out of respect for the dead but this is not a place to be missed. Because of so many dead bodies over the centuries, they decided to use these bones to make it into an impressive display of art. A macabre yet beautiful place. Our guide Peter was fabulous. The car was very comfortable and he taught us so many things about this area, and history of Czech Republic.Written September 10, 2024
- 367marycatherined0 contributions100% recommend this tour!We knew our day to and from Auschwitz would be a long and emotionally difficult one but Petr, our driver, made everything go so smoothly. He was there right on time at 4 a.m. to pick us up (actually a little early) and he was great to talk to about the Czech Republic and its history as well as Auschwitz. He made sure we were very well-informed about what the tour would entail; the rules at Auschwitz do not allow Petr himself to do the tour but he met us at the halfway point of the tour to make sure we got on the right bus to get to the 2nd part and he was right there at the end of the tour to get us back to his car. He provides multiple stops each way for food/bathroom breaks and his car was super-clean and comfortable. All of our communications with Lucy Tours prior to the day were excellent. She immediately responded to my questions and had our Auschwitz passes booked well in advance. I can't recommend Petr or this tour highly enough! If you're in Prague, I would look into any tours provided by Lucy Tours in the hopes that you would get him as your guide. Thank you for your time and knowledge, Petr!Written September 5, 2024
- 116rodneyp0 contributionsWeekend GetawayLucy Tours and Thomas our guide were great. Before the tour, we sent an email and discussed our timeline and interests. Thomas was able to adjust the plans to maximize our short time in Prague. We got to see all of the highlights that most tourists hit, but he also made sure that we got to hit a few hidden spots as well. We never would have though to look up to see the flying statues or the bug statue under the awning of the dancing house. My wife really like the added stop at the Church of Baby Jesus, and Thomas even helped us get a blessing from the local priest. Will certainly ask for him again if we return to Prague.Written September 4, 2024
- 116rodneyp0 contributionsLong WeekendThe tour was great, and was a nice way to escape the crowds of Prague for a day. Our tour guide Peter was exceptional. Very professional - - picked us up on time, modified trip to accomodate our schedules and desires, and was extremely knowledgeable of the history and locations. Will surely use Lucy tours again if we return to Prague.Written September 4, 2024
- TCooksey0 contributionsPerfect start to our tripThis was the best way to start our trip in Prague! Patrick was so engaging and informative. It was beautiful on the water, loved the champagne too! We also did a walking tour the next day, but this was truly our highlight.Written September 1, 2024
- Chris G0 contributionsGreat experience with Petr!We had an exceptional experience with Petr on our private tour of Auschwitz. The 4-hour drive was incredibly relaxing, thanks to his excellent driving and calming presence. Petr provided us with comprehensive background and history, sharing insights that enriched our visit while also giving us time to rest and reflect. He was incredibly attentive to our needs throughout the day, ensuring we were comfortable and well-cared for. As for the tour itself, Petr could not provide the tour as they have dedicated staff to do that. He made sure we were part of the right group etc...Visiting Auschwitz was an experience that I knew would be emotionally challenging, but it was also an important journey that we felt compelled to undertake. The tour was incredibly well-organized, providing a respectful and educational environment to learn about one of the darkest chapters in human history. From the moment we arrived, the somber atmosphere was palpable. Our guide was knowledgeable and compassionate, carefully explaining the historical context while also conveying the deep human suffering that occurred here. Walking through the barracks, gas chambers, and crematoria was a harrowing experience. Seeing the remnants of personal belongings, such as suitcases, shoes, and eyeglasses, was particularly heart-wrenching. It was difficult to process the sheer scale of the atrocities committed, but the tour helped to provide a deeper understanding of the magnitude of the Holocaust.Despite the difficulty of the experience, we are grateful for the opportunity to have visited Auschwitz. It is a place that forces you to confront the worst of humanity, but also to remember the resilience of those who suffered. The tour serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of remembering history so that we can strive to ensure that such horrors are never repeated. On the way back, Petr balanced great conversation with giving my wife and me the time to relax and unwind. The stops at Orlen were a nice touch, especially because of the delicious hot dogs! We couldn’t have asked for a better guide for such an important and moving experience. Highly recommended! Hope to give Petr a ride in the E46 one day 😀Written August 27, 2024
- Nomad2617870 contributionsfantastic tourthis was a fantastic walking tour of the Jewish Quarter. The guide had in depth knowledge of the area and was helpful not only on the subject of the tour but also on other cultural issues related to Prague. I would recommend men wear a hat or bring a kippah.Written August 22, 2024

- JoanneA16750 contributionsFabulous informative tourMatej was fantastic. We saw so much that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. He is very knowledgeable and very easy to interact with. We would thoroughly recommend taking this tour if you get the chance to.Written August 16, 2024
- gmegaffi0 contributionsHappy I wentMy guide was amazing and was incredibly well-read on anything I asked him about the tour and the area. I visited in August and it is an amazing city with a fascinating history, but at the end I felt some FOMO for not seeing the city of Kutna Hora in December around Christmas. You can no longer take pictures in the Skull Sanctuary, so just be prepared to buy a postcard from the gift shop if you want to show others what you saw.Written August 7, 2024
- 511curtc0 contributionsGreat walking tourThis walking tour was a great introduction to the city. We saw many of the highlights of the center city area, which gave us a good feel for the city and helped us decide where we wanted to spend more time. Our guide Matej was friendly and very knowledgeable.Written August 5, 2024

We were so pleased to have Lenka as our guide on our private excursion to Nuremburg, Germany. Given the relatively long distance to Nuremburg (3 hours each way) it was truly a pleasure to ride in style with Lenka, who is both very kind and extremely intelligent. On the ride to Nuremburg and back we spoke about everything from the EU parliamentary election, to medieval history, to agricultural exports, to old films. I truly feel blessed to have Lenka as our guide, her wealth of knowledge is outstanding, and she was in tune to the needs of my elderly father who has trouble walking.
-Our visit to Nuremburg started at the Documentation Center, located in the former Nazi party rally grounds within a massive coliseum constructed by Hitler. Tickets were included, and, interestingly, the museum did not focus on the Holocaust, but rather on Hitler's rise to power and how he truly captivated the minds of the German people. Both interesting and frightening to see a grandstand from which Hitler spoke, and where Triumph of the Will was filmed (the rally grounds are massive, mostly unfinished or demolished with some segments remaining, like the museum). After this we visited the Nuremburg Trial museum located a bit closer to the city. Learned in-depth about the trial process, roles of various nations, and outcomes for the detained Germans.
-After this we took a break from Nuremburg's stark past, and enjoyed a walk through the Old Town, which looks stunning with its many medieval walls and turrets. We visited beautiful gothic churches, enjoyed Nuremburg's many markets and sausage stands, and got to view the gorgeous castle.
-Ultimately, we had a wonderful day, and I cannot stress enough how Lenka made this possible. Many thanks!

Hi Andrew, thank you very much for the review. I also had a great time with you and your father. Talking to you during the journey made the driving really enjoyable and I am happy that you also had a great time in the city. All the best to you and your father. Lenka

Would it be possible to this tour and be dropped off in Bamberg at our hotel at the end of the tour rather than return to Prague?
