I did two tours: a free walking one and Prague Castle. Katerina, our guide, was just great: informative, emotional, with great humor. Handled fairly large multi-national groups very well - made sure noone got lost, kept everyone involved, shared her love to the city.

Overall, that was a fantastic introduction to the city for me. Thanks for that.

Hands down, the best walking tour I’ve done. We visited the old city, stopped for a beer and all learned a lot. Our guide was a local called Katerina who was full of insight and passion about the history of the city and its people. She was a brilliant story teller and I learned so much from her. The tour itself is free, so you should definitely tip the guides. It was so good I signed up to go straight on another walking tour of the castle that afternoon. Really great way to spend the day. The whole tour takes about 2.5 hours and starts in the old town square.

We enjoyed our tour with Karel very much. He was very entertaining and informative and the tour included several really interesting stops. The only actual entry in Prague Castle is into part of St. Vitus, but that was fine with us. You also should know that you will still have to queue for the security line. We were there on a vey cold day so that kept it from being a 5 star experience because the tour was primarily outside.

Ian (Ian Nacimiento) was our guider for the Free Walking Tours (English) in the morning and the castle tour in the afternoon. Even though he is originally from Brazil, he knows the dates and years along with the names of the people in the history. His guidance was very comprehensive, efficient and very informative about the detailed history of Prague. He was very friendly, with clear English and happy to answer any questions including some places to have dine. I would recommend to anyone.

So I had Brandon, and he was a fantastic tour guide. Entertaining and well informed. Always made a point of talking to each member of the group and learning a little about them. The sites along the tour were awesome. I'd definitely recommend it.

We did the Free Prague Walking tour with Andrea. She was fantastic. We started in the Old Town Square and ended in the Jewish Quarter. She was very informative and a great story teller. I would highly recommend using Sandeman. Please be generous with your tips

Nicolo was great. Informative but keeps it interesting with humor. He also gives you a map that’s very useful for getting around Prague with do’s/don’t say, good places to eat and visit (along with their prices), etc. Would highly recommend!

If you see a brown haired, blue eyed, British (maybe American?) girl - just walk away. Sadly I did not have a chance to catch her name, but I see similar rreviews below.

It was my last day in Prague (Feb 10th). I had a free day before my evening flight (was there for a medical conference) and I thought I’ll catch the 10am castle tour as it was the earliest I could find. This is a paid tour (11 euros) which I thought was fine as I took many walking tours in different European cities with Sandeman’s in the past. They were all free walking tours and I never tipped below 10 euros anyway.

I showed up at 5 minutes to 10:00. I was the only one. I soon found out why...

I only had 10.75 euros and 200 czk... While trying to break the 200 to pay for the additional 25 cent I was missing... (and trying to figure out the rates between EUR/CZK/USD/ILS) the guide described above was condescending and truly offensive(to use mild words...), she was rude and even ended up saying something like: “look lady, I’m taking you on this tour, I wouldn’t SCAM you...” in response to me still trying to convert currencies in my head...
It was embarrassing.
And offending.

As soon as I realized she was the guide and I was to spend the next 2.5-3h with her, I asked for my money back and left. I surprised even myself...

I joined a free walking tour to the castle 1h later (11am) with the guys with the light blue umbrellas. It was great and funny, a lot of people showed up and they divided us to 2 groups. Obviously I ended up tipping the 10 eur + 200 czk to someone who actually deserved it.

To sum it up - don’t go to the their prepaid castle tour, they are just after your money or at least try to avoid this specific guide.

Hello OnTheEdgeOfEarth, Thank you for sharing your experience with us and for joining several tours across the network. We love to hear back from engaged travellers such as yourself, as your feedback helps us to continue making improvements and reaching our very high standards. Whilst we were very pleased to hear that you’ve enjoyed our tours in the past, we were very concerned to hear about your experience in Prague. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and friendly, personable guides, so it is extremely surprising to hear that your guide made you feel uncomfortable. I assure you that none of our staff, nor the independent guides we work with would ever make comments or gestures with the intention of offender our guests. Nonetheless, I am sincerely sorry for any offense caused by the guide and would like to share your feedback with her in order to ensure that no such situation may occur in the future. You may have seen that I’ve messaged you privately in order to apologise more personally and to request further details about your experience in Prague. For instance, it would be of great use for us to know the name of your guide, so we may share your feedback with her and give her the opportunity to perfect her service. Whilst I await your reply, I have shared your review with the operations team, so they can begin to investigate this matter. Thank you once again for sharing your thoughts with us, we hope to see you again soon on one of our other tours, so we may demonstrate that this particular tour does not reflect our usual standard of service. Kind regards, Roberto

Spent a pleasant 3 hours walking through beautiful Prague with our guide Nicolo. He was very knowledgeable and he kept us engaged with his witty and informative delivery. He also provided us with many valuable tips that we will definitely use on our trip. His dinner recommendation was out of this world! It also didn't hurt that he was easy on the eyes! LOL!!
