      Walking tour of Prague Castle
Four of us did the walking tour of Prague Castle and buildings with a local guide Pavel. We had three German natives and one English so we chose the English language tour. We did the City tour the previous day with Lyle and we were so impressed we decided to do the Castle tour the next day. Pavel spoke slowly and clearly and is a really engaging character with an in depth knowledge of Prague and the Czech culture and people. We really like the Sandeman tours having used them in Berlin and Munich previously. We would all recommend the City tour and the Castle tour and hopefully you’ll be lucky to get Lyle and Pavel as we were.

      Brandon was a great guide!
Prague Castle Walking Tour - our guide was Brandon who was super friendly and welcoming. The walking tour took in several of the sights in Prague including the Charles Bridge, a trip on a tram and Prague Castle. The historical information given about the sights was interesting and relevant with some unusual and funny facts too! I would definitely recommend.

      Brandon's prague
Signed up for a walking tour from the old town square. Our tour leader was Brandon, he was welcoming, informative , inclusive and a great all round tour guide. We were a small group, but despite the rain Brandon bought prague to life with info on its history, places to visit and great insights into this fascinating city!! Thank you Brandon 😊

      Great Tours
We did two Sandeman's tours while in Prague and thought they were both fantastic. There is model is 100% tip based so you give what you thought the tour was worth. We enjoy doing tours in different cities and the two tours we did in Prague did not disappoint. Both of our guides were engaging and interesting. We will definitely do another Sandeman Tour in the future.

      Absolutely wonderful
Zina was our tour guide for a three hour walking tour of Prague. She was excellent, clearly loves what she does. She has a great depth of knowledge, shared fascinating stories of her own life growing up in the Soviet controlled Czech Republic as well as many other interesting historical stories and legends. The tour was pretty extensive and she has a wonderful site that helps with so many other points of interest. Prague is an amazing place and we will return.

      Disappointing general tour of Prague
I've taken Sandeman's tours before and normally they are excellent but this one was disappointing. Our guide (Ileana) was disorganized and unenthusiastic. We didn't get a sense of the overarching history of Prague, it felt more like a random series of facts that were distributed as we walked. Would not reccommend.

Wonderful context of the fascinating history of Prague
Wonderful walking tour of the old and new town of Prague with our passionate guide Andrea. I so much prefer walking tours to Hop On buses as one really learns about the city and you are given real historical context.

We had a Private tour with Pavel, who was an excellent guide. We really enjoyed the 3 hours with him and he also gave good advice on what to do after the tour. Very recommendable.

Tour of castle and old town
When I go to a new city I would recommend doing a walk tour. I did one in the old town and one in the castle. They are around 2 and a half hours each so I it’s usually best to do to the tours on different days (if you have the time). I found that the tour of the castle was better than the old town and it wasn’t as busy the time we went as well which helped. Lyle and Via were our town guides on these tours and I found that their enthusiasm for what they were speaking about really helped the tours also.

Walking Tour of Prague with a twist!
If anyone wants to learn more about the history of Prague and its amazing architecture you must book one of the walking tours. Our guide ( a lady called Katherine who originates from Newcastle, Australia but has lived with her Czech husband in Prague for 16 years ) was very knowledgeable and not only gave us an insight into the history of Prague, its famous people and buildings but also the folklore. She made the whole walking trip educational and fun. I would highly recommend this company and in particular Katherine as your guide.

      Ditch the free tour!
Have taken sandeman tours in other cities and have loved them. This was the 2.5 hr tour of Prague castle,,, but we were taken to the castle for less than an hr. The first 1.5 hr was spent talking about things for tourists to do, o logical rambling, personal likes and dislikes etc! And refreshment break… all before we reached the castle. Even there, no historical facts were shared, no insights except for how’d smart the guard uniforms were as they were made by a designer. We got more info from trip advisor forum than we did from her! Don’t waste ur time with this if u are a history amd architecture buff.. if u are kids who have come to Prague to party.. this might be more up ur alley!

Tickets purchased online - easy to find meeting area outside Prague Station main ticket office (our guide carrying a large red umbrella helped lol.)
Brandon, our guide, was knowledgeable, informative, and fun.
His organisation of the trip made timings perfect to spend at each location. The train journey was a preferred method for me to take in the scenery and relax back. The Gothic Church in Sedlec looks pretty ordinary from the outside - but holds a story about a blind monk, and a story of how it was renovated into the 'Bone Church' it is today.
It was captivating macarbe, and artful. Followed by a bus journey up to Santa Barbara Cathedral with stunning architecture and amazing views, a chance to go inside to see the amazing stain glass windows.
A cheeky hot wine to warm our hands from the local wine hut, then a short walk from the cathedral to go for a dinner in a traditional Czech restaurant ( dinner and beer added cost but delicious and warming)
I loved this tour ❤️ arriving back in Prague by 4pm -
Thanks Brandon for a fab 👌 day

Took this tour today was great fun, our tour guide Brandon is a real good laugh and makes the day so easy. You do have to go on a couple trains to get there which is quicker than car for traffic but it does get warm on the train so be aware.

The trip itself is great Brandon is very knowledgeable and the meal they take you to (you pay your own bill separately) is very good local food very tasty!

Highly recommend for the money is great value.

Meeting point is in the CENTRE of the train station, (through the main door and to the left, under the clock) we did take a few minutes to find it before we realised it was in the centre.

The meeting point was a little confusing, Google Maps took me several roads away and brought me to the train station over the tracks... The station is Hlavní nádraží, whether you're going by train, tram or metro, Wilsonova makes it sound like a completely different place. Pavel was brilliant, from start to finish. Very funny, very knowledgeable and very helpful - handing out a menu, ordering the food in advance, making sure everyone was comfortable and accounted for when travelling between destinations. Make sure you take enough to drink, as other than the meeting point in the train station, there's no other stops to buy a drink or a snack, until you get to the restaurant around 2pm.

I can't tell you how impressed I was with this tour, our guide Gaby was so on top of everything and checking in with various people on the tour (myself included) to see if we were enjoying ourselves. When it came to our lunch break, her main priority was ensuring everyone had what they ordered, and she didn't even take lunch for herself until everyone was taken care of. There were many obstacles/delays (outside of Gaby's control), but she took it strives and ensured the tour carried on without an issue. Not only that, but when I was advised I had to leave early due to the tour running a bit longer from some of the delays she went out of her way to ensure she got me on the correct train back to Prague in ample time for me to catch my 5pm bus back to Berlin! Thank you. Gaby for everything, if our paths every cross paths again I will be sure to buy you a drink and a token of my appreciation.

The tour guide was friendly and well informed about the area.
I really enjoy the restaurant that our group visited, great choice.

I will say to improve the meeting location for the tour group. I think is better to meet in front outside of the building rather than inside. The meeting point was inside a huge building and a challenge to find, and even if we passed the meeting point without noticing we did not found the group for a while. We were late for the initial meeting time and appreciated that thebgroup

In addition, I will say to improve the group organization when taking the train.
It was a nice experience in general but the tour guide seem insecure of the train stops and all the group members were seated in different areas. This last part made me feel a bit lost but I am sure is a work in progress for the tour.

The tour managed time very well.

Gaby was the reason we loved this tour - she is an amazing guide! We had a large group of 25 and she was super friendly, knowledgeable, and was able to wrangle all of us - and still had time to talk to us individually and answer our questions. My husband and I went on this day trip to see the Church of Bones, which was a fantastic sight to behold - but Gaby's tour had a ton of other stops with beautiful architecture, history, and great stories. Thank you, Gaby!

Does exactly what it says on the advertisement. First you assemble at the old town square, these are busy tours, so multiple buses leave for it, and it takes a while for them to group the people logically as they are in multiple languages too. Our group shared the bus with a Spanish group, but that did not have any effect on our actual experience as there is hardly much talking during the bus journey itself. Once out of the bus, we were back as the English group, the two groups being duly separated with the appropriate guides, so it was smooth on that front. Our guide was Nicolo who conducted the group very well, even took our meal orders for the lunch during the bus ride (they hand you a menu and let you pick the numbers), which is a great idea and saves so much time during the lunch break. The tour involves a fair bit of walking right from the word go, first you will be walked about 800 metres to a point across the river, as this is how far as the big buses are allowed. Once you board the bus, you can relax. When you get off at Kutna Hora, the actual walk to the bone chapel is easy, after which you take another short bus ride to a point near the St. Barbara's cathedral which is breathtakingly beautiful. Here you get plenty of time to admire this beautiful cathedral, athough, it would be a better idea to take some time off this one and allow more time at the bone chapel, which many felt was slightly rushed. Anyway, after this, you walk across the replica Charles Bridge of Kutna Hora, walking and admiring this beautiful town to arrive at the designated restaurant where you are served immediately. Again, the lunch was not rushed at all and pretty decent, although not too fancy. After lunch, you walk again, admiring more of the town and listening to the history winding your way through the town square, a beautiful viewing point overlooking the disused silver mines and grape plantations, and some more historic buildings of Kutna Hora ending up at a point which is different from where you got off, but the bus is already there waiting for you. Then you can literally board the bus and catch a nap, and before you realise, you are already back in Prague at the same bus point. At this stage, you can either avail a tram or walk back to the town centre, depending on where you intend to go. There is still plenty of energy left after this trip, so you can plan some light Prague sight-seeing in the evening time too, which is what we did. Nicolo was a good guide and his talks were insightful without being overbearing. Later he also guided us about which tram to board for the destination we were heading for. We were informed that photography is going to be disallowed inside the bone chapel in the foreseeable future and in fact we were one of the last fortunate groups to have been able to click pictures and videos inside. The St. Barbara Cathedral was pretty stunning, ornate and has some superb stained glass work, in fact, far more magnificent than the St. Vitus Cathedral situated in the Prague Castle complex. Be ready to get stunned.

A really fun trip. Andrea was an excellent guide. She constantly made sure everyone was around and comfortable and gave great talks about the history and folklore of the places and figures seen during the tour. The train ride was comfortable and the included lunch was delicious.
The bone church may be the main draw to this trip, but the large church in Kutna Hora and their own Charles bridge did not fall behind as far as sightseeing goes.

I was a bit confused at first as the initial booking as the title suggested going via train, but then the information stated air conditioned coach. Regardless the travel was smooth, and Pavel was fantastic. So much knowledge and happy to answer any questions. We were also on a strict timeline to ensure we reached each destination. The only constructive feedback I can offer is perhaps split the tour into two parts. The bus to the other part of town could be a separate tour.
I felt we did not spend a lot of time at any of the attractions, especially the Sedlec Ossuary, as we were in a rush to get the bus. This meant we could not take in the sights, or visit the local souvenir shop. I appreciate that lunch was not necessarily provided, but I believe a large majority of us would have preferred to have an 'hour' to explore, get lunch (if wanted) and visit the shops / stay longer at the Cathedrals and then meet at a specified time and point. Nevertheless, where we had lunch was a great spot.

The best advice I can give you is:

    - VERY comfortable shoes
    - SPF
    - Lots of water

Be prepared to walk a lot (I wasn't!)

Legitimately feel very scammed. Was a loyal customer of Sanderman’s and had saved up 6 stamps on the loyalty card, entitling us apparently to 1 free tour each. The tour we wanted to book was to Kutna Hora from Prague and we were making the trip to Prague for only one day just to do the tour. Seeing as we only had one day and we didn’t want anything to go wrong, we called up Sanderman’s to check it was possible over the phone, the operator confirm we could arrive 15 mins early to book the tour as apparently there was no way to book it online. Just in case, we reserved a spot on the tour as a child (free of charge). Upon arriving the next day, we were TURNED AWAY for no good reason. Apparently the tours we were entitled to via loyalty cards can only be booked “at the point of sales”. This was not possible as we arrived in Prague ONLY to do this tour and were told it was going to be okay. Lady in charge said there was no capacity for either of us on the bus although there logically was as we had booked a child spot to reserve the seat. Very disappointed with Sanderman’s who baited us with loyalty cards and earned plenty of our money while withholding our promised free tour in return.

Hello Savvytraveller96, Thank you for taking the time to review us on TripAdvisor and for choosing us in Prague.
