- BigBill60 contributionsA perfect tourThis was the ideal introduction to our visit to Prague. At about 2.5/3 hrs duration the tour was very informative and our guide - Anna - was very knowledgable and engaging. Our tour group was small which meant that we had plenty opportunity to ask questions as we went. Well worth the money.Written March 18, 2025
- yourdisplayname0 contributionsGreat introduction to PragueWe had a great time with our guide Anna. Anna is very funny and likes to laugh. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about Prague. This tour really helped us get a good understanding of the history of Prague and also points of interest.Written March 16, 2025
- Heidi S0 contributionsDo this walking tour!!We tend to do a walking tour when we visit somewhere new, and this was one of the best! Our guide, Jack (Honza) was amazing. Down to earth, knowledgeable, passionate and cared about his city. Pointed out loads of stuff we just wouldn't have doing it on our own. Well worth it. 5 stars 🤩.Written March 15, 2025
- X7656GGgrahams0 contributionsGreat tour, excellent guide.Honza was a fantastic guide, his passion for the subject matter shone through. We learned so much about Prague and Czech history during this tour that we would never have discovered wandering around with a map and guide book. Highly recommend this tour and would recommend doing it early in your stay to help you get your bearings and open up Prague for you.Written March 15, 2025

- 695brielleh0 contributionsAndrey was a great guideWe ended up having a solo tour because no one else had booked as it was as off season. Our guide Andrey was extremely knowledgeable and provided a great tour! He knew a large amount of information on many different topics.Written February 21, 2025
- rickgreat0 contributionsWorth it!My father and I met with Honza (Jack) promptly at 09:30 when he informed us he was just taking the two of us on the tour! Jack was absolutely fantastic and clearly had great knowledge of the city. He was very friendly and was very receptive to any questions we had (either about the tour or about Czechia in general). Highly recommend this tour, it took 3 hours (with a coffee break in the middle) and was incredibly interesting. Thanks a lot Jack!Written February 19, 2025
- 971kaurm0 contributionsA highly informative intro to Czech wine! The tour was amazing! Me and my wife have been developing an interest for wine for some time and Andrey gave us so much information we would otherwise never found about Czech wine. The tour itself is quite short, but you learn quite a bit about the largely unknown history of wine in Bohemia. There's a bunch of references to wine in the architecture etc, that you will never notice on your own. It was when we finally got to the wine bar for tastings that Andrey's expertise really began to shine. It was a real privilege to partake in a tasting with someone who's studied wine in Austrian academies etc. Plus, we got a bunch of hints for where to go in Moravia for proper wine tourism, all while sipping on beautiful local wines. It was only too bad that we'd booked the tour for the last night of our visit, because he also recommended good affordable places to drink local wines, but we didn't have the time to go. Anyway, highly recommended, definitely one of the highlights of our visit.Written February 17, 2025

- Joanne O0 contributionsGreat value tour with very knowledgeable guideWe thoroughly enjoyed exploring Pragues old and new town with our wonderful guide Andrey. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Prague and because we were a small group we had opportunity to ask questions. With Andrey’s local knowledge we saw a different side to Prague, away from the main tourist hot spots. Would thoroughly recommend this Tour which was great value for money.Written February 9, 2025

Asked us about our interests before starting, and gave us a really brilliant insight into Praha’s history. - georgewC7741KS0 contributionsHighly RecommendWe recently did a walking tour in Prague with Martin, and it was one of the best decisions of our trip! Martin was a fantastic guide—his passion for the city, incredible knowledge, and great sense of humour made the experience fun and fascinating. He brought Prague’s history to life with engaging stories and insightful details that we never would have discovered on our own. Our small group of six was the perfect size for a more personal and relaxed experience. We covered a good bit of the city, so be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes! A real highlight was when Martin took us to a charming and peaceful café, Café Truhlárna, tucked away in the beautiful Franciscan Gardens. It was the perfect spot to take a break and enjoy delicious local Czech baked goods and coffee. I’d highly recommend doing this tour early in your stay—it’s a fantastic way to get to know Prague and make the most of your visit. If you get the chance to tour with Martin, you’re in for a treat!Written January 29, 2025
- X9982PQtylerg0 contributionsGreat learning experience with intelligent guideWe had a wonderful time on the tour with Andrey! It was a cold day with rain on and off, but that didn’t keep Andrey from doing a great job and staying enthusiastic. We learned alot about the history & architecture of Prague. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quick tour (3 hours) to learn as much as possible.Written January 23, 2025
- K5202MTkenl0 contributionsBest Tour and GuideHonza (Jack) was a phenomenal tour guide! Informative about the whole tour from current info to historical facts about the city. He’s well up to date on current events so we had many side convo’s. We toured Kutna Hora on foot using train and bus, which made me feel like a local. He reserved everything in advanced; so we had a private cabin on the 1 hour train ride out to Kutna Hora and back. He reserved the restaurant as well. Overall, highly recommend and would request Jack as a guide!Written January 19, 2025

I cannot say enough positive things about our tour guide Michael. He knew everything there was to know about Prague. Not just what was on the script about the various sites along the tour route, but about anything that the tour guests asked him. He provided really comprehensive, insightful answers to everything. One guest even asked him what is the most popular soft drink in the Czech Republic and he gave us a whole history about kofola.
I have been on several other tours while in Europe, and this was the best. Just enough time in each location, and the perfect tour guide.
Only one minor suggestion. I recommend letting guests know in advance they will be required to purchase a tram ticket. It was a minor expense, but would’ve been helpful to know. Perhaps it was noted somewhere and I missed it.

We recently did a three-hour afternoon tour of Prague with Michal, and it was amazing! Michal is so passionate and knowledgeable, and he really brought Prague’s history to life for us. His storytelling was super engaging, and he gave us such a deep dive into the city’s past. He answered all our questions in so much detail and made the whole experience feel really personal. If you’re into history and want to explore Prague, I can’t recommend this tour enough—especially with Michal as your guide!

You will see all the sites that are listed on this itinerary, but tour will take much longer than 3 hours. Tour guide was nice , but she wasn’t very organized. You have to take a tram up to the castle and cathedral, and we spent over a half hour purchasing tickets—she should have purchased them beforehand and then just validated them when we got to the tour (so tickets should have been included in price of tour). If you have walking issues, this might not be the best option for you, as our tour guide just kept walking and RARELY stopped to make sure we were all together. She was more interested in talking with the people from Montenegro than making sure we were all together. Our tour was in November, so it got dark fairly early and made it rather difficult to see her lime green umbrella, which she has already rolled ip instead of being open. We met in front of the Astronomical Clock, one of Prague’s biggest attractions, yet she said absolutely nothing about it until someone asked at the end of the tour some questions about it—that was disappointing.

Dear traveler,
first of all, we always encourage people with walking difficulties to take a private walking tour. That way guide can ensure the pace is just right for you. If you join a group tour guide cannot hold up the whole group if one or two individuals struggle with normal, regular pace.
The tour meets at the Astronomical Clock, however, it is just a starting point. History of Old Town, New Town and Jewish Quarter is covered in our morning walk (in the offseason 9:30-12:30), which is followed by the afternoon walk (your tour, 13:30-16:30).The morning tour ends right by the clock, which is the reason why the afternoon one starts from the same spot (so the people could possibly do both tours in one day).
Purchasing the tram tickets is only a matter of few minutes, so half hour is a massive exaggeration :-)
We do not add them into the tour price as people over 65 years of age are free of charge so no need to charge them a flat fee which they might not need.
Lastly, it is normal that guide is, during the tour, chatting with people around. It does not really matter where they are from - we chat with people from US, UK, Canada, Montenegro or anywhere else :) the same way guide is here and there checking on the group people are also responsible to check on their guide to know where he/she is at. Anyways, we hope that next time we'll be possibly able to take you on a private tour rather than a group tour. Having a tour that can be tailored to your needs would be an ideal solution!

This was essentially a tour of Prague Castle. The tour started in Old Town Square, but we didn't do/see/learn anything at that location. The Palace was closed so we were unable to see that part of the Castle. Because the tour ran 30 minutes over, the information about St. Charles Bridge felt rushed. After having spent more days in Prague, this tour could have pointed out several other great areas to visit and contained some current information about Prague. The guide was very knowledgable, particularly about history, but overall this was not as inclusive of a tour as I hoped it'd be and in hindsight very overpriced. I would recommend just visiting Prague Castle and buying the tickets + audioguide.

Dear traveler,
if you read the DETAILED description of the tour, you can see there step-by-step overview of the tour. We do not mention anything about the Old Town, because we have a separate tour for that in the morning. Afternoon tour cover western river bank, morning tour covers eastern river bank.
The aim of this tour is not to cover all the major sights in the city - that is simply not possible to do in 3,5 hours.
Next time I would recommend reading detailed description of the tour before booking the activity. Also, I am not quite sure if you know how much does the Castle ticket cost, but it creates nearly 50% of the activity cost so I have to disagree on "overpriced" part. Anyways, next time we hope you'll read all the details to set the right expectations to avoid possible misunderstandings.

Part of the tour is using the underground and tram which was we enjoyed as he made it realise how easy it was book these if we wanted to fo future travelling in the city

This tour was our first activity in Prague and laid a perfect foundation for our other tours and sightseeing in this beautiful city. I cannot say enough about our guide, Rosie. Her knowledge of the country and the Castle District was obvious. She shared a lot of information, not only about the history of Prague but also provided context about what was happening in the world during the key events. I also enjoyed gaining insight into the people of the Czech Republic. I find their pride in their nation and culture inspiring.
Rosie was patient and ensured she met every need of our group of about 20. She was willing to spend extra time to answer questions and provide recommendations about dining options and other must-see attractions.
When we return to Prague - and we will - I would love to participate in another of Rosie’s tours!

Mike our guide was excellent the headsets provided were v helpful and the tour content was really interesting BUT this is a long tour with lots of walking and needs a better break built in. We only had one comfort break in 3 hours at the castle toilets where you had to pay cash. Hardly anyone had change and so some had to leave early. The castle toilets were near the cafe so suggest including the fees in the tour along with the ticket plus few minutes to get a drink or short rest. This is a long tour so by the end it felt pretty gruelling which was a shame as Mike did a great job.

Dear traveler,
we're glad you had a good time on your tour. Regarding the tour's path - it is in fact quite a short distance covered during the walk, it just takes time to go through all the buildings. We also suggest that if travellers need more than just one bathroom break in 3-hour duration of the tour, they should always ask their guide. We'll be happy accommodate. When it comes to "rest stops" - it is a thing which is extremely personal. If we put more breaks in, young people would complain the tour was too slow. If we skip them completely, older people would complain it was too long without any stop. That's why we're trying to have at least one short stop. Lastly, yes, public toilets are always paid in most of European countries so it is always good to keep a spare change.

We recently took a 3-hour walking tour of Prague, including the stunning Prague Castle, and it was truly a highlight of our trip! Our guide, Jack, was exceptional—knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the history and culture of this beautiful city.
Jack brought Prague’s rich history to life with fascinating stories and insights, weaving humor and charm into the tour. His tips for getting the most out of the city—like the best viewpoints, hidden gems, and local dining were invaluable and made our stay even more enjoyable.
The tour was well-paced, and Jack ensured everyone in the group felt included and comfortable.
If you’re visiting Prague, this walking tour is really recommended and Jack was a very good guide. You’ll come away with a deeper appreciation for this magical city and some insider tips to make your visit unforgettable.

Is there a lot of steps climbing or steep slopes that we need to go up? I'd be with my 74-year-old mum... She's ok with walking but is challenged when it comes to climbing. A few steps here and there are fine...just not prolonged stairs or slope climbing. Will be great if someone who has gone on this tour before can help share his/her experience! Thank you!

Well, when we were there my wife was 73, and I was 78 with bad knees, but we made it. I don't remember lots of steps (you do take the subway), but there was a long incline down at the end of the tour. Yes, we were tired, but we thought it was well worth it. Also, we ate at a local resturant ( Baroq 1708... I think it was called) a few blocks from the painted wall at the end of the tour, and it was very good. It was near the end of the Charles bridge. Not sure this helps, but as we found out, in Europe there is a lot of walking.

The tour we signed up for was sadly cancelled due to the Castle in Prague closing for the day. I would like to request a refund.
Written July 10, 2023
If you signed up for a tour and it was cancelled, the tour operator should automatically refund your purchase. One way or the other, contact the operator. I have had tours cancelled, most recently in Vienna, and although, the operator did not provide much notice about the cancellation, they issued a refund immediately—and I did not have to request it.

If your tour starts at 2 PM, it might be a little tight. Have you received the rendezvous point for the tour to begin? And have you figured out how close it is to your hotel?
