Eva was a fantastic guide who went above and beyond. She not only explained about the foods we were eating, but talked us around the whole area giving us a fantastic awareness of this wonderful city. I would certainly recommend this tour if you love food, want to taste the local cuisine and all while learning the historical details as you stroll around.

Helena was a fantastic guide who made the food tour so much more than its component parts. The itinerary was very well organised and perfectly timed, with each site having our tastings freshly prepared on our arrival. In addition to detailed information about the food (which was all interesting, local and delicious), Helena included historical facts about the city as we walked, so we learned about traditions, architecture etc as well. Helena was extremely good at creating social connection within the group and she took the time at the end to make a list of places to try after the tour, tailored to our personal requests. I highly recommend this tour.

It was a great tour with great food. Helena was a very friendly guide with plenty of knowledge of the city, and with a small group she was able to give personalized recommendations to everyone based on their preferences, interests, and where they were staying. Definitely a great way to experience Prague

David and Robert were simply the best guides to walk around Prague with to learn and taste the city. They were funny and very informative about all things Czech. We ate and drank more than our fair share and discovered dishes we otherwise would have never ordered or tried during our stay (seriously, we had "pickled cheese" every other day after this tour). We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great way to see and taste the city or who wants to learn about the history of food here.

This is an excellent way to see a part of the city in depth, to learn about the culture, and to taste typical food and drink. Our guide, Helena, was well-informed and gave a lively running commentary on everything we saw and ate. We had a very local beer, open-faced sandwiches from the Prague inventor of such sandwiches, incredible charcuterie from the premier butcher shop, a lovely small portion of a traditional entree at a charming cafe, and then an international award-winning gelato to finish the meal. We walked around the old town as we sampled the foods, so I never felt overfed or overexercised. I wish I had taken this tour my first day in Prague, as Helena had many suggestions of places to eat and things to see beyond our tour. Highly recommend!!

We had an enthusiastic guide and experienced some new and interesting foods. My one complaint is the various settings where we stopped. All of the locations except for one were very noisy. At the initial meeting point there was someone funning a vacuum cleaner while Helena tried her best to educate us. The bartender banged his espresso machine trying to clean it out. Perhaps those employees could have waited 20 minutes for us to leave?? The second stop was in a cavernous area where the acoustics made it impossible to hear. Occasional stops on the street to hear about local art or architecture were difficult due to crowds and cars. I'm not sure what can be done about this, Prague is a big, crowded city so this comes with the territory to some extent. More stops inside a cafe where the environment can be controlled would help.

Robert was a great guide, accommodating and provided lots of information. He did a great job of putting each food tasting into context of Czech's history.

The tour consisted of 5 stops (3 pics below, will leave the other 2 as surprises), which was less than other reviews had led me to expect, but that may have been because post-pandemic tourist season was not yet in full swing. The vegetarian in our group also had lots to sample so that was great.

One or two more dessert stops would have been great :)

We enjoy booking food tours when we travel and this tour in Prague did not disappoint! Our group of 6 enjoyed our day with Eva. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional in all the food arrangements. Great English, too! So much food, you will not go away hungry. We met Eva at a beer boat, and enjoyed a beer and a marinated cheese snack. From there, we traveled on to a unique sandwich shop and a meat market where we sampled "Czech tapas" and a selection of meats. Onward to an historical restaurant, Cafe Louvre, where we were treated to the traditional Czech meal of Svičkovà, finally gelato, dessert at Creme de La Creme. An enjoyable, and tasty day!

Helen was great - very knowledgable about the food and Prague history. This was my second food tour with Eating Europe. I loved the first so much in Florence that I booked one for Prague as well. Helen gave us background on Prague food, but she also gave us the history of the city by stopping in various places to explain and point out certain sights.
