A private art collection, with exhibits from various fields: painting, music, religion, ceramics, weapons, etc. They have a terrace with a very beautiful view of the city.
There is also a cafe where you can dine or drink something (a bit expensive ...)

The palace is a wonderful place to start your journey in the city of Prague. The Lobkowicz family takes great time and effort to explain all the details of their collection and palace. We highly recommend the audio guides. Don’t skip any numbers. This was honestly the best museum and experience in Prague without a doubt.

From music, to weapons, followed by beautiful portraits and paintings. A visit to Prague is not complete without visiting the Lobkowicz palace.

We visited as part of a Viking optional tour. It included a luncheon, a concert and tour of the museum. It was well worth it. The luncheon was very good; salad, goulash and dessert served with wine from the family vineyard.
The concert was excellent.
The audio tour was self-guided; you cold take as much or as little time at each location according to your interest. The family has a fantastic collection of ancestry portraits and a fascinating family story.
In addition there is a fantastic music collection including original works by Beethoven and musical instruments.
There is a large collection of decorative art including Delft china and religious pieces.
I highly recommend a visit to the palace when in Prague.

Well prepared, spacious, in-depth audioguide; affordable prices. Nice Bosch paintings and 2 Canalettos, impressive manuscripts of Bethoven.
BUT...
80-90% of the pictures are just the pictures of Lobkovich family. Furthermore be aware that the posters hanging in Prague and advertising the museum with big letters VELAZQUES are just deception. There are no Velazques paintings there. Just a picture of a girl also painted by Velazques. That makes a difference, doesn't it?

A palace dating back to the 16th century with a free (with ticket, of course!) audioguide narrated by the descendents of the first prince who'd had it built. The guide informs the visitor of the family history, the importance of the objects & works found in the palace in light of this history and tells various family anecdotes. Probably the best audioguide I've ever followed as it both enlightens and amuses.
The employees are friendly and I had the pleasure of chatting with one guard at the end of the visit, as she helped me to take pictures of a beautiful ceiling in the 3rd but last room. Do remember to look up as you go through.

We enjoyed walking through the Lobkowicz Palace. Learning the history about the family and Prague was very interesting, and the family members are those who are speaking through the audio tour. There are lots of artifacts and exhibits to see as well. Highly recommend!

This is one of the best museum experiences, ever. The family guides you through their possessions, including paintings, original Beethoven and Mozart musical scores, armaments. . . and so much more. All in what had been their royal family home for centuries. Add this to your list!

This museum is definitely a highlight of Prague and a must-see.
Do use the audio guide provided, particularly at the terrace with its stunning panoramic views, where the Prince himself narrates each highlighted site.
