Šarka did an awesome job showing us the Czech and German wilderness. She's very passionate about showing nature to people. The routes we took and the pace suited our group well. A very enjoyable day, highly recommend!

It's a very manicured hiking path so you won't need boots. I saw some people doing it barefoot and lots of people were in sandals. I did it with a company called Northern Hikers and enjoyed my experience with them.

As I remember there is not much elevation. There is one short bridge as you approach the arch. I’m not a big fan of heights either but found it all very tolerable.

Guess running shoes will suffice as long as they have good grips. The guide has spare equipment ready, e.g. she ice snow grips, walking sticks/trekking poles, etc. It will help if you inform them ahead of help you may need.
