About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- InDognito20 contributionsEscape from the madding crowdVery good tour which lasts around an hour. There was only 5 people on our tour (English speaking) which made it even more worthwhile. Guide was very informative and helpful, answering any questions given. There’s examples of history, archaeology, geography and brewing. Fab stuff.Written October 22, 2024
- 306aleksandrak0 contributionsOK for adults - but just for reading/watchingI expected something more contemporary - some video shows, interactive items - it is simply an exposure, albeit a nice one.Written November 24, 2022
- Kashak_N0 contributionsMust to seeWas in this brewery a couple of times and this place must to be seen if you more than one day in Pilsen. Beer from barrel it's something non ordinary. Also to see huge cans for beer production and"travel" by biggest in Czech lift add impression.Written June 10, 2022
- Jana K0 contributionsAfter Plzeňský Prazdroj, this one was not interestingAfter Plzeňský Prazdroj, this one was not interesting. I don't say that this place is bad or so, but after visiting Plzeňský Prazdroj, this place was not interesting. I would call it even boring. Most of the information was repeated for me after the tour that I went for few moment ago. On the top of that, the tour at the museum is done by app in your phone that plays separate comments. Audio is narrated in slow pace so I was bored. Most of the brewing procedure is illustrated by working figures. I would say that this place is suitable more for children or so. The most interesting thing at the place was a video that was showing how wood barrels for beer are produced. This was done nicely and it was something new for me, as I haven't see a thing like this even at Plezeňský Prazdroj tour.Written September 6, 2021
- Jonoln0 contributionsExcellent museumA splendid old building housing a terrific exhibition of brewing in Pilsen. Tour includes a beer and there are great souvenirs in the shop. Part of the old city wall is included. Thoroughly recommended!Written October 30, 2019
- DebLJ0 contributionsHighly recommendedSo much more interesting and educational then the Pilsner Urquell Brewery tour. This place provides tons of background on brewing beer with a large number of artifacts. Everything in English also.Written October 18, 2019
- diane g0 contributionsMrsI thought the tour was excellent. The guide was very good and friendly and was able to answer all our questions. The factory floor itself was unbelievable in view of the fact that only 20 people work there. I especially enjoyed the underground tunnels. Very well worth a visit next time you are in PragueWritten September 26, 2019

- Jewelsju0 contributionsInteestingThe museum is well priced. It is interesting and is in Czech , english and German throughout. With some parts in Russian too. It gives an interesting history of pilsner the town and brewery.Written April 20, 2019
- DrPiggy0 contributionsFascinating look at the history of beerThis brewery museum surpassed all my expectations. It is also at the start of the underground city tour. I highly suggest doing both (and stopping at Senk Na Parkanu restaurant which is adjacent for wonderful food and beer). The beer museum is huge, over 3 stories. There are many life-size exhibits and monitors with video and narration that fully explain all aspects of beet making, which is of utmost importance in the Czech Republic. We spent an hour in the museum and then went on a highly unusual underground exploration of the ancient history of the city. I highly recommend doing both. Get your tickets for the underground tour ahead of time as they sell out (English-speaking tour is only at certain times).Written March 31, 2019
- sarahsol1310 contributionsDay tripMy friend and I took a day trip from Prague to the Brewery Museum in Pilsen for St. Patrick’s Day. We got there very easily by the train and walking. The museum itself however was confusing. There was no guide, but instead an app that was even more confusing. The receptionist however did speak English which helped a lot. The museum itself was interesting, but boring. The figures look real, and you get one free beer at the end. Overall, for around 15 dollars overall for the ticket and transportation it was worth it. However, I wouldn’t go again.Written March 18, 2019
- Ang14160 contributionsGreatFabulous brewery tour. Very informative and fascinating. Great guide and very friendly. Amazed at how it’s made and the quantities involved. Worth a visit. 👍👍Written February 17, 2019
- 773nicholasn0 contributionsFine but overpricedMuseum was fine but not that big and I would expect more for that price (90 czk) around 40 would be more fair.Written January 7, 2019
- Johannes R0 contributionsAmazing historyYou need to take part in the underground tour of Pilsen. A 800m part of the remarkable 18km underground system can be seen! It’s a must!Written November 7, 2018

The museum is really very good and definitely worth a visit. Most of the exhibition is labelled in German. We learned a lot about beer production and its history. Each person receives a voucher for a glass of beer, which can be redeemed in the restaurant next to the museum.

I booked the museum in conjunction with a visit to Pilsen. Unfortunately the advertisement was a bit misleading, as I assumed it was a guided tour. Hence only 4 stars. The museum itself is very interesting and educational, the people here are friendly and helpful and the free beer was available in the quaint pub next door. Definitely recommended, although the guided cellar tour is probably even more interesting. Unfortunately I didn't have time for that. Pilsen as a whole is definitely worth seeing and recommended, best in summer when all the beer gardens are open. I will definitely be back then.

Informative and recommended! Anyone interested in the history of beer is in the right place here. Afterwards there is a tour of the cellars of Pilsen, which were also very interesting! More for adults, but children over a certain age can be taken along without any problems.

Nice to see more about the origins of Pilsen's beer history. Not a very special museum in itself, but nice entertainment for a rainy day (as in our case). If you are in Pilsen I would go in.
