Great tour of Cesky Krumlov with Premiant Tours (Karolina)
It is impossible not to love this place! Quaint, historic town and so full of culture. Lots of picturesque sites and many cafes and ice cream shops to enjoy a day excursion. It was very enjoyable with Karolina as she's very knowledgeable and highly energetic! Superb guide and beautiful place. Take note that it's 2-3 hrs each way!

    Day trip
If you are in Prague buy the tickets in advance of the local bus to Czech krumlov, a medieval city very pleasant to spend a summer day outdoors, visiting the castle and having a nice lunch in one of the many restaurants in the castle surroundings. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is like in medieval films. The road to go there, 2 hours by bus, gives you a scenery of the countryside of Czech. You can't miss it.

Too long a trip, wasted a full day of Prague and a boring guide
6 of us visited cesky krumlov from Prague - a 10.5 hour trip which we found very long and tiresome. 2.5 hrs one way was just the traveling time .. however The castle itself was beautiful , the tour of the castle was good too.. We booked through viator - the local agent was Martin tours.. we found the guide very boring , uninteresting, unapproachable , dull and in all , because of that , found this a very very boring trip and would not repeat it .. atleast through this company .. Prague is just so spectacular- the museum variety , the different squares , the old town etc .. its such a waste to spend an entire day on a long trip ..

    Fairytale Town!
What brings us here is because of the Korean travel reality show 花样爷爷! [Grandpas over Flowers] Now, we are tracing back their footsteps in this small fairytale town. The castle is another UNESCO heritage. Another highlights on our visit is the Easter Market at Centrum Square stocked with local handicrafts and local delicacies.

If you can get away from your group, wander around
As stated, this is an incredibly beautiful town. The sights are wonderful at every turn. This is a city to be seen and not to be a background for dull tour guide stories. There is too much to see here--do not waste your limited/valuable time on nonsense.

Had a wonderful time. Although it is a tourist town, it was such a great city with amazing architecture and history. We really enjoyed it. The service and beer were wonderful!

    Fantastic Visit
Cesky Krumlov is a beautiful town, the Castle is a must visit as you can see everything from there. Narrow cobblestone streets and lots of shops. Absolutely worth the visit.

Filip, our guide and driver was friendly and engaging, and held interesting conversation en route. The travel time was 4 hours and the actual walking tour was 3hrs, with approximately 30/40 min for lunch. Since there is so much to see and understand and appreciate, the walk was very rushed and we felt that we missed out on a lot of what the site has to offer.

Next time we will definitely spend the night and explore further over 2 days. A good way to get a brief idea of what this beautiful UNESCO site holds. A more detailed historical explanation of buildings, etc would also make the time spent more meaningful.

The speed that we travelled back to Prague was unpleasant and the back seats and door storage areas of the vehicle were not cleaned.

FRANW855 - This review should go to the touring company you took a day trip from Prague to Český Krumlov . This listing belongs to Krumlov Tours, professional English guide services in Český Krumlov and South Bohemia. You are definitely right, that one day tours from Prague to Český Krumlov are very much rushed and very often visitors get bad experience because of limited time in and being taken through the busiest parts of the Český Krumlov UNESCO site only. I would be more than happy to assist in planning to future trip to Český Krumlov and South Bohemia.
