          A Truly Unforgettable Guide Experience!
I wanted to share my "amazing" experience with our guide, Berni, during our trip to Rainbow Mountain. His unique approach to guiding truly made the trip one to remember! To start, Berni showed remarkable dedication to his meals by letting us navigate on our own while he waited for his fried alpaca. His insistence that we communicate in Spanish for the entrance fee because he couldn’t tear himself away from his culinary quest was a nice touch. The route he picked for our descent from the Red Valley was equally impressive. The lack of a clear path and the numerous slips we endured added a thrilling element to our adventure. His strategy of running ahead and lounging on the ground was a masterclass in guide-client interaction. And his question at the end about how many times we fell? Hilarious! Berni’s knowledge about local wildlife was another highlight. Informing us that local dogs might have rabies but not knowing where to get a post-exposure rabies vaccine showed an interesting blend of concern and ignorance. His comment about bats being metamorphosed rats was the cherry on top, adding a touch of creative biology to our tour. In summary, Berni’s blend of arrogance, disrespect, and unique guiding techniques made for an unforgettable experience. I’ll be sure to recommend him to anyone looking for an adventure filled with unexpected twists and dubious information.

          Amazing experience!
My fiancé and I had an amazing experience with this tour. It was so nice having all of our itineraries and transportation planned for us when we arrived in Peru (from the US). We had 3 different, fantastic tour guides. First, Rosbel took us on tours of the sacred valley and Machu Picchu. He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and patient with us and our small group. Somehow he had an answer to every question I asked, no matter how random. He was so well organized and handled the many logistics of our trip so well - we never had to worry. We hiked Lake Humantay with Jacob, who was incredibly friendly and supportive as we hiked at a high altitude we were not used to. A wonderful companion to chat with (when we could catch our breath) and the most amazing photographer and cinematographer you’ll find (we have so many amazing pictures of our day because of him!). Our last day we were supposed to hike rainbow mountain with Amilcar. Unfortunately, the night before I started not to feel well. He was very communicative ahead of time and open to still trying to go to rainbow mountain to see if I felt up for it. I ended up getting sick shortly into our drive and he was so nice and understanding of needing to turn around and that I was unwell. Overall, would recommend the experience and all of the tour guides we worked with.

          Amazing Machu Picchu
Jacob was an amazing guide for Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. He took great care of my friend and myself. He was very friendly and informative. Wonderful experience culminating in a spectacular sunny morning in Machu Picchu. Highly recommend Flashpacker Connect and special thanks to Jacob, our guide. A lifetime experience!

Fabulous trip to Bolivia and Peru
The trip was amazing! Romina did a fabulous job arranging everything for our 10 days in Bolivia and Peru. We had a wonderful guide - Jacob - who was very knowledgeable, fun and helpful every step of the way. Highly recommend.

          Amazing experience!
We did the 2 day Inca trail trek to Machu Picchu and the 1 day to rainbow mountain tours. Our tour guide was Albert and we can’t say enough good things about him! The tours were amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the Incas and at the Treks. He was able to answer all of our questions and took us to the best spots for views/pictures. He was very approachable and gave us recommendations of restaurants to try and places to go in the city. I was sick during our trek up rainbow mountain and he helped make sure I still got up the mountain which I appreciated so much. We also enjoyed all of our meals that were provided to us. Highly recommend this company and Albert as your tour guide!

          Rainbow mountain day trip
The best tour going to rainbow mountain. Early pick up but first ones there. Beat the masses of tourists and included red valley which was stunning and peaceful. Guide (Bernie) was brilliant and very knowledgable. Good lunch at nice spot on the way home and comfy bus. Best way to do it!

Great experience on the Inca trail during low season
We had an amazing experience on the 4 day Inka trail hike with Flashpackers! The views were stunning and it was so special to see so many ruins ahead of Machu Picchu - highly highly recommend. Full credit goes to the incredible team who made our experience so special! Our guide, Ricardo, was extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much about the history and significance of different ruins along the trail. Our chef and sous chef (Charli & Santos) were exceptionally talented and prepared high quality and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We’re also still in awe of how our porters (Nilo, Juan, Abran, Fidel, and Santos) carried all our belongings with such ease. They also made the trip super comfortable as we always arrived to a set up camp, allowing us to relax and enjoy our down time. Though we went during rainy season, we were lucky with our weather. The clouds kept the trail cool and we only had a night of dense fog. We only had a few sporadic bursts of rain that quickly passed. It worked well in our favor - the trail wasn’t crowded and we had many mornings and afternoons all to ourselves. Would definitely trade a few instances of rain for a peaceful trek! Recommendations for future travelers: bring hand sanitizer and always have toilet paper on you! Bathrooms are fairly frequent along the trail, but most don’t have soap. We also brought body wipes to clean ourselves at night and really enjoyed feeling clean at night!

Highly recommended! Our tour guide Alberto is the best!
Really good experience in Peru. Our tour guide Alberto is very helpful and knowledgeable. He talked about a lot of interesting history of Inca when we visited Machu Picchu. Since I was a little sick during the trip, he helped me buy the medicine and recustomized the tour in Cusco according to this situation. In all, highly recommended!

          Amazing 5 Day Salkantay Trek
My partner and I had an amazing time on our 5-day trek with Flashpacker. With only the two of us on the trek, we had a lot more flexibility and the team did a really great job of providing us with a unique experience, ensuring that we always avoided the crowds and stayed in quieter campsites. The trek was definitely challenging at times, but our guide Jhon was kind, experienced and supportive, allowing us to set our own pace and making us laugh to lighten the mood. He was extremely knowledgable about the landscape and the history and we learnt a lot from his detailed explanations. He was also very patient whenever we wanted to stop to take pictures and knew all the best spots to help us capture some really great photos. Our chef William was also very friendly and always had a smile on his face. He made an amazing variety of peruvian dishes for us each day and did a great job of accommodating my vegetarian diet. He and the horseman Beto worked well together ensuring that everything was ready when we arrived at the campsite. Overall the staff went out of their way to ensure that everything was tailored to our unique needs and that we had a truly memorable experience.

          An excellent two day adventure
Gio, Adriel, Celso and Fidel took excellent care of us on this intensive two day adventure. If you are short on time, this is incredible bang for your buck in terms of exploration, beauty, and depth of experience in a short amount of time. DO follow packing instructions! I almost didn’t bring gloves and that would have been a huge mistake. It’s rugged out there. We got to Rainbow Mountain before the crowds (it was an aggressive AM itinerary, but worth it), and had a super magical half hour to ourselves with the sun and the glittering frost. Gio did a great job documenting our trip with photos. Food was great. This is not an outing for the faint of heart or those lacking in fitness (and patience!). I am relatively fit and my friend is super fit, and it was a real mental game to overcome the altitude. I have never walked so slow in my life. But, just take it one step at a time, big picture it was all worth it.

          Unforgettable trip to Vinicunca
I booked a day tour to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) with Flashpacker Connect and it was an amazing trip. My guide for the day was Beker and he made this trip a really memorable experience. We arrived at the mountain, stayed for a bit, and then walked on the side of the mountain to take a peek into the Red Valley. All of the views are out of this world, and we were able to enjoy them before other tours started arriving. We were among the first to arrive at the mountain. Throughout the hike Beker shared lots of interesting information about the site and Peruvian culture in general. He also took lots of awesome pictures for me. One thing I really appreciate about this tour is that, even though the trek is tough if you are not used to hike at altitude, I always felt safe. Beker walked at my pace and was constantly checking on me. They also carry coca leaves and oxygen in case you need them. A shoutout to Fidel who drove us there and back safely and was also fun to hang out with. On the way back, we stopped at a designated location to have lunch. They offered us many local dishes which were all delicious. A perfect way to conclude a trip I will never forget!

          Rainbow Mountain - Baker
For our annual trip this year we decided to go to Peru. Prior to going we knew we wanted to hike Machu Picchu & Rainbow Mountain. We reached out to a few tour groups and decided to go with FlashpackerConnect, and they did not disappoint. They helped us organize the two-day Machu Picchu trip from Cusco and the one day Rainbow Mountain hike. The team was very responsive, kept us in the loop, and everything was planned out perfectly. Baker (our incredible tour guide) met us at 3am in our hotel lobby. "Today we will be going on a 3 hour drive and then we will be at rainbow mountain. Get comfortable and have a nap." said Baker. Rainbow mountain was wonderful, and so was Baker. When we got to the base of the mountain Baker handed us some breakfast and we headed off on our hike. it was a short hike with a wonderful destination. Baker knew exactly what we wanted. We took pictures and had a few laughs. Then Baker asked if we wanted to do more hiking."Of Course!". We took off and hiked to a lookout spot over Red Valley. so epic. After the hike we had a private lunch prepared by a local chef. The food was soooooo gooooood! After Lunch we haded back to Cusco. It is difficult to explain, but the trip was great and Baker was the perfect guide. We saw so many beautiful places, eat wonderful food and had a guide (Baker) that had such a great vibe. 10 out of 10 would recommend! ,

          Machu Pichu - Albert
For our annual trip this year we decided to go to Peru. Prior to going we knew we wanted to hike Machu Picchu & Rainbow Mountain. We reached out to a few tour groups and decided to go with FlashpackerConnect, and they did not disappoint. They helped us organize the two-day Machu Picchu trip from Cusco and the one day Rainbow Mountain hike. The team was very responsive, kept us in the loop, and everything was planned out perfectly. The day of the Machu Picchu trip, our guide Albert, met us in our hotel lobby and immediately gave us the rundown of what we should expect over the next two days. Over the next two days Albert was incredibly helpful and insightful. He answered all of our questions, knew a lot about the history of the region and the Inca Empire, and was a very kind, helpful person. He added a level of professionalism that made our trip perfect. He took pictures for us, taught us information about Machu Picchu we would have never learned without him, and helped us get the most out of the experience. The trip itself is wonderful - from the car ride through the mountains and Sacred Valley, to the train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, and eventually stepping into Machu Picchu, everything was planned seamlessly by FlashpackerConnect. We had free time to adventure around Aguas Calientes on our own but also knew that we could reach out to Albert if we needed anything. The hotel accommodations they arranged for us were also great. We can't say enough good things about the trip, and specifically about Albert. He was a great guide and we would highly recommend FlashpackerConnect and Albert to anyone going on a trip to Cusco.

Great Tour - Excellent Guide Rosbel Borda ("Ross")
I recently completed the 2-day Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu with my adult son. He also posted a review so I won't repeat his excellent summary. I highly recommend adding the 13K hike (~ 1800 ft climb) if at all possible. I gained a much deeper appreciation for the physicality of the place and the lives of the Inca and Peruvian indigenous peoples. The landscape is stunning and the Inca trail is a marvel in itself. The second day is completely focused on Machu Picchu in this context. Our guide, Rosbel Borda ("Ross"), was excellent. Beyond his warmth, smile, patience, and attention to detail was a deep love and pride for his people and the ongoing mystery of what they accomplished. I told my son, "Now there is someone who loves his job." I have been on many tours around the world. In most cases, I gain lots of interesting information. Ross guided me past knowledge into experiencing this sacred place and the people whose presence was palpable even today. Please book this tour with Ross and give him a deep bow from me.

          Unforgettable experience!
We did the 4 days/3 nights Inca Trail to Macchu Picchu. When we first met our guide Mijail we immediately realised he was special and we were lucky to have him as our guide. His commitment to us was limitless from minute 0 and even after we parted ways. His knowledge and the passion with which he shares it is outstanding. Personally I faced a very big challenge in doing the trail and his advice and confidence that I could do it helped me move forward and indeed complete the trail. When he heard about Axel’s passion for birdwatching the didn’t hesitate to bring a very heavy book about Birds of Perú and put special detail to this aspect all along our trek. He read each one of us to perfection, our interests and needs and always knew how to adapt his inputs to each one of us making it truly special. The team of porters that accompanied us, lead by Gerardo, and the cooking team in charge of Adriel was absolutely outstanding. The effort, perseverance, passion and respect they put to their work is simply admirable. We really felt accompanied and looked after by the entire team at every moment. Each one of us started the trail with different ideas of what it would be and it turned out to be truly magical to each one in their own way. It was an experience of connection, insurance, empathy, companionship and respect that truly marked us all. This was of course thanks to the magic and essence of our surroundings but mostly due to Mijail’s and the team’s ability to convey this and helping us embrace it. We are forever grateful and will definetely recommend Flashpacker Connect!

We had an amazing tour with Beker, Mario and Abel to Rainbow Mountain. The weather was not too good but Beker knew when to start hiking in order to get the best possible view at the summit. You will notice that the tour with Flashpacker Connect is more expensive than other tours - in return you get a really small group (in our case just the three of us), the best communication with the company before the trip, a friendly, funny and professional guide, a great driver, a very safe experience (no rush to get to the top and the guide is carrying oxygen just in case), a delicious lunch consisting of many different dishes that you get to choose from and most importantly, amazing memoires of this beautiful place on earth. We want to thank the whole team for making our day so special, especially Beker and wish them all the best. Would totally recommend and if I ever come back to Cusco, I will do more tours with them.

LeAnn reached out right before we boarded our flights with changes to our Original Rainbow mountain 1 day. Due to local community conflicts, we opted to change our 1 day tour to Tres rainbow according to LeAnn’s recommendation. She was very patient and creative in ways to workaround changes since our first booking pre-COVID.

My husband and I were the only two on the tour that day. Jacob, our guide, Met us at our hotel at 3am in the morning and we went on the most breathtaking walk I could have imagined. Seeing the Rainbow mountains itself was great, but I have to say we were most impressed by the quiet wilderness throughout our hike more than the destination itself.

Jacob took such good care of us throughout the hike. Constantly checking on our breathing, our pace, and oxygen levels. He was also the best photographer and videographer we could have asked for. Thanks to him, we have many photos to remember our trip by. We also loved how much Jacob was passionate in sharing about the culture and history of Cusco and the Inca’s.

Flashpacker came highly recommended from a friend of ours, and they definitely did not disappoint!

I feel really lucky to have gone on this day trip. It was everything I could have asked for.
Albert was our tour guide and you should ask for him. He was so knowledgeable about the area, answering all the questions we had. He was patient with those in our group who had problems adjusting to the high altitude hike, taking frequent breaks for pictures so it seemed like it was all part of the plan.
We also got there before anyone else and had the entire mountain to ourselves till the hike down.
He carried oxygen, however no one needed it.
Our driver David handled tight roads without breaking a sweat and as someone who can get car sick easily I was so thankful to be in the hands of a professional.
They also serve you so much food; breakfast, snacks, and a giant lunch. I was so full.

Afterwards, Albert taught us a Peruvian game called Frog.

This was my favorite day in Cusco. I smile when I think about it.

First off I have I have to say our tour guide Joaquin really made this trip. He is not only super personable, but very knowledgeable when it comes to the trip and surrounding areas. Yes this trip is on the higher side, but if you take any of the $30 treks around Cusco you will quickly understand why.

If you're like me and you're going to take photos the excursion get you to rainbow mountain first. Which is absolutely necessary once you see the horde of people coming in after you've already finished taking photos and doing it at your own pace!

Joaquin was super patient with me as I was taking an absurd amount of photos and let us go at our own pace! the food was great both before and after the bus was very nice and they provided blankets, so getting to wake up at the beginning of the trek was super great.

Finally don't forget to enjoy the actual journey, the drive in through the valley is gorgeous. but the actual walk up to rainbow mountain is just insane. which I find it crazy no one talks about. Yes Rainbow mountain is spectacular but don't forget to marvel at the glacier on the left or the alpacas running through the fields. It's actually jaw dropping!

To wrap it up make sure to request Joaquin!

We had the BEST time visiting this unique and gorgeous corner of Peru with our guide Joaquin. Out hotel pick up was right on time and we never felt any stress. I struggled a bit with the very high altitude and Joaquin was carrying oxygen which I used for a few minutes and then felt great again. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our driver Mario did an excellent job and Chef Mario prepared us a wonderful and tasty meal. This was money well spent on an amazing adventure that was very well orchestrated by Flashpacker connect.

This day trip was amazing! We had Jacob as our guide and we had a great time with him! He is very kind and attentive, always checking how we were feeling with the altitude. He is very knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions. Our driver was Mario and he was great, it is not easy driving those small mountain roads. We even had a chef who cooked breakfast and lunch. The walk, landscape and mountains are beautiful, the long drive was worth it!!!

We booked a private Rainbow Mountain Tour and it was AMAZING! We left really early, around 2;30 am in a warm and comfortable van from Cusco. They provided blankets for us to sleep on the 3 hour drive and when we arrived we were the only people there! Flashpacker provided coffee, light breakfast etc...then, we started our walk/hike with our guide. It was truly unbelievable to have the place to ourselves all the way to the top! Just us and some alpacas racing each other to the top! On the hike down around 9 am, the mobs of people were coming! We felt so happy to have had such a magical experience all to ourselves thanks to Flashpackers impeccable planning.. We had a lovely sit down lunch on the way back to Cusco and it was all perfect!

Had a wonderful experience going to Palccoyo from Cusco using Flashpacker Connect. Joaquin our guide was great as was Mario our driver and Mario the chef. They were professional and really gave us an authentic experience - we on time to pick us up, discussed the culture, and Mario cooked authentic homestyle food for breakfast and lunch. My 11 year old daughter had a bit of altitude sickness when hiking Rainbow mountain and Joaquin was great and very patient with us. We had a great time and I highly recommend this group if you are planning a trip to Palccoyo.

We did the Tres Rainbows hike and added on the Incan bridge. We originally planned to do Rainbow Mountain, but unfortunately is closed the week we were supposed to go. Flash Backpackers was great with quickly emailing us an alternative option and including a private chef (Mario, his food is great!!).

Joaquin was our guide and he ensured we were on time and taught us all about the local culture. He also always made sure to pull over for any cool photo opportunities and bathrooms. Super kind, knowledgeable, and friendly guide.

I’d highly recommend doing this tour if rainbow mountain is closed. Do note, it’s almost 10 hours of driving if you add on the Incan bridge. However the scenery is beautiful the whole way.

Organization of the trip was good: quick answer on the emails, good English. The team of a guide, driver and cook arrived early on time. It was a safe drive, tasty food, good conversations. Guide Joaquin spoke excellent English. Mountains are beautiful, very few people around. Definitely worth visiting.
