Couples trip to the Troodos mountains and other places .
Well, what can I say amazing, brilliant the best day of our holiday. Bambos picked us up from our hotel at 08.00 am and off we went to start our trip. We saw some amazing views of the Troodos mountains a copper mine full of beautiful water also picked up some crystal pebbles and a speck with gold in it. We visited a fantastic lake where Cyprus gets some of its drinking water, and we visited a winery just what the doctor ordered the tasting was really nice and we purchased some souvenir drinks to bring home. The visit to the waterfall was stunning the church was amazing it's a must-do trip if you're in Cyprus but the thing that made the trip was our wonderful driver and tour guide Bambos he was so knowledgeable and an excellent driver. Thank you so much for a fabulous day would recommend to anyone Bambos your the best . Lorraine+Phil England

        Day to remember
We booked this as the weather was a bit “iffy” so wanted to get out and see some of the local sights. Bambos collected us from our Hotel bang on time and went on to collect 2 more groups, ending with 9 of us in the Land Rover. The whole day was fab, Bambos’s driving (and LOVE of rental buggy drivers & hire car drivers) was excellent, especially the overtaking of any “NORMAL” vehicle that dared to get in front of us on an off road track & deliberately hitting some “bumps” to the cheers and shrieks of kids & adults alike in the rear of the jeep. I was fortunate enough to get the passenger seat & my wife & 2 teenage daughters the 2nd row, so we had a great view of every route taken. The stops were great, never more than a 10 minute drive between them & ample time for pics etc at every stop - we were never feeling rushed, in fact, the total opposite…. Bambos encouraging us to take our time & enjoy the locations Swim stop in Konnos Beach was awesome, as was the last planned stop at the “Church which is a cave, or the Cave which is a church” as Bambos described it. We even got an extra stop on route back, as there was a stunning sunset to see, Bambos volunteering to take “family pics” for us to capture the end of a memorable day.

        Not worth it
Advertised as a Jeep safari it was a really old land drover was really uncomfortable my mum struggled to get in and out of the ‘Jeep’ tour guide was lovely but next time I don’t think we will book a full day one when sat in the back was no air at all we was cramped and when on windy roads felt sick my mum even was sick for 80 euros per person it wasn’t worth it

Experience you need to go on but remember it's off road driving. It WILL be bumpy and twisty.
Got picked up right from my accomodation. Drive was amazing, the scenery spectacular, lunch was beautiful and worth the money. It is bumpy and twisty roads, but part of the experience.

Beware of booking any tour with TRACKERS EXCURSIONS!!
We booked a private trip for 700 euros. out of the 7 attractions in the brochure, we reached 2. They sent a driver and not a guide, who didn't even know the way. It was a long boring ride, and a terrible waste of a day

        Jeeps, Caves and Beaches…Such Fun!
Today we had the best jeep tour with Tony. I wasn’t sure what to expect and this was not my typical tour but what a memorable day! Tony was informative throughout the day and also took into consideration, the preferences of those in our small group. Because Tony started our tour by 8:00 we were the among the first groups arriving at all the sites so no crowds. As a guide Tony shared his passion about his homeland, overviewed history and shared great information. He assisted those in our group who needed assistance AND was fun and funny making for a great day. This tour is well worth the investment and if you take the tour, ask for Tony’s Jeep! Loved this tour.

Beware of booking any tour with TRACKERS EXCURSIONS!!
It is the first time ever that I write a very negative review on any tourist service provider. Usually, I'm very happy to give very positive reviews. This time, a shocking experience with TRACKERS EXCURSIONS, made me give a very negative review. 1.On 28/9/2024 we booked the Mini Off Road trip privately for 12 people for 1/10/2024, and we paid a high and full amount of 700 Euros, without asking for or receiving any kind of discount. We told an agent who sells the trip, in advance, before booking the trip, that the vehicle should be able to carry, in addition to people, 3 medium-sized suitcases + 6 trolleys. 2. We received a brochure detailing 7 attractions that the trip would include, and we were told that the driver is a professional guide. 3. On 1/10/2024, The driver arrived 15 minutes late, and when he realized that we had luggage, he was very nervous and angry, and said that he was not told about the luggage. 4. When we started traveling, the driver told us that he was not a guide but only a driver, and at first, he was very unfriendly to us. What's more, he didn't even know his way around and my daughter helped him throughout the day with navigation with google maps. 5. When we arrived at the first attraction, the monastery, the driver said he remembered that that day was Cyprus Independence Day and he thinks the monastery is closed. Luckily, we arrived just before the place was closed. 6. Of all the 7 attractions listed in the brochure, we were actually in only two places: the monastery and the souvenir shops of Lefkare. 8. That day was very very disappointing and made us all very upset. 9. We tried to respect the driver and also gave him a tip, because basically we couldn't do anything to change this day, and we were depended completely on the driver to bring us to the airport for our return flight. 10. We chose to go on such a trip only because we were assured that there would be a professional guide and we would visit all the attractions according to the brochure. 11. We wasted a precious day, when we could have gone on another trip with another firm that delivers what they promise, and because of that trip, we were all very disappointed on the last day of our stay in Cyprus. 12. We ask the company , at least, to get a refund of the amount we paid, as they cannot give us back the wasted day, and certainly not the bad taste on our last day in Cyprus. 13 The company refused and wrote us all kind of excuses for all this shocking tour, part of them, I'm sorry to say, were sheer lies. So -Beware of booking any tour with TRACKERS EXCURSIONS!!

        Troodos with Toni
Just back from an amazing holiday in Ayia Napa where we went on the Troodos jeep safari tour - Highly recommend! This is a full day tour but passed so quickly with our crazy tour guide Toni! He was very knowledgeable, answered any questions we had and an excellent driver.. even in the ropey moments!! He’s great fun all round!! Even better when his colleague John and his group joined us for a few stops - the pair of them bounce off each other like a comedy act 😂 This tour included lots of stops at interesting places and also a winery, which was an added bonus as we didn’t realise this was part of it! See you next time! From ‘The Scottish Twins’

        Fun jeep experience
The jeep safari was very enjoyable, the off road parts especially were fun. our guide ‘kleo’ was knowledgeable and friendly. Being a jeep tour, these things are not the most comfortable and cramped for a tour that is a long drive. There are obviously frequent stops where we all get out when we arrive at out first destination onwards which is around an hour when we can stretch our legs. I’m glad I did the tour, just a little uncomfortable on the knees by the end of the trip.

Lagoon trip, fully recommended as a lot of fun!
We went on the lagoon trip and it is fully recommended. It was an 8 hour trip but we all had so much fun that the time flashed by. John was our driver and guide, and he was very knowledgeable with all the history and details of everywhere we went. The off road driving was especially great fun. The swim in the lagoon was fantastic but flip flops are a must to get in and out due to the small strip of stones. Thank you John for a great time.

Fantastic trip in the Troodos mountains and fantastic guide
The Enchanted Lagoon trip to the Troodos mountains was the best day of the holiday by far. Our guide John, was full of knowledge, enthusiasm and fun (not to mention an awesome Jeep driver). Although we were out for hours, the day went by in a flash - there were no boring bits. Swimming in the Lagoon was amazing. Thank you John for a fabulous trip that I won’t forget

The tour was more of a "taxi ride" to the hotspots of the ghost town and the historic city of Famagusta than a "guided" tour. You could barely hear the tour guide in the second row of the taxi, and not at all in the third row. We had a much better guide in Nicosia.

Our tour guide was everything you would want for this trip. Arto knew the ropes backwards, how to get through border control easily, when and when not to take photos.

Pick up was on time, with Arto humouring us (when appropriate) and delivering the historical facts impartially and with such knowledge and passion that it felt, if I’m able to say, you were a little bit present with the people at this sad time in 1974…

Thank you Arto for a truly memorable, sad but also very enjoyable trip!

Fantastic tour by Atos, who picked us up from our hotel in Ayia Napa! He arrived early, double checking we had our passports ready for the tour. After the rest of the passengers were collected, we headed to the Famagusta cultural centre. Atos detailed the history of the region and towns, explaining the growth of tourism of modern Cyprus and what had happened in the last 50 years of the country.
Once at the view point museum, we watched a short 10 minute video giving us further insight into the troubles between Cyprus and Turkey. We then went outside to the viewing deck and looked through binoculars at the green zone/no man’s land.

We then headed to the checkpoint between Cyprus and North Cyprus where it was a short wait to have our passports checked. This went smoothly as Atos had already collected them from us. Once through the check points Atos explained more history of the area and his personal experience whilst working and living in the town as a young man. This was absolutely fascinating, as he detailed exactly what happened on the day Famagusta was bombed first hand and the history of the following hours and days. Once we arrived, we then took a stroll through the ghost town being told the history of what we were seeing. Although the tour was meant for less than an hour, Atos happily took more time to show us the streets and beach of the town. This was a lot more than we had expected and was brilliant. Atos answered all questions and more about the ghost town and was a perfect guide.

We then boarded to bus to the Venetian walls of Famagusta which was a short trip up the road. He gave us a brief history of the ruins and we then had an hour free time to explore on our own. This was more than enough to see the ruins, Othello’s castle, browse the shops and have a quick bite to eat from one of the restaurants by St Nicholas cathedral.

This was a brilliant tour and something that will stay with us for a long time. Atos was a perfect guide and exactly the person you want to show and explain Famagusta. You’ll be lucky to catch him in the next year before he retires.

Our guide was Athos, he was a great storyteller, taking us back to the beginning of the disputes, explaining and setting us in the right mood before he took us into the Ghost town.
The guided tour was full of personal experiences and stories. The tour would not have been as fantastic and fascinating without Athos. The best guide ever!

Last Friday, 5th April we went on a trip to the Ghost Town Famagusta. What a brilliant day it was. We were picked up on time by our guide Athos. We were very lucky to have this guy as our guide as he had previously lived in Varosha. He knew the buildings & the stories behind them. Athos also knew some of the owners of the various properties. This made our experience there even more interesting. Athos was a really nice, friendly guy, who gave us little tests to do. For example he’d say‘ find me Scooby Doo’ . We won’t spoil this for others who may be lucky enough to get Athos as their guide & experience his wealth of knowledge, plus his sense of humour. If you’re interested in the 1974 invasion, then we couldn’t recommend this trip highly enough, it was worth every penny. Thank you to Athos for a brilliant day. You get 20 points 🙂.

Interesting to visit a get a part of Cyprus history. You are picked up in mini bus. Driven to a community centre to see a short film. Rest room stop here. You then proceed to the border and through passport control of both countries. They don't stamp your passports. Drive continues a short distance where they park and you are guided round the Ghost city by one of the drivers. The driver explains a bit, bit he wasn't born when the invasion started so his dialog is from history books. After visiting the town we drove to a Turkish town where we had a stop for refreshments. Ask for the best coffee cafe to visit. You won't be disappointed

As it was out of season there was only our group on the trip, so we had the full attention of our guide, Athos. He shared his own experiences of what Famagusta was like before, during and after the troubles. It was very moving, but he also made it fun looking at all the shops, clubs and broken windows (you’ll understand if you take his trip!). We also enjoyed a nice break in the beautiful old town to get coffee and pastries and a few souvenirs. Huge thanks to Athos, Trackers and Love Ayia Napa!

We booked last minute for a trip to famagusta literally the day before and we’re sent clear instructions straight away which was really helpful. We had Chris as our guide for the trip to famagusta he was very informative and we loved the fact it wasn’t a huge group it felt more personal that being on a massive coach! Chris pointed out every little thing in the town we may have missed being in a big group. We loved the free time in the village looking through the shops too. Everything was so interesting we would definitely book with this company again!

Amazing experience. First heard about Verosha back in 2005, and never knew anything of the heartbreaking reality that it's people suffered.

Our tour guide had lived experience, spoke from the heart, and had a real passion for the story and the hardships. He guided us through the city, spoke at length about the buildings and many stories around us. Very impressed with the whole thing, really enjoyed Varosha.

This was the one trip I wanted to do while in Cyprus. My tour rep recommended this company so went with them. We were in a minibus so there were only 6 of us to one guide. We then joined up with 2 more minibuses from the same company and did the tour. Having 3 guide’s between 18 of us meant we had so much knowledge to draw on and the half day excursion was so interesting from start to finish.
