- lisahH8053DI00Excellent day outAn excellent trip to do , fantastic tour guide and it was the best experience we have had there , no negatives, just a really good day out getting to see the mountains and stopping off along the way to more stunning locations. Thank-you to our guide
- 779kavithah00Keep SafariHad a very nice experience with our tour guide Panayotis. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. We spent sufficient time in every stop and did not feel rushed. Overall a great way to spend our last day in Cyprus!
- jturn8600Very interesting Trip through the hills of Cyprus. We managed to book a last minute Enchanged Lagoon Safari on Fri evening for Saturday Morning. Chris our Tour Guide was very prompt at 7:45am on the dot, luckily we were the 1st pick up so my Dad who has trouble with his hips was able to sit in the front. The trip is in a Land Rover Defender which is a little snug, however with the off road part of the trip is the only vehicle suitable to be fair. The 1st stop was in shut down silver mine, before a stop at small Cypriot village for a traditional Cypriot Coffee... a Strong Sweet Espresso style coffee 😋. A couple of stops later Approx 1hrs after,we stopped at the Lagoon perfect for cooling off in the heat of the morning... I'd recommend dive shoes, aqua shoes, crocs, Plimsoles or something similar that will dry quickly but designed to get wet as the stones on the entrance are quite tough on your feet. But it was an amazing experience (could have happily stayed all day) The old village where we stopped for lunch was like going back 200 years with stunning views then the restaurant Wow Kleftiko was possibly the best I've ever had.. note lunch is an additional cost on the day trip but a family of 4 having main course and a drink came to €60.. which you can't argue with for the quality, but something to be mindful of Finally we stopped in Lefkara a beautiful picturesque village in the lower hills of Cyprus that proudly sell their fine hand stitched lace and hand made silver. The quality and craftsmanship is extraordinary. Next door is a coffee shop which sells beautiful pressed fresh lemonade 😋 . Very refreshing If you can bear with a long day in an un air-conditioned vehicle I would highly recommend the trip. Take plenty of water with you although there are a few opportunities to buy refreshments along the way. Chris the tour guide is polite, professional and a wealth of knowledge. Thank you for a wonderful and interesting trip through the Hills of Cyprus.
- Julianneantonsen00Great day out and great value for money! The perfect trip to get to know Cyprus and Ayia Napa, saw so many beautiful places and learned a lot about the history here. Our driver Adam was very knowledgeable, funny and friendly. Thank you so much for the trip, we had a great time! Regards Julianne & Hans
- Joanna B00OFF-ROAD with JohnIt was a great trip with our wonderful tour guide JOHN. It was full of stories ,interesting informations with a great offroad. We spend couple of hours talking, laughing and side seeing.
- Traveler4215469193600Wow, amazing experience XxAn amazing excursion, we got to see a lot of the places we wanted to, which we probably couldn't of on our own. Brilliant tour guide aswell, would definitely recommend Xx
- J2366RMnigelb00A Cypriot adventurerA great day out seeing the real Cyprus, up to the Troodos mountains which are worth a visit on their own. Swimming in the blue lagoon is a great stop to help cool down. Then on to visiting traditional villages, having a traditional Cypriot meal in a village traverna. The monastery visit was well worth it and on to Lefkara to see the hand made lace & silver jewellery. The day was made enjoyable by our driver/guide John who was knowledgeable & friendly. If you want a day away from the touristy area and see the real Cyprus this is recommended for you
- Gabi20_1100The best experience in/of CyprusWe had the most amazing experience during this tour - it was the highlight of our 10 days in Cyprus. If you have little time and would like to understand more about the country and its people, this is the tour to go to. Our guide, Adam, was the best: he was very knowledgable, friendly, funny and witty. He could not have done anything else or more to make this trip more enjoyable. Reading other reviews, yes, the jeep (sorry, LandRover:-) ) did not have A/C but we could open the windows. Sitting in the back of the jeep was not like sitting in a comfortable carseat but it was really fun bobbing about there when driving through uneven terrain. And there was a lot of those. And we loved it! Thank you, Adam, for this unforgettable experience!
- nataliapV5434HO00ExcellentReally nice trip, we enjoyed it :) our tour guide was telling us stories about every stop we took. 100% recommend
- mikl_sn_j202300A unique experienceChris, our guide was kind and polite and did his best to make the participants feel good. He knows a lot of interesting stories about the wonderful places we visited during the tour which made the journey unforgettable. The back part of the jeep is not so comfortable indeed, but if the passengers change their places, it does not make a problem.
- 151raduc00Bad /tough experienceJeep are too small in height, person less than 170 cm fit in the back but taller are hitting the ceiling/rooftop.Air conditioning are neededGood driver, Nice waterfall, good wine
- 292kyral00Fantastic ExperienceMy partner and I did the Troodos Mountain Jeep Safari with Adam in May this year. For anyone who wants to learn about Cyprus and have fun this is a MUST! Adam was a fantastic guide and we had so much fun! We got to see so many different parts of the island and had such a great time on the off road parts of the tour. We even enjoyed lunch in a restaurant up in the mountains. Overall a 5 star experience and I would recommend this tour to anyone, who wants to visit Cyprus.
- Travel6701420444300Best day ever THANK YOU ADAM! 1000% recommendThe day was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Our driver Adam picked us up from outside our hotel right on time and was extremely welcoming, friendly and funny! This made us feel comfortable from the minute the tour started and we knew we’d enjoy spending the day with him. We decided to book this tour as we wanted to see some more of the “historical” or less touristy side of Cyprus - this tour was fantastic for this and was worth every Penny. We visited many different sites, many that tourists don’t know about, so the places we visited were authentic, beautiful and peaceful - we managed to get some lovely photos. The drives between each site we visited in the jeep were fun as we saw amazing scenery along the way - it’s worth noting that the ‘safari’ ride in the jeep can be a bit bumpy at times when you take short cuts through dirt tracks etc. but we actually loved this and Adam made this all part of the fun!! We had a delicious lunch in a beautiful little village with all home-grown produce which was very special. Throughout the tour, Adam was amazing at talking to us about the fascinating history of the places we visited. Without spoiling too much, the tour overall was phenomenal. Not only was this the best day of our holiday, but one of the best days of any holiday we’ve been on. If you’re looking to see more of Cyprus and it’s history, drive right up into the mountains, swim in a beautiful fresh water lake, eat some delicious food and get some fab photos we couldn’t recommend this tour enough - we felt it was worth every Penny and was the highlight of our stay in Cyprus. One final thank you to Adam for making our holiday so special. Thank you !!!
- 130harrieta00John was brilliant - an excellent tour. Highly recommended. We had a brilliant day and John was a really excellent guide! Highly recommended. The locations visited on the lagoon tour were all great. And john was so knowledgeable and interesting. The only slight suggestion I’d make is that it would be even better if you compromised one place and if in the very back the back was 3 normal sets instead of 4 tiny low ones with no leg room as everybody in the very back was quite uncomfortable (may have been ok for young kids but not ideal for young adults and adults) but the 4 of us on normal seats were very comfortable! And whoever gets picked up first gets the first choice of seats. This change would mean a tour for 7 instead of 8. But having said that we are all still happy to give this 5 stars!
- primephoto00Troodos Mountain Jeep Safari with room for improvementsOverall a nice tour with some details that could be improved, you will be a part of one group in a Landrover Defender. There is room for up to 10 passengers, we were 9 in our group. This group will then follow a time schedule for a big caravan of Defenders, we were about 7 jeeps. When we were up in the beautiful Troodos Mountain, we could not stop at the nice viewpoints with a over view of the valley at all since we were told that we need to keep the time schedule. This was of course very disappointing to just pass the stops. The lunch was overall ok with nice wine and good sallad and a main course of various grilled meats, we only got one small plate of tzatziki for us 9 in my group. When we asked for more the reply was that personnel were not allowed to bring more. The return home was fast, maybe to fast with up 130 km/hour on the highway. The Defender are great Jeeps for offroad conditions, not racecars on highways. I guess that this also can be an issue of a to tight time schedule for the drivers? However, our driver is a great and helpful guide I still recommend this jeep safari, maybe Aeolos Cyprus Travel Ltd read this and have the tour improved when you participate.

This was the one trip I wanted to do while in Cyprus. My tour rep recommended this company so went with them. We were in a minibus so there were only 6 of us to one guide. We then joined up with 2 more minibuses from the same company and did the tour. Having 3 guide’s between 18 of us meant we had so much knowledge to draw on and the half day excursion was so interesting from start to finish.

Picked up at our hotel by George the tour guide who was very friendly & informative throughout the trip. Firstly we stopped at the view point, we did not see the short film as the building was closed due to holiday. We then continued over the border where one side was occupied by Turkish and the other was fenced off with no inhabitants. We then entered Varosha “the Ghost Town” which was very poignant to walk around and listen to the history of a once thriving beach resort with the first 5 star hotel. Afterwards we drive the the walled city where we had an hour to explore on our own. Peter Cafe on the corner is a lovely traditional place to stop for a coffee & cake. This tour is definitely worth doing.

Chris The tourguide was a really nice guy, with lots of knowledge both about the area and the conflict. It was crazy to see how fast nature takes over when buildings and streets are abandoned.
The tour was carried out in a small 7 seater mini bus, and thanks to that we didn't feel like we where a big group of tourists.
Even our kids at 12 and 15 years old really enjoyed the tour.

The trip was led by Chris who was very informative, friendly and helpful. It was my first visit to the town since 1968 when I had lived there as a child. It was an emotional experience to see buildings I had frequented in such an abandoned state after all this time. Chris and the other guides all had family who had experienced losses in the town after the invasion. They shared their stories and made the town come alive again for a short while. A really valuable experience to remind us of the futility and waste of war. I highly recommend this trip if you are interested in the history of the island.

Went as family of 5 (youngest aged 8) to visit ghost town. Half a day, so perfect amount of time for us. Dimitris was our driver and guide and was absolutely brilliant. My son loved him but was also v informative for the adults. Fascinating trip. Booked trackers excursions through trip advisor and would highly recommend.

This was an excellent half day tour to the Famagusta Ghost Town and Old Venetian town. George our guide gave us so much information and insight as to how life in Famagusta was before the Turkish Invasion in 1974.
Then we had free time to explore the old Venetian town.
I highly recommend this excursion.

We were picked up on time, with a very friendly and careful driver George.
We visited the tower over looking Famagusta where we saw a film and heard the explanation regarding the invasion by the Turkish government, in 1974.
Previously the Greeks and Turks had lived quite happily with their neighbours.
We walked through the ghost city, which for us was particularly poignant as my husband had been stationed here in 1966 In theRAF.
George gave us a complete rundown as we went through the check points, and we had our passports checked.
After the walk we had time to spare in the now Turkish area, where we were left to roam for an hour, or visit the castle.
We enjoyed the trip, and would thoroughly recommend.
Thank you George a very entertaining tour guide and an excellent driver.

I can only recommend Red Bust. They were very helpful even at the booking stage, answering all my questions. They also informed me about all important information during the trip. Everything went smoothly. The bus arrived on time and we arrived back on time. Varosha was an unforgettable experience. We rented a bike, but you can walk around the whole area in 2 hours.

Excellent informative tour of this ‘ghost town’ and the history behind the 1974 occupation. Quite a surreal experience. George our guide and driver was great. Only up to 8 people per tour rather than a coach load. Would recommend.
