- 1In just 90 minutes Yahava will take you around the world on an incredible ‘Taste Adventure’ and deliver you back in one piece. They will walk you through their world of coffee and then you help them roast a batch. In a hands-on approach you will learn to brew their current Specialty Estate through 3 different methods and understand how to taste it. To finish, you take home the very coffee you helped to roast. Above all they will help you discover a coffee you really, really love.
About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- adiandsherri0 contributionsAbsolute disgusting finish to what started a fun experience. What started as an amazing experience and tasting with an exceptional staff member (I give her 5 stars) turned unpleasant when we went to purchase $150 worth of products! Our helpful staff member (who ironically is also from Adelaide and understands customer service) asked the barista to offer us a free coffee due to the amount we were spending where she was told by the tall male barista that he would not give it to us as we bought the wrong cups!! The dialogue that followed was embarrassing and made us feel like we were begging for a coffee! I commend our lovely staff member who managed the situation with grace and courtesy however due to the behaviour of the tall male barista I will never EVER recommend this place. This is not about not getting the coffee instead this is about the shocking customer service by the barista. Our word of mouth marketing will cost you more than a cup of coffee!! Shameful!Written April 21, 2021

- Richard T0 contributionsMore than just a cup of coffeeWatch coffee beans being roasted, and informative posters and narrative a bout coffee. All the staff are enthusiastic and there is plenty of equipment and information to review while you wait for your coffee. You can buy coffee beans and have them shipped as well. The building is quite quirky as well! Oh, and the coffee is great. Plenty of parking, and there is a drive through.Written December 12, 2019
- Foodgloriousfood880 contributionsSlightly disappointedCosy retail and cafe space. There were some interesting goods to look through and purchase. Well kitted out as a coffee roastery. Fresh coffee always smells amazing. We did not go for the coffee safari as we weren’t too keen on signing up for a 90 minute tour. Just went to have coffee. Ordered piccolos and had to explain what it was. Whilst the coffee was not bad, but it was not a great one. It’s reasonable to expect good if not great coffee from an attraction which calls itself coffee works and organises coffee discovery tours and also serves as a coffee roastery. Ham and cheese croissant was more enjoyable than the coffee.Written October 29, 2019
- rossa8340 contributionsCoffeeExcellent coffee/tea shop. Well priced freshly roasted beans, multiple varieties to choose from. Also enjoyed a flat white (although a little too hot and burnt my mouth)Written September 25, 2019
- Cheryl S0 contributionsA must see and doAmazing staff who eagerly assist and offer tastings of their vast teas, coffees and chocolates. A mist do when in Margaret RiverWritten September 4, 2019
- Nickaz750 contributionsBest coffeeFor the best coffee this is the place to go. The iced coffee is to die for. We bought a bottle to take and a couple of take aways.Written September 2, 2019
- LadyHAS0 contributionsEverything Tea and CoffeeThis large venue with indoor and outdoor seating is worth visiting for all the paraphernalia to do with tea and coffee. It is an excellent place for coffee, for buying beans and leaf tea and as a cafe. You can even do a tasting. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.Written April 14, 2019
- MrSloth0 contributionsVery good coffee and shopHad some great coffees (espresso, flat white, soy cappuccino) and babychinos here. Well made, choice of 3 beans and mostly friendly service. Shop is packed with a variety of beans, loose leaf teas and coffee accessories. Losing 1 star on this occasion for dirty toilets I’m afraid.Written April 14, 2019
- carylh20190 contributionsGreat coffeeHas a great variety of coffee as well as tea. Staff know their coffee and very helpful. Plenty of nik naks to buy. A really cool place to see. You can also do a coffee tasting and find out more about the different coffees. Inside there is also a coffee and cake shop. While there, also visit Temper Temper and Vasse Virgin, you won't be disappointed. A really nice spot to stop.Written March 18, 2019
- Kirsty R0 contributionsBest coffeeI visit Hahaha almost daily! The coffee is SO great, and the staff are ALL amazing!! I also LOVE their mobile app. My 4 month old hates waiting in a still car while we wait in the drive through (which is actually very sick anyway), so pre ordering and getting moving again is awesome! Thanks gorgeous humans for my dirty chais xxWritten August 28, 2018
- Cameron H0 contributionsFabulous drive through coffee and mint hot choc!!!We stopped in the drive through here on our way home. My wife said the coffee was really good and I ordered the mint hot chocolate which was really something specially. The staff were excellent too and even gave me an extra marshmallow with my hot choc so that I could give one each to our two kids. Highly recommendedWritten July 16, 2018
- 2018Emer20180 contributionsBest coffee and babychino aroundI always drop in here or in the swan valley when passing. Take away coffee is beautiful and the coffee bean selection is amazing. Knowledgeable and helpful staff and the place smells delicious!!Written July 6, 2018

The first part of the safari was a 5 minute trip through what Yahava has to sell. Then went to the coffee roasting machine and, despite the description saying "help us roast a batch of coffee", we just stood around while the Yahava staff did it.
The description also said " Sample coffees, chocolates and other delights from exotic lands and far away places". We sampled coffee and tea but no chocolates.
The tasting also included a demo of other various coffee making implements that Yahava sell.
Also, despite the safari description saying "...take home the very coffee you helped roast" we did not get the coffee we watched being roasted.
On the plus side, the staff were really good and very knowledgable.
In summary, for almost $80 per person, this is extremely poor value for money. It should cost at most $30 for what the safari involved.

I would recommend this to anyone who likes or is interested in coffee. The roaster was professional, courteous and knowledgeable in all things coffee. I asked a few tricky questions and he(Tarn) was more than happy to answer these as we roasted and tasted coffee. Thoroughly enjoyed this.
