Please meet the Margaret River Surf School van at Redgate Beach Car Park 10 minutes prior to your lesson commencing.

I had an unreal experience with the Margaret River surf school from start to finish. Enthusiastic coach with great coaching directions helped change me from a complete beginner who’s never surfed before to being able to stand up on a board. I also gained the knowledge of staying safe on Australias coast when swimming/surfing solo which is going to be so beneficial. Would highly recommend this company if you want good fun and to learn a new skill. Thanks again for a brilliant 3 days

I took my Outdoor Education students down for a 3 day surfing camp which included using Margaret River Surf School as the instructors and suppliers. They were fantastic with the students and taught the skills of surfing in an enjoyable and engaging way. The equipment provided was excellent and the safety for all involved was always of importance and reinforced by instructors at all times. I would highly recommend Jarrad and the Margaret River Surf School to any school group who is looking at using an external provider in Margaret River. Thank you and we will see you again next year.

In 2 hours, Matt had my not-so-confident 11 year old daughter (who rarely goes to the beach) riding the waves and actually standing up on her board! He was very patient with her and you can tell he enjoys his job. She now can't wait for her next lesson! Thanks so much Matt!...... I would recommend this experience to anyone!

First impressions/experiences are always really important, because it something goes wrong you may not do it again...and it would be a pity if we talk about surfing!!
Our first experience has been so great! Matt taught and encourage you to do it better and better. His passion for the sport is contagious, we really love surfing now!
We will keep practicing and for sure we hope to come back soon

I booked this for myself and my boyfriend as part of our trip down to Margaret River.
I am not a confident swimmer, and typically I try to avoid the ocean. Both the instructors were caring, considerate and supportive throughout.
Even as a complete beginners, with the help of the instructors, we were both able to stand up and had lots of time to practise.
The experience was thrilling, fun and I would not hesitate to book this experience again and again.
It was the highlight of our trip

We were a group of 7 friends of varying beginner abilities - did the 2 hour group lesson.
Matt was a fantastic instructor. Clear instructions on the beach about safety and technique but we were quickly in the water at Redgate catching waves.
Matt was so encouraging and gave great tips. He made the lesson lots of fun.

Fantastic introduction to surfing. Great instructors with the right balance of structure and just giving it a go! All the equipment is provided, basics are taught then its straight into the water to get some waves! Great experience. Highly recommend these guys to anyone thinking about trying out surfing.

We did the 2 hour group surf lesson and it was so much fun. Big cheers to the guys for running the lesson. Went from not being able to get up in the white water waves, to being able to successfully ride the greenies into shore. Would definitely recommend for something fun and exciting to do down south.

I'm 63 and managed to get up on the board a few times on the first lesson. Great, supportive team on the beach and in the water. The equipment all looked in first-class condition to me (as far as I can tell as a novice). Recommended to newbies like me. It's got me interested in learning more when I get back to the east coast.

Myself and my brother did a group lesson with Bec. She described everything clearly and it didn’t take up too much time before we jumped on the board to practice. She ran through some great tips also, getting out past the waves.
We were soon in the sea. It was a rough sea, but she helped us all eventually and we all managed to stand up by the end of it.
At the end of the class, she even ran into the sea to rescue someone who got caught in a rip. A real hero, especially as Redgate beach doesn’t have lifeguards.
