Did the buggy tour with Alanna and had a blast! What an epic day out and such beautiful countryside to be able to ride in. How lucky. It's such a stunning location where they ride but particularly a very nice time of the year to go on the trip during Autumn, with the leaves all golden and orange. Wow, wow, wow. This is a fantastic value trip and especially good for families too. I loved getting to know the other family on our tour, their kids were laughing so much and loving their time too with big grins on their faces. We joked about the amount of dirt we ended up eating because we were grinning so much. If you're thinking about doing the buggies - stop thinking, and just do it. What a cool Queenstown thrill.

We had the best afternoon with Denis, making our way to Skippers from Queenstown. We loved listening to his tales from days gone by and his knowledge of the wider region was incredible. The journey to Skippers was awesome and will definitely be back on other adventures with these guys! Don't even bother looking at anyone else to 4WD with, these guys are the best.

One of the best tours we have ever done. Our tour driver, Scott, had a wealth of knowledge of the area, the history and the environment. We were delighted to see endangered kārearea (NZ falcon) and the vistas are stunning. Scott took the time to explain the history of the gold mining and had stories about the characters who lived and worked the goldfields as well as the origins of Queenstown. We can highly recommend this family owned tour company.

Scott was absolutely fantastic to deal with and he really went out of his way to make our experience the best it could be. The off road buggy’s were so much fun and the breath taking views were an added bonus. Highly recommend!!!

First trip to Queenstown and we booked this trip with 2 x 9 year olds and one 12 year old (& 2 adults). We all rated it best thing we did across the week. Peter was a terrific tour guide, giving us excellent & informative Lord of the Rings insights. Was cool to see the LOTR scene playing on the car iPad and then look up & there was the actual location. The excited screaming and squealing from the kids during the 4 wheel driving down the river near Arrowtown probably sent poor Peter deaf but he happily obliged to give us a few extra spins around the steeper parts of the river that sent the kids wild with happiness ! The free 40 minutes in Arrowtown was a good intro to the town and inspired us to go back later on to take a closer look. All up a really worthwhile tour highly recommended.

Me and Tuhoto-Ariki appreciate it a lot, your knowledge about the area was on point I event took away a few new information I can share with my family and friends. What an amazing tour. Pete did a fantastic job driving, giving us great info, showing us gorgeous spots, sharing LOTR filming stories and trivia, and overall providing a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Highly recommend this!

My wife and I had an amazing time today from a tour led by Pete. I am a huge LOTR fan, while my wife isn’t and she still had a great time. We saw the most incredible views and being able to see where the films were shot, made this an unforgettable experience for me. Pete was very knowledgeable, in big part because of his film background. Although he claims to not know a ton about sheep, he sure answered many of our questions so be sure to ask him all you want when he takes out out to Glenorchy. Pete has a great sense of humor and was a wonderful guide. If we hadn’t had a tour scheduled immediately following this one, I would’ve loved to buy him a few rounds at a local pub to keep the great conversation going. My wife and I are from the US and plan to come back to NZ as many times as we can. I hope we run into Pete in the future and if not, we’ll always think fondly on the experience we had with him.

This tour was a great way to see the areas surrounding Queenstown, with an added bit of adrenaline, hearing both the history of the area, as well as the different locations for some pretty awesome scenes from Lord Of The Rings. Our guide, Pete, had some good film industry experience, and was able to share some cool insights into the making of the films. Bring bug spray if it has rained recently.

While I am a Tolkien fan, my partner is not but we both thoroughly enjoyed seeing the many memorable movie scene sights. However, the natural wonders were equally matched by the friendly guide names Soap. Highly recommended.

Pete was an excellent guide, Pete's driving and knowledge was great and was a friendly character, highly recommended this tour even if you haven't seen the movies like us, our son enjoyed the off-road part and Pete was very good with him

We went on a quad bike tour with Ryan and Greeny. We enjoyed the trip right from the start when in the van on the way Ryan gave us a bit of a history lesson, very informative. The actual quad bike park was sensational. We had so much fun. Our 2 hosts were excellent. Let us have heaps of fun. Couldn't recommend doing this activity any more. Great fun.
