This was one of my highlights of my visit to Queenstown. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area— the view of the lake and surrounding mountains is absolutely stunning! Landing on a mountain in a helicopter is a surreal and breathtaking experience, and Alpine Adventures makes you feel very safe. They are prompt and efficient with their tours, and offer a helpful pick up and drop off from your hotel. A must do if you are in Queenstown!

My wife and I's first time in a helicopter and we had so much fun. Unfortunately we were not able to make it to Cecil peak because of weather conditions but were taken to another amazing vantage paint between Queenstown and Arrowtown which had some amazing views. The pilot did an amazing job and had complete control of the helicopter which made for a very smooth ride.

Awesome experience, our pilot Danny was really accomodating and friendly and took his time to make sure we all had the photos we wanted. 100% recommend. Recommend buying the photo afterwards as a nice token from the day

Hi there, myself Chrissy & my Sister & Bro-in-law had the most "Out of this World" helicopter flight on Sat 31st July 2022 at 3.30pm with an incredibly talented and fun witted Pilot Ben.
For me, it was my 1st ever flight in a helicopter (that had been on my bucket list since I was 40, 10years ago). Even though our flight was only a 30min adventure, landing on Mount Vanguard, it was an experience I will never ever forget!!! I was a bit emotional getting into the helicopter as I couldn't believe this was happening, it was so surreal. I feel so grateful & blessed that we had such an incredible human being to take us up there, Ben was so funny from the time we met him, THANK YOU Ben sooooo much for making my dream come true, you truly know how to do your job (so to speak) and have fun at the same time 🚁🚁🚁 😊

Highly recommend this amazing experience. Super friendly and professional team were great to deal with and even changed our booking time with very short notice. Our pilot Danny was friendly informative and just great chat in general and an awesome photographer to boot! Awesome experience and a must do when you visit Queenstown! An amazing experience, certainly worth doing. Our pilot, Scotty, was great and very informative. The views were stunning, even on a cloudy day and getting to land on the ridge was a real buzz. Loved the whole journey, which went far to quickly.

Friendly staff, excellent instructions on what the experience will be like, where and when to arrive sent via email at time of booking. The entire experience was fantastic. The engaging staff make the experience even better which is hard to imagine once you've seen the landscapes and glaciers from the helicopter.

My Husband and I did the 'pilots choice' option and even though I am terrified of flying am SO glad we did this. We got to do a landing and the views are like no other. The pilot did a great job as it was a bit windy and starting to rain. The way the helicopter lifted up and took off over the side of the Remarkables had me feeling like I was in a video game!

We booked on the alpine snow landing at NZD350 per person. This was mine and my partners first time in a helicopter. I am both terrified of heights and claustraphobic but I still found the ride really enjoyable. We tried to land at Coronet Peak first which had incredible views. However, it was too windy to land so the pilot flew us to a calmer Vanguards Peak. It was beautiful up here with lovely views of the snowy mountain peaks. We had a total of 20 minutes in the air (10 minutes there and 10 minutes back) and then about 10 minutes on the peak taking photos. While it doesn't sound like that long, it is plenty of time and doesn't feel rushed at all. Our pilot was professional and even took photos for everyone. An awesome experience for two first time flyers. My only comment would be that when wind does hit the helicopter it is really rough (far worse than turbulence on a plane as the helicopter is a lot easier to get thrown around) which can be a little freaky but through this turbulence the pilot was really comforting and calming. He was also able to predict when a roll of wind was coming which helped to prepare us for the jolt - incredibly, his predictions were always exactly right! In total of the whole flight there was probably a total of 10 - 20 seconds of turbulence, so don't let that put you off by any means!
