If you are going to Queenstown you MUST do the flight over to Milford sound with Air Milford. Best time of our entire NZ holiday. Simply amazing views of the mountains and the Sound that you will not get to see anyway else.

This trip was amazing. There had been a spring snowfall, so the mountains were spectacular to fly over. Our pilot passed on lots of information about the mountain range. Milford was beautiful. The boxed picnic lunch was tasty and Cruise ship spacious. I took so many photos, including waterfalls, Lion Rock. The captain pointed out a rare Fjordland Crested Penguin, dolphins were spotted closer to the Westcost mouth,and there were fur seals sunning themselves on a large rock. It was such a great experience. The flight back was a different path, so more glacial lakes, waterfalls and rugged mountains to photograph. Thank you to everyone at Air Milford. It was a very special trip.

From the moment our trip was confirmed early in the morning on the 14th of August, we knew we were going to have a very beautiful experience; however, I am lost for words on how great it was and struggle to find the right ideas to express on this review. The group was small to make the experience personal, my son got the chance to see the hangar and the Cesna planes from very close and he loved every single bit of it. The views and the places we visited are beyond what can be captured on pictures, simply breathtaking. Our pilot Thomas was extremely experienced and knowledgable, he was describing everything we were seeing on both sides of the plane. Milford sound cruise was very sublime, we have not been to a place this beautiful anywhere else, and we do not believe there is such beauty outside Milford Sound. The trip was the highlight of our visit to Queenstonwn and will definitely repeat the experience again in near future. Thank you Thomas, Mikayla, Sara and rest of AirMilford Team!

Absolutely brilliant day our pilot Emma was excellent great knowledge and extremely safe. The young lady at the front counter was friendly and provided great customer service as did Emma. I would highly recommend Air Milford and the fly cruise fly was a brilliant option. We would do it again for sure thanks again to the Air Milford team

We had an amazing trip today with Alex from Queenstown to Milford Sound. It was such a great day with amazing views. There was a little turbulence but, Alex assured that this was minimised as best as possible. I had a knee injury and the whole Air Milford team were so supportive assisting me to board the flight and make the cruise. I can not recommend them highly enough.

An amazing trip. Tim was a great pilot, very experienced and good knowledge of the area. The weather was perfect which you can’t plan for but it made it extra spectacular. Staying near Arrowtown it would have been a long day driving there. The flight option is worth it and then seeing Milford Sound by boat was also spectacular

I initially wrote a review of my family's recent experience. I was quickly contacted for more information than received a call from CEO, Hank. He immediately apologized and took responsibility for our experience, and took steps to make it right. Air Milford offers a shuttle service from Queenstown to Milford Sound in addition to sight seeing tours. We signed up and paid for one and basically received the other. Nonetheless, my opinion of the integrity of the company has changed in a positive direction as a result of Hank reaching out. They could have easily disregarded my review. But they chose to reach out in an effort to learn from what happened and attempt at making things right.

Stop searching and book this tour now. Hands down this was the highlight of our visit to Queenstown/New Zealand. We could not have asked for better weather with clear skies and no wind, while it was chilly on the cruise, the flight was smooth and scenic. We felt completely safe with Tom as our pilot. His cool, calm demeanor instilled nothing but confidence and he shared so many insights about the area. My husband was lucky enough to take the copilot seat next to him even. It was such a special experience. Flying over The Southern Alps, I felt like I could almost Touch the mountaintops. I’ve never seen such a beautiful landscape. And the cruise was smooth, with tea to keep us warm. The waterfalls and pods of dolphins were the extra special touches that made This tour magical. Everything pales in comparison and I am still processing what an amazing experience this was. Thank you for a memory to last us a lifetime.

The best day of any holiday ever, the views, the Captain of both the plane and boat as well as the people attending made this day by far memorable. The day started with a timely pick up from the Hotel in Queenstown. We then were provided a briefing of the aircraft operations before departure. Stunning views of the mountains, Queenstown and the Fiordland National Park as we made our way out to Milford. The boat cruise around Milford was lovely with a guided commentary, tea and coffee. The views and the general scenery was beautiful. We saw the Dolphins which was just fantastic. The Waterfalls and general environment was just so breathtaking. The views on the way back from Milford to Queenstown was just as stunning. I am one to rarely write reviews but if you get the chance to do this trip the whole day was just magical.

A superior experience from start to finish. The team at Air Milford were friendly, welcoming, professional, and made it all feel extra special. We’re so thrillled we decided to fly to the sound - the views were spectacular and our pilot Tim pointed out the landmarks, mountains, and special sights along the way. We even got to fly past a glacier coming home. An unmissable experience and worth every penny.
