What a wonderful experience. Charles was a wonderful host and his knowledge of the area was exceptional. This is one of the most spectacular parts of the world we have travelled to.

Charles is a gem! He is very knowledgeable, kind and has a complete sense of the land. He will show you the incredible stunning beauty of the region...really peaceful special places that will be ingrained in your mind forever. To boot, he is a former cow farmer, having access to endless fields of livestock with the snow capped mountains in the background. Charles is an endless source of information about the area, his home, that he loves for good reason. Anne T

Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with Charles. He gave an exceptional personalised tour & is both knowledgeable & passionate about the region. Having access to private properties made the tour that much more enjoyable topped off with afternoon tea, with a view that would be hard to beat!

It is hard to explain to to people how our tours are different to other often cheaper options available today....we enjoy having a distinct point of difference accessing private property and personal service!

We took a day trip with Charles to Milford Sound early in our 3 week trip to New Zealand. His knowledge enriched our entire vacation as he shared a lot of information in the form of memorable factoids, not only about the local area, but about every aspect of New Zealand including the country, geography, history, farming, wildlife, weather, plants and geology. He provided a great framework for our upcoming travels around the South Island.
Furthermore, he made the trip to Milford Sound stimulating and tailored the trip to our interests and the weather. For us, that means stopping to take pictures which are just irreplaceable. A tour with Charles is time well spent if you want to get the most out of your time in New Zealand and the Queenstown area!

We had a spectacular afternoon on the high country tour with Charles. He was very friendly, knowledgeable about the history, the plants, animals, geology and the sheep farming in the areas we drove through and we went to stunning places. There were stops to get out and look at areas of interest and to take photos so you were not just riding in the car for hours. Don’t hesitate, this is a great experience.

Charles was our tour guide (group of 6) for the day trip to Milford Sound and the experience truly exceeded our expectations. He picked us up bright and early in Queenstown and on our way to Milford Sound, we made several stops. The first one was at Te Anau where we got some hot chocolate at a local cafe and took in the awesome view from that town. Afterwards we stopped for some photo ops at several lookouts to the mountains that were blanketed in snow, fiordland, and a park with an impressive waterfall. When we arrived at Milford Sound, Charles directed us to our boat where we had special VIP seating and he sent us off with our lunches. The boat tour through the fiord was incredible and we got real close up and personal with the waterfalls. We were lucky to see dolphins and a seal sunbathing. After the boat tour, Charles was right there to greet us and take us back to Queenstown safely. It was a great especially because we had been roadtripping throughout New Zealand and it was nice to have someone else drive for the day. Charles was also great conversation and was very knowledgeable about current events, the history of NZ, and the agriculture. I highly recommend this tour!

Thank you for your review, you certainly encountered a cold winter day in Milford but the snow to low levels was incredible, even I had not seen snow to such low levels for few years.So pleased you had a great day out, it was pleasure to show you a special part of our country.

Took a half day high country tour with Charles. Visited working sheep ranch, LOTR movie sites, Glenorchy, Paradise, 4WD high country, and more. Charles is super friendly and knowledgeable and knows all the best photo sites to stop at. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our High Country Discovery tour from start to finish! The region itself has so much to offer-- the scenery is breathtaking and the tour provided the best opportunities to see it up close and take it all in. We were most interested in seeing nature's beauty and learning more about farming and the history of the region; we also had some interest in seeing local spots where parts of LOTR and The Hobbit were filmed-- this tour completely delivered on all of the above. Our guide, Charles, was professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and had the best sense of humor-- he made the tour entertaining and relaxing. We did the tour in the morning and had time and energy left in the afternoon to hike on a track that Charles had suggested (also incredibly breathtaking). Couldn't recommend this company more highly based on our experience!
