- makaylab65900Brent is the best tour guide/driver!!My brother and I absolutely LOVED every minute of our day tour with Brent, he went above and beyond to ensure we were running on time as we had passengers who didn’t show up to the pick up point. We ended up being the only two that were on the tour to Mt Cook National park, this suited us amazingly as we got the ‘personal touch’ having Brent and his wealth of knowledge re the surrounding area all to ourselves! The national park had been covered in a blanket of snow over night, and we arrived to bright blue clear skies with not a cloud in sight. We were able to complete the entire Hooker Valley track, which was just breath taking. Although the journey in the mini bus is long, I would do it all over again in a heart beat. Brent was attentive to the road and drove very safely, if I ever book again I hope Brent is the driver 😎 10/10 for the kiwi classics provided on board (Spring water, L&P, Whittakers choc and Copper kettles) plus all the kai (food) from Fairlie bake house! The lunch provided was far more than expected, we took it with us to Hooker Lake and ate it over looking the glaciers floating around (the lake was even frozen over!) 😍 Ngā mihi nui team from two Hauraki Māori who appreciated the little touches made, to protect our taio while showcasing the best parts of our country.
- Peijuan_Jiang00Amazing trip!It was a fantastic trip! Our original trip had been canceled by some accident, but they responded to it very quickly and then gave us a satisfactory solution, which is truly amazing. The tour itself was great, everyone enjoyed it including my little one. Our guide is very nice and interesting, he introduced a lot of funny facts on the way. At a point, we would like to finish the Mt Cook visit earlier, and my little one needed to go to the toilet again as she could not hold her pee when we just left the rest spot, our guide tried his best to look after everyone's needs. We greatly appreciate that. The view is lovely, the food is good too.
- Pioneer1302625967000Good and organisedAn amazing crew and a comfortable and organised trip. I really would recommend travelling with them.
- Tour1993322960200Very wholesome, safe and pleasant ride. Great for anyone who wants a memorable and fun journey!I really enjoyed being on the mini-bus with Will. His bubbly personality kept our bus engaged and made the whole journey enjoyable. I also appreciate the updates he'd give us on the way. The whole time, he was in control of the time and it didn't feel like we were rushing from one place to another. We had ample time to enjoy every stop, and we kept to the schedule tightly. This provided me with a very pleasant experience since there were no hiccups at all from the pick-up to every stop and the eventual drop-off. He had great control of the timings and drove very safely, giving us little informational bits about stories, the weather, the water, the landscape and the geography (Cookies and Cream). The vehicle was also pretty comfy! The pies at Fairlie were absolutely yummy. Loved it. Although I do have some little suggestions to add for an even better experience. - A round of introduction for each passenger could be a good start, between various groups getting to know one another better and contributing to a memorable tour. - Sometimes, the passengers aren't as responsible when it comes to keeping the vehicle clean. By carrying a mini-handheld vacuum while we attempt the Hooker/Tasman trail, the guide could quickly tidy/clean up the minibus before picking up the return passengers from Mt Cook to Christchurch. This would give the new passengers hopping onto the minibus a clean and pleasant experience as well. In my experience, the minibus was already pretty clean! However, one of the passengers at the back left quite a few chip crumbs on the seat which caused the incoming passengers taking the trip down to CHC to sweep/clean up after. - Windows could be cleaned prior to the pick-up every morning since passengers would most probably take pictures of the landscape outside.
- Rose E00A fantastic journey up Mt cook.It was an awesome journey with lots of beautiful sceneries to view and capture on camera. Will, our friendly guide was very informative and engaging. Thank you for a wonderful time!
- jeffreyfw202100Visiting heaven on earth, an absolute must excursion if you are in New ZealandWhat an outstanding trip and the driver/guide was truly a blessing as well. We will be back !! The side line stops where well planned and the entire New Zealand countryside was well within our reach from sunup till sundown. The people we met along the way were incredibly friendly and invited conversations to help us better understand the history and landscapes. Wells Done indeed
- Katlyn M00Great day trip to see some spectacular views of the South Island!Enjoyed this day trip to Mt Cook! Our guide Brent was friendly and knowledgeable. The stops were short but we were able to do a lot in one day.
- 694suzieb00Highly recommendedA stunning and fabulous tour with the most amazing views. Communication leading up to the tour was thorough. The actual tour ran seamlessly and to time. Our leader Brent was friendly, professional and knowledgeable and we felt completely at ease. He was open to all of our questions and you can tell he genuinely likes being a tour guide. Highly recommend this trip and using Cheeky Kea.
- margaretcW8734EM00Mt cook and tasman glacierWill (driver) was great had the most infectious laugh and was really helpful. Scenery was lovely. But whole day was very rushed especially trying to fit the walk in to get to see glacier. Then had to juggled all our lunch bags drinks on bus to eat lunch. While driving
- hamedshahverdi00Mt cook tour reviewNot worth the money you pay, you better rent a car and visit the place by yourself and enjoy more, you can stop and enjoy more rather be with a group. The guide waste lots of time puck up more ppl from a place on the way back and as a result we didnt have enough time to stop and enjoy while driver wanted to reach early
- Nomad5830850658200Awesome trip to see some of the wonder that is New Zealand. The tour was great and Will our guide did a great job providing the background and history of the area and kept us on track to see the sights.
- AroundRTO00Trip got canceled in the last minutes!Terrible! The trip operator canceled our tour in the last minutes after we booked the flights and hotels. Both were not refundable. The cancellation wasted our money and very precious time in NZ. Travel agency/trip operator should have informed us earlier or arranged another tour for us.
- sharketteno100Good tourTour was great with lovely scenery and Megan our guide was very knowledgeable and made sure our day was was a good one. The stop at Fairlie Pies for breakfast was just what we needed as the pies were just the best. The only thing that prevents me giving this 5 stars is the lunch stop at the Hermitage was pretty bad - long queues, long wait times, tables not cleaned, and the food was average at best (when you did eventually get it). They were obviously massively understaffed. This does not go against the tour operator, but they do need to come up with an alternative for the lunch stop. Perhaps a picnic type lunch would be better. Snack packs were provided which were welcome. Apart from lunch, the day was a long but good one.
- B5430XQkarenh00Beautiful Private Tour to Akaroa!Allen was waiting for us when we walked outside our lodging and greeted us with friendly smile and I knew we were in for a fantastic day. Allen did not disappoint. We had an amazing day of exactly what we wanted to do and see. He was very knowledgeable and a great story tell. We would highly recommend this tour company! Their attention to detail was spot on. Thank you for a great day!
- V8620OGlukef00Long day but totally worth it!We were picked up from our designated pick up point in Christchurch by Brent and didn’t look back! This trip has just got all the little things nailed with a snack box and water available on arrival, to free WiFi on board as well as regular stops along the way to reaching Mount Cook. It is a long day, being picked up around 6am and being dropped back around 7pm but it is totally worth it! I just want to add how good Brent was at the end of the day dropping all of the guests back at their hotels!
