I was a bit apprehensive about traveling with 3 children (5,14,15) but we had the whole bus to ourselves with 2 of the loveliest and most hospitable guides Gary and Nicole. They made our whole trip so comfortable with the added bonus of WiFi kept the 2 big kids quiet and in good moods. Gary and Nicole made sure we had a fantastic day from the best muffin in Geraldine, to snow fights in mount cook, to spectacular views through the whole journey, great conversations, and informative commentary. If you have limited time and want a great day to the lakes and mountains I highly recommend Maossie tours.

While seeing majestic Mt Cook, the Tasman glacier, and the turquoise waters of Lakes Pukaki and Tekapo alone can justify the trip, traveling with Gary and Nicole make the trip more than just getting from point A to point B. The stops along the way-going and coming-are perfectly timed and well organized. And their genuine love for the McKenzie/Canterbury region is evident in their voices as they share with you its history during the journey. It’s like you are traveling with family!

The Maossie Tours are very friendly, dedicated and professional, I was given hand sanitizer and snacks the moment I stepped into the Van, their van is super comfy with wifi and charging USB ports, and videos and music along the way. Gary is very knowledgeable and friendly guide and it has been a pleasant experience to hear all the history surrounding the region. The views along the way are absolutely stunning to see across a varied landscape, I had a great day enjoying the views especially on the 15 min and walking track to see the glaciers and lakes. The tour is Perfect for those to wish to travel to see Mt Cook and Lake Tekapo to tick off your bucket list, highly recommended.

This tour was amazing. Both Gary and Nicole were very welcoming and kind (it felt like I was traveling with friends), but they were also very knowledgeable about all the areas we travelled through. The bus was comfortable and modern and they have really thought of everything a passenger could need/want for this tour.
It's a very long day but definitely worth it for the incredible views at Aoraki/Mt Cook and all the stops along the way.

This was one of the best trips of my holiday in New Zealand, really friendly and well organised by Gary and Nicole the husband and wife team that own and run it. There were 8 people on my trip in a modern 15 seater van with air conditioning, USB charging, and good sound quality so the commentary was clear (unlike a couple of others I've been on); comfort and coffee/tea stops and a great buffet lunch were well planned. The large, clean windows gave great opportunities for photos as did the several stops. Gary and Nicole gave a good running commentary with video programs for added information. Quite a long day, pickup at around 8am and back at about 6pm but it's from and to your hotel doorstep, drinks and buffet included. I really enjoyed it, definitely worth the time and money.

Gary was a very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable host. The mini-coach was super comfortable, had Wifi and USB charging ports that was great for charging my phone after all the photos I took. It was lovely to have food and drinks provided which were yummy and well timed. As promised I was amazed by the incredible scenery from farmlands on the Canterbury Plains, braided rivers, mountain lakes, the snow topped mountains of the Southern Alps, to the highlights of the Good Shepherd Church on Lake Tekapo, Aoraki Mt Cook and the Tasman Glacier and Lake. It was a very long but full day with memories I will treasure. Thanks Gary & Maossie Tours

We had a great tour in the Aoraki-Mt Cook area with Gary from Maossie Tours. Gary is very friendly and knowledgeable, and took great care of us throughout the day. Though the weather wasn't the best, and Mt Cook itself was shy all day, we had a very pleasant day seeing great lakes and glaciers, hearing about the history of the region, and visiting small towns in rural New Zealand. I recommend it highly, because you get to see this part of the country close up, and you can take in the stunning views as Gary drives.

Having lived in the South Island of NZ all our lives, neither of us had been to the Hermitage or Tasman Glacier before. We had driven through the area and knew something of it, but the commentary Gary shared on many of the places we passed by was new to us and very interesting. It was great to sit back and and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
