Paddle Boat Cruise on Lake Rotorua including buffet lunch
Harken back to the bygone era of steamboats and luxury travel with a 1-hour breakfast or lunch cruise aboard the only paddlewheel boat on Lake Rotorua. This authentic replica of a Mississippi River paddle boat takes you to notable sights such as Sulfur Bay, Kawaha Point and Mokoia Island while you enjoy a buffet meal. A glass of wine, beer or juice is included with lunch.
What to Expect
Head to the Rotorua lakefront in the morning or afternoon, and board a Mississippi River–style paddlewheel steamboat, a unique replica that blends 19th-century elegance with modern comforts. This is definitely one Rotorua activity not to be missed!

Take a seat in the spacious dining room and indulge in a gourmet breakfast or lunch buffet made from the finest New Zealand–grown produce while your vessel gently plies the waters of Lake Rotorua. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine, beer or juice with lunch, or purchase a drink from one of the two bars available on board (own expense).

As your captain steers you in sight of Kawaha Point, Sulfur Bay and Mokoia Island, listen to informative commentary about Rotorua and its picturesque lake. After your meal, find a comfortable spot from which to appreciate the lakeshore’s lovely scenery, and be on the lookout for wildlife and plenty of photo opportunities.

Lunch with a view

Our allocated seating was deck level, but this still had a lovely view and spacious. Staff were very welcoming and courteous. Plenty of food; ribs, chicken, rice, potatoes, salad. Good choice of desserts and tea & coffee to help yourselves to. There was a running...More

Short lake cruise

This cruise is short and unfortunately lacked the commentary and scope we were led to believe was included. We opted for just coffee/tea and not lunch or dinner which was wise as a meal and viewing in this time would have been rushed.Other reviews talked...More

Great lunch cruise

A bit of a treat having lunch on a paddle boat. Buffet lunch was very good and we had a group of 5 Maori performers do a show. Amazing voices and passion for their culture
