You will never forget the truly unique and romantic once-in-a-lifetime experience of harvesting your own Australian South Sea Cultured Pearl. As you and your guest are treated to Margaret River sparkling and the rare delicacy of pearl meat, you’ll discover why the finest pearls in the world grow in Western Australia. We’ll take you on a journey of discovery from the history of pearling to the intricate practices of modern day cultured pearl farming.  You’ll then be invited to harvest your very own pearl, straight from its oyster. The value of the pearl inside remains unknown until the breathtaking moment its oyster is opened. Due to the nature of pearl farming, the value of the pearl is unknown until the time it is harvested. The pearl could range from $500 up to $3,000, and is yours to keep*! After the pearl has been harvested, you’ll be taken through the grading process and given the opportunity to have your pearl made into a stunning piece of jewellery.

      Experience of a LIFETIME!
Being a Pearl lover, finding the Harvest your own Pearl experience I knew I had to do it. Upon arrival at the Willie Creek shopfront in Elizabeth Quay, we were greeted by Sara with beautiful smiles. My Husband & I sat in the “expert booth” (with some lovely sparkling wine) to listen to Sara’s very informative facts on Willie Creek Pearl farm & how they came to be. While watching an awesome old video of how Pearling divers collected the Pinctada maxima, we were treated to a delicious tasting of the Pearl meat (incredible taste!) After learning a thing or two about how truely amazing the art of Pearling is, it was time for me to Harvest my own Pearl…! Once Sara opened the oyster, inside we found a cute little crab & she pointed out the main organs of the once living oyster. It was then time to hunt & POP out the Pearl. I am so thrilled I got to harvest out a very unsuspecting find of a 16mm Pearl! It was simply breathtaking to witness such beauty coming from the Pinctada maxima first hand. True to their disclaimer of the harvest your own experience, I was offered store credit to choose a beautiful piece of pre made jewellery, as the beauty I popped out had a significant value for Willie Creek Pearls. I can honestly recommend that anyone who loves Pearls gives the harvest experience a go. The information my husband & I took away from the session has given us a greater love for the beauty of this natural wonder of the ocean.

      Exceptional from start to finish!
The experience at Elizabeth Quay from start to finish was exceptional, the staff were informative, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The history of Willie Creek Pearls, the harvesting and how it has developed over the years was very interesting. We did the experience as part of our pearl wedding anniversary celebrations, the experience is something we will remember for many more years to come. The bubbles and canapés were also fabulous.

      Very informative tour
Due to weather effecting the access road we were unable tour the farm. The staff from Willie Creek were very quick to offer a refund and the option of the lugger tour. So glad we did the lugger tour very informative and interesting and a bonus was 15% of purchases. The staff couldn’t of been more helpful.

      A memorable experience
My birthday surprise recently was to experience harvesting a Pearl with Michael at Willie Creek Pearls at Elizabeth Quay. I felt so spoilt and Michael certainly made it a special occasion for me. He was detailed in explaining the history of pearling and the process which was very interesting. I was so excited when my Pearl finally emerged and it was absolutely beautiful. Thankyou Michael for such a great experience.

Harvest your own pearl experience - 3 generations
This was a Christmas gift for my mum who had travelled from the UK. A truly unique and very special experience for a Mother, Daughter and Granddaughter to enjoy being part of harvesting a beautiful WA pearl! We were warmly welcomed by Michael and the team, with a glass of sparkling wine, and then given a fascinating and knowledgeable insight into the pearling industry. The presentation was both interactive and engaging and Michaels enthusiasm and passion made it such a wonderful experience. It was very exciting to open the oyster shell and my mum was thrilled at the beautiful pearl inside, deciding to keep the pearl and have it made into a necklace. Michael and the staff were so attentive, patient and helpful when it came to choosing the mount and the chain which would best complement the pearl. I can't recommend this experience enough, The staff at Willie Creek Pearls made our day so special and memorable.

      Birthday gift
This was a gift for my wife. We found the experience fantastic. The surprise of opening the oyster is the best part of the experience as you don’t know what you are going to get. The history of the pearl harvesting was also great . We would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

Lovely Harvest Your Own Pearl Experience.
Loved the experience and we wanted to take along our 6yo to also partake and learn about the sea and oysters. Michael was very knowledgeable and included the child in the whole conversation and partaking of knowledge which was lovely so that she was not left out. The adults had sparkling and lovely treats to eat. This is really an eye-opener and the Harvesting Your Own Pearl experience is probably, if not, the best souvenir and memento when visiting Australia. My Little One treasures her little pearl so much now.

      Outstanding Experience
I was given this experience as a gift, it was absolutely incredible, Michael who did the talk and presentation was so professional and very informative. He explained the whole process and how intricate the work is. We enjoyed every moment and the surprise at the end was that you get to keep the pearl that you cultivate from your oyster, which makes the experience even more special. Highly recommended. Thank you especially to Michael your enthusiasm and friendly persona was outstanding

Fabulous tour from the pick up at our caravan park with Dave, filling us in on all the interesting bits of Broome and surrounds to the talk with Caleb, in the harvesting room and on the boat cruising the sample of an actual pearl farm to the morning tea of damper, choc cake and iced tea or coffee to the showroom where you can buy a piece of this Ausyraluan product. Amazing zmazing amazing worth every penny. A must do in Broome.

    What an amazing experience!

John picked us up from our hotel and then we collected others along the way. We set off along, what John described as “the Kimberley Back Massage Road” and arrived at Willi Creek Pearl Farm around 40 mins later. John was our ‘guide’ for the rest of our trip. We started off in the Nursery where he introduced staff members along with Paul the CEO and then proceeded to explain how the pearl farm had come about with the Banfield family who still own it and more importantly still work there.

We then went out onto the water. Saw Nigel (one of the resident crocs) and then to drag up some oyster shells to check on their wellbeing.

Back to base for the most divine lunch which we had prebooked with out tickets and which I highly recommend. We sat on the deck, overlooking the water enjoying ourselves along with a rather welcome glass of Chardonnay!

We all assembled again to ‘harvest’ the oyster that we had been given as a group at the beginning of the tour. High excitement when John gently prised open the shell to reveal ……. A beautiful 15mm pearl! Well it all looked beautiful to us, sadly it didn’t make the grade we were told.

Finally, a peruse around the shop, looking at the beautiful pearls. The Staff were not at all pushy for us to buy. They were just as happy as we all were admiring and asking questions. In saying this, I am the proud owner of a stunning pair of pearl earrings which I chose with the help of Kat in the shop (and hubby of course)!

Highly, highly recommend this trip. You will love it and come away with amazing knowledge of pearls and their environments.

What an absolutely amazing experience ... we did the drive to Willy Creek ourselves from Broome and found that the normal 3 km road was flooded so Willy Creek organised another route and marked up the drive so well .. thanks guys. We were a little early for the tour so spent some time in the shop looking at the beautiful pearls and jewellery designs. Stuart was amazing and full of knowledge, Lisa was fabulous in showing us the jewellery, and Matty was so interesting to listen to talking about how the pearls are cultured and the jobs that have to be done for the oysters/shells/ pearls. Do not miss out on this amazing experience .. I learnt so much during our tour, great morning tea provided, and also a fab kitchen/ cafe with great service.

Great tour. Entertained the whole family.
We self drove out, muddy red dirt road could prove difficult for some, but we were ok. Heard their tour bus got bogged on the way in - all part of the adventure!
We were stoked that my daughter was able to enjoy refreshments with us as the service supplied GF damper (!!) and chocolate cake alternatives.
Fran, our guide was able to answer all of the questions fired at her (our 10 Yr old mostly) and was a pleasure to listen to.
It was a great experience to learn about Broome's Pearling history and new developments as well.

Great day out and a must do when in Broome. Learnt more than I ever thought I would about the pearling industry. Tour was fun and very informative. Highly recommend booking the lunch. All staff very welcoming and accommodating. Can do the self drive with an SUV and not 4x4 this time of year, but check with staff before departure.

Easy and interesting drive in, warmly greeted and welcomed on arrival ….a great start when being a ‘traveller’
Tour was informative, easy to access and egress, Joe and Beau shared industry knowledge and the farm workings with ease and great humor.
The showroom staff were amazing as well, it was fun to try on some of their range in a a casual environment with out any pressure.
We elected to stay on for their paddle board lunch and enjoyed the food and ambience.
A great value day out for everyone, highly recommend this tour
