- tinacP4114TL00GramphineIt’s a super long drive, thank you so much Adam. Jayboy has a lot of knowledge on the culture and animals. Overall the tour is great.
- Frank W00Sleep walkingBoth the koalas and penguins did not disappoint. The driver was very helpful and gave great insight as how to view each the best way
- Live_to_travel202500Ok but not greatNice day trip outskirts. Cosy group size. The scenery however was blah. Appreciated the opportunity to do some walks and to the Falls. But the most disappointing was that we missed the Brambuk The National Park & Cultural Centre which was in the itinerary. Overall, nothing too great and somehow seems like there was nothing more...
- O7327AVmatt00Waterfall and kangaroosWonderful tour around nature with several stops on belvedere, we were lucky enough to have good weather and to see the kangaroos very close
- urminishatn00Great!Beautiful location, definitely recommended. Thanks Chris, the tour giude for ensuring a safe journey. The Grampiens is a go to place if you are tired of great ocean road. A lots of wildlife, nice town ( halls gap).
- Eamonn03196800Amazing driver but unfortunately very little snow. The driver Wes was amazing. He was very knowledgeable. Wes was a great driver. Very smooth journey. Unfortunately very little snow.
- T5012IZcharlesm00Our guide. The reverse tour did not make so we were moved to the regular day trip. Our tour guide was Wes. He was awesome and passionate about his commentary.
- Anna C00Snow DayReally fun trip! Sean was an amazing tour guide, sharing historic and cultural information in a very fun and entertaining way. He is also very approachable and friendly and would definitely wish to have him as our guide the next time we book
- Llana H00Koala sightingsIt was lovely to see the animals in their natural habitat but it was difficult to locate the few that are there.
- ElizabethF156500Beautiful and breathtaking day! This is a tour not to be missed! Every stop was filled with unbelievable beauty. Although it was a long day, it under too quickly!
- alicerH5200VJ00Thankyou Wes !Wes was a brilliant driver and host! Great music, comfortable bus, perfect amount of time spent at each venue. Thankyou!!!! Alice
- Elizabeth A00All in one stopWe had a wonderful time , love the snow , love waterfall stop and the chocolate shop . The bus driver was funny and very organised.
- Stay58207200Lake Mountain Your.Had a fantastic day. Chris was a wonderful tour guide and a safe and careful driver. Would highly recommend this tour. 🙂
- josiewashere00Jam-Packed Day Trip!Loved the day trip run by Craig and his furry friend Barry! It was jam packed with incredible experience such as seeing Loch Ard Gorge and exploring the Otway National Park, with the highlight of course being the iconic ‘12’ Apostles! Craig had plenty of knowledge to share and made an effort to know each of our names and have an authentic conversation. Even the food was great! Would definitely go again
- Nehavora12300Terrible communication and they ruined my one must see of my tripI gave them my contact info and I was at the pickup point from 11:55, which was 5 minutes late bc I was wandering around a giant casino/mall/hotel complex for 20 min looking for the pickup point. I was on a call with one of their people at the time trying to find the pickup point. At 11:55 I saw not one tour bus, I asked a valet and they tald me no one was waiting. I sent an email telling the company I was at the right place. waited at the designated location for 15 more minutes before calling them again. Their driver never bothered to contact me via text, phone, or email even though they asked me for contact info for that express purpose. Their agent claimed to have phoned me but I had no missed call or voicemail - and they knew I was there!. Why do they ask for contact info for the driver if they won’t even bother to text? This is the only time I have had an issue with a tour pickup in my over 30 years of international travel. Bc I chose this company over another one my one bucket list thing to do in Australia is now not possible. I guess theres a reason they are discounted so much more than other tours, When I called crying and upset they were more interested in my "tone" than helping me find a solution. Pick another company this one is not up to par. Yesterday I went on a day tour to great ocean drive with another company and it was excellent.

This was an absolutely fantastic day out. The scenery was as you'd expect, fabulous; but the experience was further enhanced by our exceptional guide, Tim, whose enthusiasm, knowledge, and ability to get the balance right between information download, entertainment, and quiet time, was perfect. Coming across as a thoroughly decent and nice guy even at the end of a long day, as he dropped people off at their preferred locations, also helped.
This is a long trip with an early and punctual 07.30 start. Do not expect to get back until late in the evening. That is inevitable given the massive distance to be covered and the number of things that you will see on the Great Ocaan Road from Melbourne to the Twelve Apostles as well as a little inland. But it is SO WORTH IT!
After an early morning coffee/breakfast stop, we stopped at a variety of locations: Lorne Beach, Teddy's Lookout, Appollo Bay (for lunch... I recommend the scallop pie at the bakery, which also does enormous lamingtons), Mait's Rest (rainforest walk), Aire River (where we saw many koalas in the wild), the Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Bay, and the Razorback. We then drove back inland stopping off at Colak to pick up some dinner as the last of the dusk faded.
This is not a trip just about the stopping points. The scenery throughout, whether on the coast or slightly inland, is very beautiful along this stretch of the Great Ocean Road. I was certainly never tempted to have a nap as there was so much to see out of the window, on what was also a perfect spring day.
In summary, I found this the perfect was to see much of the Great Ocean Road in a day. I did not have especially long in Melbourne while on a bit of a taster trip around Australia and this was the perfect solution for me.

The scenery is stunning! Loved the Loch Ard Gorge particularly. Has inspired me to come back and spend a week or so camping in the area. Should have bought togs so I could jump in the water quickly at Loch Ard Gorge. It's a long day! Bring a neck pillow for the bus ride. The tour guide Charlie was a very articulate, eloquent communicator and delivered the history and facts of the tour exceptionally well. I learnt lots about Australia which I didn't know about. He is a wealth of knowledge. Saw koalas in the wild for the first time, amazing! And a wild echidna, so cute! Wear a hat and sunscreen!

We really enjoyed the trip, great scenery in nice sunshine, good pace and a lot of stops for taking pictures or bathroom breaks. Craig was super nice, and shared a lot of informative and interesting stories. He was also kind waiting for us few minutes late because of the time consuming purchase of a KFC meal for diner on the way back.

I enjoyed this day so much. Even though there is a lot of driving, all the activities really broke it up great. Sylvain was a great guide and really made the most of the day for us after we discovered the 12 apostles lookout was closed. We had the opportunity to do the helicopter tour instead and were able to spend extra time at the other stops. Everything was beautiful, even when it was raining. Highly recommend.

Spectacular tour guide, I believe his name was Dandy and he went above and beyond to make the trip memorable. He was very professional, personable and kind - he went out of his way to find spots to see koalas and kangaroos, and made a trip back to pick up a guests bag that she forgot. I almost lost count how many stops and things there are to do on this trip in addition to seeing the Twelve apostles at sunset (which is the highlight), but you also get to go for a hike, go for a couple of beach walks including the one at Gibson Steps and then finish off at Razorback. Multiple breaks along the way to get lunch and dinner as well as pickup coffee and snacks. Great tour, even better tour guide and bus driver. Hats off to our bus driver, hope you get to drive with him.

G'Day!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a great review.
We are so happy to hear that you had such a great day on the Great Ocean Road with Dandy. He is such a great guide with many stories.
It is amazing that you got to see koalas and kangaroos on your tour! It can be so hard to spot them.
It sounds like you got to enjoy every part of the day for what it was and it is so wonderful that you were able to take in the beautiful views of the 12 Apostles at sunset.
We hope you will travel with us again in the future.

V spent hardly an hour at theGreat Apostles the main purpose of the tour. Dispense with the unimportant stops on the way. Give us more quality time at theGreat Apostles. You need at least a few hours to view this great monument

The Great Ocean Road Tour hosted by Wildlife Australia Tours was amazing. Steve, our driver and guide, was very funny, knowledgeable, kind and an excellent driver. We stopped at the chocolate museum, the memorial arch, Apollo Bay, Kennett River, Great Otway National Park Rainforest, Loch Ard and then the 12 Apostles. My highlights were definitely the Kennett River, where we were able to see Koalas in the wild, as well as the Rainforest, where we went on a short 35 minute hike and got to see a beautiful scenery, and finally the 12 Apostles and Loch Ard, which are stunning and breathtaking sights. Even with the rather bad weather we had on our trip we enjoyed every bit of it.

There were never 12 apostles and a couple have fallen into the sea.Notwithstanding that we saw beautiful scenery on our journey along with a koala spotting stop. The driver and coach were good but on reflection perhaps we should have visited museums in Melbourne

I am not travel guide or tour provider. When you purchase the tour ask them about pick up. Most on line tour companies provide this information on their website.
Hope this helps.
Hi, do you do pick ups and drop offs at the Rendezvous Hotel in Melbourne?

You should confirm with the tour company. We had hotel pick up at Langham Hotel. Confirm and be there at least 10 minutes early. It’s a wonderful trip.
Enjoy!

We used Sightseeing Tours Australia. 1 300 661 225
They do hotel pick up and drop off.
We had a coach tour. Since you have a larger group you may arrange for a private tour as well. I am not aware of rate for private tours. The tour was amazing. If you go private, spend more time at the 12 Apostles and ship wreck area. It was such an amazing place.
Viator is a major portal for such trips as well.
Hope this helps. Enjoy the tou
