It was superb! Thanks to our tourguide Leonie we had an unforgatteble experience in the Grampians. The weather was perfect, we did see all animals in wildlife and even close, Wallabies, Roos, even a Dear, all kind of bird. Leonie made the ride shortwhile with her interesting stories and nice music she specially sampled for the tour. Thank you again!

Leonie was our tour guide and she was the best tour guide we ever had. She was very nice and warm with all of us. She told us lots of cool information about the places and the animals that we saw during the tour, including really cool stories of creation from the indigenous people. She was super patient, very knowledgeable, and answered all my questions too. I could tell she’s very passionate about her work and she loves what she does, which is really refreshing to see. All the lookout points and landmarks we stopped at were absolutely stunning! And Leonie kept us all together and she wouldn’t leave anyone behind, which is very nice as well. She also gave us plenty of time at each site. And she made sure we were all fed, properly hydrated, and she gave us all plenty of opportunities to use the facilities too. We had a great time with Leonie and I believe that you will too. We love you, Leonie :D

Sincerely,

Rosine & Elliot

I‘ve done this tour couple of days ago and I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is traveling by himself and wants to have some company and without worrying about anything. Our tour guide, Leonie was really friendly and outgoing. She knows all the great lookout spots and places where emus and kangaroos hangout. Pick up on time, drop off on time as well which isn’t often with tour companies in general! You can be sure you’ll end the end with amazing memories and pictures!

I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a day tour of the Grampians. Our guide, Felix, was fantastic!! We went on a particularly hot day and he made the proper adjustments to the trip to ensure that the people who wanted to be out and about could do so, while giving the option to rest for those who wanted to stay out of the heat. Everything was well organized and, of course, the Grampians are beautiful!

Be sure to take a camera. The scenery was incredible; we saw kangeroos and lots of birds. The hike through the park was very rocky, so ensure you wear good footwear. I wore walking runners and was fine. Before we started the hike, our guide made sure everyone understood the hiking conditions. Sarah was a great tour guide; she was knowledgeable, attentive, safety conscious and very organized. Sarah liked keeping the group together, referring to us often as family - she even wanted us all to cross the road together. Sarah also made great arrangements for lunch and dinner.

I did this tour on the 14th of March and had an incredible time! Katherine picked me up in the morning and was full of amazing energy from the very start. She told us stories about the area and kept us well entertained throughout the day. Turns out she is also an actor and if she is half as good at acting as she is at being a tour guide then she's destined for big things. She prepared morning tea for us in a place called Eureka which was a very interesting stop that I was not expecting. Then we went to Hall's Gap for a quick hike, some lunch, and then more exploring. We then headed to the magnificent MacKenzie Falls and then finished at Baroka Lookout which was breathtaking. This tour takes all of the hassle out of exploring what is quite a remote area. You hit all of the highlights without having to worry about a thing and can be back in the city in time to grab a late dinner. If you are thinking about exploring the Grampians then I highly recommend taking this tour!

Mum and her partner had the best tour experience with Leonie @GoWest Tours. She was extremely professional, friendly, educated & fun. Her ability to communicate in several languages was a big plus! As a local in Melbourne, I'm personally grateful to her for showing mum the beauty of Australia and make her feel welcome.

The eco part of this tour was worth five stars. We visited several locations in the Grampians National Park including MacKenzie falls and The Grand Canyon. It was a full day with no time wasted so it was great. We left at 7.00am and returned at 10.20pm so it was good value. Lunch and morning tea was included. Adrian, our guide cooked three lovely cakes for morning tea. The Australiana music in the afternoon was great. But the early morning music whilst picking up travellers was of a variable volume sometimes fine but often too loud making it difficult to have a quiet conversation or listen to a personal mp3. It was even louder coming back into Melbourne and quite spoiled the end of the day making it impossible to finish listening to the book I was enjoying listening to. It would be great if the eco tour theme was incorporated into the whole day not just morning tea time to 9.30 pm.

Such a long day and most of it driving (uncomfortable ,bumpy, awful and music) there and back. 3 hours each way! Plus lots of driving around between stops (which were rushed) The comfort breaks, morning one was in a municipal park, public toilets, instant coffee from a flask with cake (cake was good). Lunch stop wasn’t much better (2.30pm) pre-ordered rolls that had to be eaten outside, lots of flies and very hot. The smoke from the fires spoilt all photos (which could’ve helped) apart from the Waterfalls, which was the only good part of the day.
The guides were interesting, very upbeat, everything was wonderful in there eyes. Sadly not ours!
Didn’t get back until at least 9.30pm and we were exhausted.

We regret that this guest travelled on a day when the recent bushfires resulted in a very heavy smoke haze hanging over much of Victoria. This meant that visibility was significantly limited, and the view from Boroka Lookout & Reeds Lookout were almost entirely obscured. Doubtless, this put a real dampener on the guest experience and we really regret that our guide's best efforts to keep the day upbeat were clearly in vain. It's disappointing to hear that the reviewer found the music played in the touring vehicle not to their liking, but it is certainly the case that it is difficult to please everyone when it comes to music. Yes, our morning tea & lunch breaks are outside on this tour, as the focus of the tour is nature. We regret that the reality of bushfire and a hot day (both natural events) impacted on the guest experience as negatively as the reviewer has described.

What an amazing way to experience the Grampians! Our guide, Dave, did a great job making us all feel welcome, sharing the history of the regions with us, and keeping everything running smoothly. The park itself is stunning. Beautiful waterfalls and unique rocky ranges you really can't see anywhere else. And the view from the lookout at the end was absolutely breathtaking. A fantastic trip all around, and a must-see for anyone keen to get out into nature from the Melbourne area.
