It was a really enjoyable day. The day started at 730AM and it took a little while to pick up all the people in our tour before we started the journey. Our guide, Chris, was very experienced and friendly. The itinerary was very well-planned and the sights were amazing. Coupled with Chris' storytelling along the way/at lookout points, it was really entertaining and insightful. We signed up with the expectations to view the 12 Apostles on our holiday but we received so much more, including knowing more about the history of Great Ocean Road. The only rush was dinner time, which is understandable because the priority was to visit all the promised destinations, and also to send us back to our accommodations safely and punctually. I really recommend this tour to those that are interested in visiting the Great Ocean Road!

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole day.
We are a family of 4 including my aged parents. However they too enjoyed every bit of the tour.
Emma is an energetic guide and her driving skills are to be appreciated for with safety first mindset.
She ensured we cover everything mentioned on the Itinerary with ample time to take photos. Her stories were really helping us to understand the brief history of all the places covered and played good music to keep us entertain while on the bus.
It was a complete leisure to be part of this tour. Highly recommend Emma and Go West tours.

Had the most amazing day trip with my friend Annie along the Great Ocean Road on Sunday. ‘Red’ was our driver and host for the day, we had a ball, not only was the scenery amazing but Red made it so much fun with his jokes and very cool Aussie personality, it was so informative, learning about the three different parts to the road, the history of how it was built and the great legends and characters that belonged to its history, which reminds me, Red called us the passengers ‘LEGENDS’ all day long. We saw a koala way up on a gum tree on our rainforest walk, learnt about the types of gum trees they get their food from and the special species of native trees and much much more. We did a 16 min helicopter tour over the coastline, paid for separately and that was just awesome with amazing photos as a result. Then to the best bits down to Lock Ard Gorge and the Razorback formations. Truely breathtaking. It was so much fun with different characters on the bus and lots of singing, especially one song from a lovely Italian man who encouraged us all to join in. It was a scream . Thanks Paula for the video. You didn’t have to participate either if you didn’t feel like it. Highly recommend this day out, I love Australia and Red was just a real Aussie True Blue Legend who made the day. Thank you guys for such a memorable happy time. Denise 🚍💙😃

Would recommend this tour for sure - timely pickup and drop-off, guide Red had lots of great energy and jokes, and the stops were well timed. We were blessed with BEAUTIFUL weather, I wish I had brought my flip flops for all the beach stops. Tour was at a comfortable pace, got to see what I wanted and enjoyed the day very much.

Chris N. was a great tour conductor/driver. He really made the trip! He was knowledgeable, kind, funny and was a good driver.
The tour was an exhausting all day (13 hour) event but we saw so much and would never have seen as much trying to do this on our own.
Loved the tea at Torquay Beach! Loved the rainforest walk, lunch at Apollo Bay, the 12 apostles, the gorge and our stop for the koala & bird sighting. There were several other photo-op stops that I could have passed on to spend more time at the places I noted above.
Only things I didn’t like were:
the time and distance between bathroom stops. I suppose a larger bus would have had a toilet but it would also have more people. I’d love to see 2 or 4 of the seats made into a toilet on those 24 seat busses. That would make the tour much better. Also, having 3 smaller plus a full size bus all pull into a stop at the same time really made an impact on each site with so many folks there at once. Lines for lunch, photo taking and toilets were common.
Otherwise, it was a great day and I’d probably do another tour this way, it was a good value for the money.

Even before I review the tour, I must first mention the very prompt replies I received from Terry for my multiple queries even before I booked the trip. Really appreciated that.

The Great Ocean road tour is an excellent option if you don’t wish to drive yourselves, with the intermittent stops giving you a break to stretch your legs.
Our driver/ guide was full of interesting trivia, friendly, enthusiastic and cheerful (especially considering she started well before each of us and ended her work after each of us left!)

The views throughout the drive are absolutely stunning, and seeing the cockatoos and koalas in the wild was amazing.
While the 12 apostles are beautiful it’s the stop after that (the Loch Ard gorge) that is breathtakingly beautiful!

Some suggestions-

1/ Even smaller group sizes which allow more interaction between people on the tour and make the long drive more fun.

2/ Possibly drop 1-2 stops (like the rainforest) to allow for more time on some of the others.

3/ Families/ couples tend to miss out on the seats with the best view as they sit together (the single seats have the most stunning views of the drive).

My family enjoyed this trip a lot.
On the whole, would highly recommend.

Our family of five just came back from the Great Ocean Road small group tour and loved it. I was reluctant to spend a long day on a bus immediately after a 30 hour journey from the states butiit was worth it. We made lots of stops. The longest stretch of driving was roughly two hours. Our guide and driver was Margaret and you'll be so lucky if you get in her group. She brought an awesome playlist that made the drive go much faster. She had the right amount of narration of none of the cheesy jokes that you dread from tour operators. The stops were all worthwhile. It's hard to pick a favorite. The only thing I regret is that we wore our swimsuits in hopes of jumping in the ocean. That's not really an option as the water is freezing and the waves are dangerously strong. Be comfortable and travel in street clothes. We loved the koalas and managed to see them fairly close. The Twelve Apostles and the coastline were beautiful. The little towns had great restaurants. We never waited in a line or felt crowded. Highly recommend!!

Aaron and Debbie were enthusiastic and very friendly guides on this delightful tour. The coastal cliffs are magnificent and the lush rainforest a surprise. Plenty of time was allowed to explore each site. The optional helicopter ride around the 12 Apostles was well worth the cost! A long but well travelled adventurous day! Highly recommended!

Fun “all day” tour!! The best is saved for last and the real memorable part of the tour starts after lunch when you head into the Rainforest. From there each stop builds on the last … the “Twelve Apostles” being only one of the memorable stops throughout the afternoon.
No review would be complete without mentioning the tour guide and Aaron is one of the best. He really, REALLY loves what he does and it shows:) Full of information, and quick to laugh, he sets a great “tone” for the tour, even bringing his own playlist of Aussie music to mellow out the ride, in between stops.
On the technical side, the buses are modern and and clean and WiFi (that actually works) is provided as a free perk.
Thanks Aaron and Go West Tours for a great day!!!

From the moment we were picked up at the hotel in Melbourne until we were dropped back 14 hours later, our tour guide Margaret ensured that we enjoyed every moment of the day. When she wasn't telling us about the various interesting places we visited, she played music over the bus PA system to fill in the open road sections. The tour was very well structured, with short enough driving stretches between stopping points, and so much to see and learn about at every stop,
