We visit Tasmania often, but had never done the Red Decker bus, so thought we would this year. It is certainly a great way to become oriented to Hobart, and be able to see some of the main attractions - the ability to get on and off is excellent for those without transport. If you are thinking of visiting a number of the attractions on the listed stops, it would be worth purchasing the 48 hr ticket, to allow you time to explore over 2 days. The commentary was great, driver was amazing, and the ride was comfortable. We stayed on for the 90 minute loop, as we had seen/been to most areas, but enjoyed being able to take it all in from a different perspective. Highly recommend.

Great tour of Hobart having done this a few times as a local, fantastic commentary always learn something new when taking visitors. Great bus driver.

We arrived at 10.15am at bus stop A with a pre booked boarding time of 10.30am to be told that we could not board the bus, which was not full, and that we would have to wait until 11.00am when for some reason 2 buses would be along🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️. The woman at the front of the queue was not prepared to give us any kind of explanation and was more interested in chatting with other people. There were a number of elderly people that also had to wait, the lucky ones got to sit on the two 4 seater benches. Now on the bus but concerned about getting off in case we can’t get on again. So much for Hop on ,Hop off. Get your act together☹️☹️

Fantastic experience, my wife and I are on our honeymoon and we hopped on to this bus and we enjoyed every minute. The driver was a great man and he knows his facts about Hobart.

I thought that we would go down to the women's factory to actually see it , that was a little disappointing.

We have used the Red Decker in a number of countries previously so had experience of how they work. The Hobart Red Decker had one of the cheeriest bus drivers and very skilled in managing some of the narrow roads. Ninety minutes went so fast and so many places. It was a great way to see Hobart on a limited time. Very well put together and would totally recommend this tour to visitors of Hobart.

Excellent way to see Hobart. Great driver, really helpful and happy to answer questions. Great audio commentary. Easy way to get to places and orientate yourself to the city. Highly recommend.

We really loved this fun and interactive experience and the bus was extremely well kept and very clean.

The driver was very friendly and a real Larakin. Gave me a very good feeling of not just the sites visited but the culture of Hobart which I really appreciated.

On 13 December, my 92 year old mother and I enjoyed getting to know Hobart better by going on a Hop on, hop off tour of Hobart. We learnt a lot about the history of the place and of Hobart in general. The service finishes at 3.30pm so you need to be mindful of this whenever you hop off to visit a particular place.

Economical to buy a 2-day pass and we loved it! Buses run regularly and stop at great spots around Hobart. We spent hours in the Botanic Gardens one day and time at Cascade brewery the second day. The commentary was interesting...some drivers even added their own thoughts.

When you arrive in a new city, it’s a great way to get an overview of what is here. Added the Mt Wellington experience. Well worth it.

I highly recommend the red decker bus to anyone. It’s easy to get to most attractions and tours and I use it every time I go to Hobart. It’s an easy way to enjoy Hobart especially if travelling alone
