- vhuang0 contributionsHighly recommended private tour of the city of Hobart!!We did the private tour of Hobart which ended with a visit to MONA. Our guide was Penny Dyer who has lived in in Tasmania all of her life. She was fabulous!! She tailored the tour to our interests. She first took us to Mount Wellington while the weather cooperated, then took us on a private tour to see the highlights of Hobart. Her knowledge of the history of the city was so detailed. She drove us to MONA which we explored on our own (MONA does not allow private tour guides). We took the ferry back to the Hobart harbour in the POSH pit which included drinks and canapes. It was a wonderful day. Highly recommended!! Penny was awesome!!Written October 4, 2024
- 2bd0 contributionsWander Hobart with an Expert Local GuideWe had a wonderful three hour walking tour of Hobart with our expert and personable guide, Penny Dyer. We saw and learned how Hobart has successfully transitioned from a whaling and wool trade economy to the thriving destination location it is today. Penny explained and showed us many examples of how Hobart has made this transition while preserving its past with restored neighborhoods and stately buildings, creating the lively, charming city we see today. Many thanks to Penny for showing us such a great time!Written September 11, 2024
- Getaway257820669950 contributionsTasmania in a nutshellNoah was our private tour guide both days we were in Hobart. The first day was a highlight day where we saw a lot of Hobart viewpoints and hidden gems. Noah was very knowledgeable and thoughtful too. He surprised me with a gift since it was my birthday that day, just from a random comment I had made earlier. The second full day tour we went to Maria Island, a haven for wombats. It was absolutely amazing how close we were to them. It was a wonderful experience for myself and my family of animal lovers. On our way back into town we also stopped at a winery. Just gorgeous, and delicious! I would highly recommend Noah and his luxury tour company when visiting Hobart.Written August 31, 2024
- Pioneer6287670 contributionsFabulous Hobart Tour Guide. Our Tour Guide Penny Dyer was amazing. Penny has lived in Hobart all her life and her local knowledge was excellent. It was also a nice change to have a woman tour guide. We would encourage anyone wishing to take this tour to enquire as to whether they can have Penny as their Guide. Penny definitely made the tour worthwhile.Written August 16, 2024
- Irene M0 contributionsThe beauty of TasmaniaWe highly recommend the regional day tour of Hobart and Tasmania. Right off the bat our guide, Zen, asked why we came to Tasmania and what we were interested in. He was knowlegeable about history, agriculture, environment, and current challenges that the island faces. Plus he was a very interesting, friendly person who happened to have grown up in Tasmania. The day included a visit to the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary where we were able to get up close to kangaroos and wombats; the very beautiful Mt Field and Russell Falls; and a winery, with other stops along the way. The picnic lunch that he prepared featured delicious local ingredients. We very much enjoyed spending the day with Zen and came away with an appreciation for the island and people.Written April 7, 2024

- jonathangoring0 contributionsAwesome guided tour with ZenZen is an exceptional guide and the combination of walk, animals and gourmet picnic was perfect. We visited Tasmania’s national parks, fed cangarpos and spotted all kinds of wildlife.Written March 25, 2024
- KerryWolfe0 contributionsGreat guide and a wonderful dayWe just completed an exceptional day of seeing wildlife and walking Maria island. While the touring was great what made the day exceptional was your guide, Penny Dyer. Penny knowledge of local lore, wildlife, and even the wines was excellent, but it was her personality and getting to know her that made the day so special. You are very fortunate to have a guide like Penny. The tour group handled all the arrangements expertly, and Penny guided us to the best places and we could have asked for. We give her the highest possible recommendation, and will be sure to tell our friends and travel agent about localling tours and to ask for Penny!Written March 9, 2024

- smbjazz0 contributionsGreat way to enter Tasmania - Airport pick up and tourWe were picked up at the airport by our guide. And we just had a touch of everything this day in Hobart, we went wine tasting, whiskey tasting, had a beautiful lunch and then saw some of the suburbs of Hobart and then spent like 20 minutes seeing platypus in a stream!Written January 27, 2024
- lyndao1740 contributionsGreat day on Mt. Field and Bonorong Wildlife SanctuaryOur guide Zen was a local and gave us a thoroughly enjoyable day. We started in Hobart and drove to Mt. Field where we took an easy hike through stunning rain forest to see Russell and Horseshoe Falls then on to Lake Dobson. Then enjoyed a tasty picnic lunch before moving on to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary where we saw many rescued Tasmanian animals that now live in this sanctuary. The highlight was hand feeding Kangaroos. It was a memorable day that I would recommend to anyone.Written January 18, 2024
- cxcastano0 contributionsAdorable Taz in TasmaniaWe had a phenomenal time exploring Hobart and Tasmania with Zen. Throughout our full-day tour, we visited farms, parks, wineries, and, most importantly, enjoyed a delightful close encounter with an adorable Tasmanian devil. Zen demonstrated extensive knowledge of the region, proving to be not only informative but also friendly, professional, and an excellent driver. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about Tasmanian flora, fauna, and the stunning landscapesWritten January 15, 2024

Our family had an incredible day with our tour guide and driver, Zen! He taught us all so much about Tasmania and shared many exciting stories. He suggested the perfect local lunch spot, so we were able to eat like the locals and try some well know Tasmania foods. The Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary was an amazing experience! I never thought I’d be able to pet and feed as many kangaroos as I’d like. Highly recommend!
