    Not Just for Whisky Aficionados...
What an incredible experience! I was not originally a whisky lover, but Ben's tour of three fantastic Tasmanian distilleries truly opened my eyes to the amazing flavours of whisky. His passion for the craft was infectious, and each distillery showcased unique offerings, providing valuable insights into the production process and the local industry. The lunch served was delicious, and Ben's friendly and generous demeanor made the day even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone, whether you're a whisky enthusiast or just curious to learn more! A huge thank you to Drink Tasmania for a delightful and unforgettable day.

Lovely outing that I’d happily recommend!
We had a wonderful time on the wine and cider half-day tour! Pete, our guide, was friendly and thoughtful, even stopping for coffee and letting me grab some fresh cherries along the way. We visited one winery and two cider spots, each unique, family-owned, and full of charm. Pete shared some fun and interesting stories, adding a personal touch to the trip. While the food at the last stop was a bit disappointing—likely due to how busy they were—it didn’t detract from the overall experience. A lovely outing that I’d happily recommend!

    Good Tour great day
Timwas excellent, the day was great(1 hiccup with winery but made up for it!) I preferred starting g at 10, as not too early to start tasting coffee 1st was also a good idea. Tim was interesting, knowledgeable and made the trip. The last stop was amazing, a perfect ending. I liked choosing my own lunch too. Thankyou

    Christmas Eve wine tour
We had a great time with Tim on our wine tour on Christmas Eve. There were plenty of wines included and the wineries chosen were mostly good. The first two were lovely, the lunch was good (pay yourself for this), the third winery was really not great but they have said they won’t go back there on another tour after our feedback. The last winery, Craigow, was the highlight of the whole day. The owner was absolutely brilliant and the wines were fantastic. Thanks Tim and all for a lovely day!!

    A day to remember
We visited five wineries, enjoying every minute of our experience. Our host, Tim, was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful without being intrusive. The variety in the cheese platter and its matched wines at our first stop was an excellent start to the day. The carefully curated tour presented us with a range of highlights during the day. These included the variety of tastes experienced in the winery/distillery we visited and the winery which cleverly paired house made chocolates and their wines. A special mention goes to our final stop, Craigow, whose Pinot Noir finally helped my husband understand why this wine is a Tassie speciality and a new fit in our wine cellar.

Peter was a wonderful guide as we explored so many interesting vineyards around Hobart. Each one was unique with stories, wine and other delights. A great way to experience the area.

As soon as we met Peter over a lovely hot chocolate we knew it was going to be a great day. We ended up being the only two on the first half of the day and it was a real treat. He is so passionate and proud about what Tassi has to offer and is very knowledgable about the places we visited on the tour. The Winery and both the Cider Breweries were so generous with their knowledge (and tastings teehee) that it was the best morning spent in a long time. The lunch at Willie Smiths Apple Shed at Grove was delicious and we will be driving down again for another selection off the menu we couldnt squeeze in today. The afternoon sampling whisky and beer was great fun as we were joined by 2 other couples. All the places we visited were interesting and passionate about what they do and it was a great afternoon. We highly recommend Drink Tasmania....its different in a fun and generous way....we will be booking for a wine tour when we return to Tassi in November. Its a credit to you Peter...you made our visit way better than we were hoping for.

We had a great day out with Peter. We thought it would be a long day but it went so fast. Peter was engaging and informative and he gave his own energy that made the trip so enjoyable. Wines, ciders, whiskey and beer and a great place for lunch. It was an opportunity to also take in Hobart and surrounds. Do it!!

My partner and I joined the Half Day Wine and Cider Signature Tour which was a perfect way to fill in the morning before our afternoon flight back home. We were lucky to have a small group and three guides (more than usual as two were in training). The guides (Peter, Gino and Ben) were very friendly and entertaining. It was a treat to stop at Home Hill Wines who have had very recent success with their wines. Pagan Ciders gave us the chance to try something new and exciting and Willie Smith's is an institution in the Huon Valley. My only regret was not being able to do the full day so I would definitely sign up to another tour in the future. It's also a great way to explore Tassie and enjoy the beautiful countryside.

Tas was our driver and guide, who was informative, enthusiastic and helped make the day enjoyable. Start of the day was a coffee or tea at a local Cafe before heading off. All our stops were good, starting with Home Hill Winery which was a lovely place to look at the scenery and taste the wines. Pagan Cider was next, where there were some different but lovely ciders to try...Apple, Pear, Cherry, Blueberry and Quince. The last stop on the half day Tour was William Smiths Apple Shed for tastings and lunch (your expense) before heading back to Hobart.

An amazing experience, Peter, the tour operator,
was professional, knowledgeable, an amusing storyteller and went out of his way to make it an enjoyable journey for everybody on board for the day.
We saw the majestic Huon Valley and the lunch at Willie Smith’s was so good. I highly recommend the pork croquettes. Unfortunately I was too full to taste the apple pie and local distillery made pommeau.
All the venues we visited were very welcoming and provided great narratives about their origins and products.
Very highly recommended.

Due to the snap covid lockdown in Victoria, the other guests in our group were forced to cancel their booking. Instead of cancelling the tour for us due to low numbers, we were met by Peter the owner and he took us around for an amazing memorable day. The beautiful natural surrounds of Hobart proved to be a fantastic place with great proximity to allow visiting so many places. The signature tour was really different in that we got a great chance to visit different producers and not only winery’s. I loved learning about the importance alcohol production had in Hobart over the last couple hundred years. Peter was a great tour guide with a friendly, relaxed and funny approach who made us feel welcomed. We loved this tour and would highly recommend if you are stopping in Hobart. Thanks Peter and drink Tasmania!

Went with a group of locals, not expecting to learn or try much new but have a nice day sightseeing around Tassie. Not only did we try lots of things we hadn’t come across, but also the guide (Peter) had a great candor that had us chatting with all the makers as if they were old friends. The locations were gorgeous, and they seemed to change things about the tour based on what people in the group liked (if you wanted that).

The full day was packed full of stuff to see, learn and try without feeling exhaustingly so. Lunch venue had great dietary-friendly options and all the venues also had equally fun non-alcoholic drinks if you wanted to pace yourselves, as well as stronger extras you could opt into if you wanted more.

Takeaways were a must, and we’d filled the Esky in the boot by halfway through. I would highly recommend this tour for all (adult) ages, locals and non-locals alike!

We had an outstanding day visiting the local producers facilities of wine, cider, whiskey and beer with an added sampling of vodka and Gin. The knowledge of Patrick (our guide) across these industries was exceptional and we come away from the day with a far better understanding of the time and effort it takes into producing all of these awesome Tasmanian products. I could not recommend this tour any more highly as it was a day to be remembered and we will encourage all our friends to go and do it.

Had an awesome day out on this tour. Our guide knew his stuff, was very friendly and good banter too. We also met two of their new staff members who were doing their induction on our tour, they were awesome too. Tour is well-paced, didn't feel rushed at all and even had time to take photos and have more tastings. The venues we went to were good choices and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hobart who lives a wine and/or cider!

Great way to taste Tassie's wine, beer, gin and whiskey.
The best part of the tour is getting to sample the limited edition and sold out the collection.
5 stars go to Tim our tour leader. Friendly, caring, passionate about alcoholic beverages and have a great knowledge of the history of Tassie and brewing place. I was a solo traveller and he looks after me very well. Great hospitality.
Surprise that there were two additional brewery places, was not part of the itinerary and had some of the greatest Whiskey, Gin and Vodka.
Would have given 5 stars if there was some snack provided/purchased between the tasting.
Lastly, If you have colour skin be prepare to experience xenophobia, especially being the only colour person and travelling solo in a group tour. We live in Australia people
