      Wine extravagance day
What an amazing day with Peter our tour guide . The weather was incredible and we loved the variation of wine farms we visited . Lunch in Richmond was really good too. We visited 4 wineries in total for the day and arrived back in Hobart with a good varied collection of wine to take home

Brilliant bespoke tour with fantastic guide
Fantastic wine tour across the coal river valley. We visited Derwent Estate, Pressing Matters, Caledon (relatively new) and Craigdow vineyards. All vineyards were distinctively different - great in their own ways. Peter was fantastic - very informative and honest when planning to book the trip and extremely helpful (thank you for including Pressing Matters) and a fantastic guide for the day. Peter was relaxed, welcoming, great fun and informative and done everything to ensure we had a great day. Going solo and taking a tour as opposed to driving is not how I normally tour Tassie vineyards so I was a little anxious about the group mix and how that would go - I had a fantastic time with a great group small group of people. Peter was excellent at facilitating a warm friendly and relaxed environment. Tour exceeded expectations I highly recommended this tour. Thank you Peter for such an incredible day!

      Not Just for Whisky Aficionados...
What an incredible experience! I was not originally a whisky lover, but Ben's tour of three fantastic Tasmanian distilleries truly opened my eyes to the amazing flavours of whisky. His passion for the craft was infectious, and each distillery showcased unique offerings, providing valuable insights into the production process and the local industry. The lunch served was delicious, and Ben's friendly and generous demeanor made the day even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone, whether you're a whisky enthusiast or just curious to learn more! A huge thank you to Drink Tasmania for a delightful and unforgettable day.

Lovely outing that I’d happily recommend!
We had a wonderful time on the wine and cider half-day tour! Pete, our guide, was friendly and thoughtful, even stopping for coffee and letting me grab some fresh cherries along the way. We visited one winery and two cider spots, each unique, family-owned, and full of charm. Pete shared some fun and interesting stories, adding a personal touch to the trip. While the food at the last stop was a bit disappointing—likely due to how busy they were—it didn’t detract from the overall experience. A lovely outing that I’d happily recommend!

      Good Tour great day
Timwas excellent, the day was great(1 hiccup with winery but made up for it!) I preferred starting g at 10, as not too early to start tasting coffee 1st was also a good idea. Tim was interesting, knowledgeable and made the trip. The last stop was amazing, a perfect ending. I liked choosing my own lunch too. Thankyou

      Christmas Eve wine tour
We had a great time with Tim on our wine tour on Christmas Eve. There were plenty of wines included and the wineries chosen were mostly good. The first two were lovely, the lunch was good (pay yourself for this), the third winery was really not great but they have said they won’t go back there on another tour after our feedback. The last winery, Craigow, was the highlight of the whole day. The owner was absolutely brilliant and the wines were fantastic. Thanks Tim and all for a lovely day!!

      A day to remember
We visited five wineries, enjoying every minute of our experience. Our host, Tim, was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful without being intrusive. The variety in the cheese platter and its matched wines at our first stop was an excellent start to the day. The carefully curated tour presented us with a range of highlights during the day. These included the variety of tastes experienced in the winery/distillery we visited and the winery which cleverly paired house made chocolates and their wines. A special mention goes to our final stop, Craigow, whose Pinot Noir finally helped my husband understand why this wine is a Tassie speciality and a new fit in our wine cellar.

Our Tour guide Ben was incredible. Very knowledgeable and interactive with all in our small intimate tour. Took us to experience incredible wines, ciders, gins, vodkas, whiskeys and beer/stouts all in one fantastic day! Lunch was separate and incredible at Willie Smith Apples but absolutely delicious!

      Delicious drinks and lovely venues
A wonderful day spent in and around Hobart with Drink Tasmania Premium Tours. This tour is absolutely perfect for anyone looking for more variety than just a winery tour or a brewery tour. Why choose just wine or beer, when you can have wine, cider, vodka, gin, whiskey and beer!! And it is an absolute must that you get the applie pie at Willie Smith's! Our tour guide, Tim, started the day with an acknowledgement of country, and this is my first experience of a tour guide doing this. Thank you, Tim. I hope to see more tour guides doing this. Tim was welcoming, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humour :) Each venue we visited was lovely and provided delicious drinks to taste (and purchase!), and each host really added to the overall experience. If you fancy a drink, this tour is for you!!

Our guide Tim was just fantastic! He knew just as much (if not more!) about the distilling process and produce of Tasmania than any of the wonderful owners we met on the day. He was professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable - always quick to open a door or carry our purchases safely back to the car. We can’t recommend Tim highly enough or any of the wonderful and well researched tours on offer!

The group met Peter at the Pier and were introduced over a cup of coffee in the cafe. He took us to three amazing distilleries with incredible views and passionate owners sharing their knowledge of gin and their business. There was a huge range of gin tasting offered as well as extras if wanted. Lunch was at Bangor overlooking a beautiful vineyard with an incredible entrée and main dish. We had plenty of time at each place to take pictures, meet people and taste the alcohol. Peter was approachable, enthusiastic and passionate about what he does. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you're travelling solo because everyone made me feel so welcome. When we finished the tour Peter took us into a bar for a final gin cocktail.

It was a pleasure having you onboard, Lauren! You were well and truly outnumbered by Tasmanians, but you held your own. :-) It really is a great thing to showcase my own backyard and the wonderful food and drinks that are on offer. So glad you enjoyed yourself. Happy travels. Hope we see you on tour again another day! Warm regards, Peter.

Peter provided Una, Matt and me an absolutely fantastic day. Great insights into the history of Tasmania and distilling. Who knew it only started in 1994! The scenery along the way and at each distillery was breathtaking. Forget Google this is the best way to learn about how your favourite tipple is made and the tastings wow. Lunch at Bangor winery was out of this world and having a wine expert matching their wines to our meals and getting a run down on their wines was great. Finished off a very full day with cocktails at Gold bar , needles to say one wasn't enough.
What an experience and I highly recommend Drinks Tasmania to anyone visiting Tassie. To quote Arnie - I'll be back. 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Thank you for the glowing review! This kind of feedback is exactly what we aim for here at Drink Tasmania (and why I love my job)! The history of booze in Australia all starts here in Tasmania. It's such an amazing story! I think Bangor are putting on one of the best wine tasting experiences in southern Tasmania! Who doesn't like wines paired with a gourmet entree board?!? Gold bar is another hidden gem in Hobart. A must for anyone seeking classy coctails and Tasmanian Whisky. See you next time your on the 'South Island of Australia'! Cheers, Peter.

A stunning drive down through the beauty of the Tassie peninsula, exploring the South's key Gin producers. Lunch was a winner for all and they were accommodating with dietary requirements. Unpretentious and a blast of a day with our beautiful hosts. Well thought out and exactly what I was hoping for! Whether you are a solo traveller, couple or group - I highly recommend this tour.

We love gin, we love Tas, we were turning 30.. so what better way to celebrate than to enjoy some of the world's finest? The Gin Tour really had everything we could have wanted including being treated to a few extra specials such as potato vodka and whiskey! This industry has been through alot this year, to see it thriving was so heart warming. To the folks in the hills who are still keeping bottles on the shelves and transferring barrels, we thank you for your passion, creativity and representation of our special part of the world. Keep your Gin up, we will recover from this and come out better than before.
    Sincerely,
    Mirandah and Ben

We bought this tour for a friends milestone birthday and it was perfect in every way! Ian was a brilliant tour leader sharing so much knowledge with us. After some hiccups with rescheduling Drinks Tasmania went out of their way to make the tour happen for us. There were plenty of sampling of gin and whiskey during the 3 distillery visits and generous tastings at their shop in Richmond. As Tasmanians we learnt so much and are proud to support this local industry.

One of the best day tours I've done. Our Guide Patrick is very knowlegeable about the distillery processes of Gin & Whisky, along with history of Tasmania.
There were only 7 of us in the tour. We visited 3 Gin distilleries & a winery where we tasted wines & had lunch. The winery called Bangor is located on the side of a hill overlooking their vineyard and water, just beautiful.
This is a definitely do Tassie tour, you won't be disappointed...

Thanks agian for taking the time to give us a review. Next time you're in Tasmania, let us know and we will spoil you rotten with some (of the many) great distillery experiences on our doorstep. Great tour of 3 gin distilleries with wine tasting & lunch at Bangor. All of the fine makers were passionate about their craft and generous with sharing their knowledge and time as well as producing some very tasting gins. The scenery of Tasman Peninsula was a bonus and Peter a fantastic host. Highly recommended as a day out from Hobart.
