- Brooke100000A must do when visiting HobartI would highly recommend anyone visiting Hobart does the Hobart History, People & Places walking tour. Lisa was fabulous in her 2 hour commentary of Hobart’s history and I discovered so much that wouldn’t have been possible exploring on my own.
- M9105MYjaynem00IntriguingHobart's Dark Past Walking Tour was intriguing. Our guide and owner Lisa was very informative and had an obvious passion for Hobart and it's past. The tour gave me a insight to Hobart that is the hidden and untold. This tour open the door for me to learn more.

- gpjrm00Great Introduction to the History of HobartLisa did a great job telling and showing us the history of Hobart. On the two hour walk, she explained many things that you would never have known without being on the tour. Lisa was friendly and knowledgeable providing lots of interesting anecdotes. She was well organised bringing along historic photos to show us on the way. Lisa was always willing to answer questions. A great tour to introduce you to the city of Hobart and its past.Highly recommended.
- 955julies95500Well worth the moneyOur group consisted of only three people. We were able to cover all the key historical spots of Hobart's old town without walking a long way. I appreciated that the pace was not too much for my tired old bones. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. We really learnt a lot about Hobart's early days. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Thanks Lisa.
- ShelleeB1700Hobart tourGreat for history lovers, however more standing than walking. There was some interesting facts from the history of the state. The guide was very knowledgeable and passionate.
- Ditto12100The best way to see and learn about HobartLook no further. Lisa is a superb guide; very knowledgeable with perfect communication skills. Our group of 5 were shown the historic sites and given an insight into how Hobart grew into the city of today. The walking pace was great, allowing for us to also take photos. 2 hours flew by. I definitely recommend this tour.
- KrissAUS00Well paced, interesting walking tourThis was a wonderful experience. Our tour guide (and business owner) Lisa shared her enthusiasm and knowledge in a well paced tour. - MikeE188100A thoroughly pleasant afternoonWe met our guide outside the Henry Jones Art Hotel, a former jam factory, by the waterside in Hobart. Over the next two hours as we slowly meandered from the harbour into the old part of town and parks we learnt so much of Hobart's past from convicts and prisoners to city benefactors. A thoroughly pleasant way to spend an afternoon with a friendly and knowledgeable guide.

My husband, two adults kids and I spent 2 hours with our guide Debbie on the Historic Battery Point tour yesterday. It was absolutely great. Its the most beautiful area with incredible history and Debbie knew everything that anyone would need to know to bring this history to life for us. It made a huge difference to our exploration of the area. She was waiting for us at the meeting point and did not rush us through any part of the tour. A delightful, educated and interested person and a great storyteller. This is clearly a very professional and experienced tour operation. Highly recommended and very reasonably priced.

We enjoyed walking through Historic Battery Point. The houses were amazing making History come alive. Many had plaques on them giving you history of the house. We had a delicious morning tea at Jackman & McRoss Bakery , including coffee and a wonderful Scallop pie. We visited historic Narryna House (Merchants House). This was beautifully preserved. Spend a few hours walking through Battery Point. Brings Hobart's history to life- Highly recommended.

Lisa was upbeat and friendly despite the freezing conditions that day. With humour and insight, she took us on a fascinating walk, imparting facts we'd never otherwise had discovered. Lisa was keen to answer all our questions - even the obscure ones. We can highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a bit more depth to their Hobart experience.

We were pleasantly surprised that our hotel, Lenna (which is really nice!), is located at Battery Point. The neighborhood is very cute, with old houses built around the 1840s all very well cared for. There are cafes, restaurants and shops mixed in among the houses. We felt very safe. Take a walk and enjoy the sights as we did… you’ll be happy you did!

A walk through this area allowed appreciation of wonderful houses that have been beautifully maintained and allowed the ability to see the 1800’s date on each of the entry ways.
Whilst some are retained as houses, some are now quaint shops. Hotels and a church on the border of a fabulous park overlooking the Derwent River provides a wonderful backdrop for a delightful stroll.
Accessed by Kelly’s Steps in Salamanca Place.
A great walk to enjoy on a sunny day.
