Our group of 4 did this trip 2pm 12th June on a 12-seater with a really great skipper who you could tell was really passionate about sharing everything she knew to the boatload.
We had the last of the Arctic blast weather to contend with so had to give Maria Island a miss but she took us to a more protected area instead to make up for it.
We went with the rolling water around Ironpot Lighthouse and it was pretty rough but such fun. Our skipper knew her boat and the ocean!
A really great trip even if the weather isn't perfect, thanks to the enclosed seating.
Well worth it!

We decided on the 2.5 hour iron pot cruise for our water adventure in Hobart. Big tick!

Checked in and met Ben, our skipper for the day. Nobody told us it was cruise and s show. Ben is quite the storyteller and raconteur. His ability to talk to people of all ages, tell great stories and make them laugh was second to none. He obviously loves his job and it shows.

The scenery was spectacular and thoroughly recommend this cruise to anyone who visits Hobart. Top notch - we will go again!

Great cruise, Tomas was our skipper and he was fantastic, very knowledgeable with a genuine desire to give you the best experience he can. We saw everything we could see and games a lot of information about the area that we we not have known otherwise. The boat is very comfortable and being enclosed quite protected from the elements - well done Tomas you do the company proud!!

What a great way to spend an afternoon. Our guide Kate was superb, providing informative, interesting and often funny commentary as she steered the boat across Storm Bay. Basically we followed the Hobart coastline then made a run out into the Ocean before heading back and circulating The Iron Pot. Kate had organised superb weather for us , too. The cruise depo has a well stocked souvenir and merino wool display. The boat had a full complement of 12 passengers.

The Iron Pot Lighthouse boat trip runs down the coastline and back, enjoying views of the historic and most interesting waterfront homes, along with caves and platforms, aside from a trip over to the lighthouse itself.

Our day was over 40 knot winds, yet the boat did a fantastic job of smoothing it out.

Very enjoyable

Was fabulous from beginning to end. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful. Toby our guide was amazing, funny and so knowledgeable. Totally exceeded our expectations. We were fortunate enough to see a whale within minutes on the water. Lots of seals lazing around on the magnificent rock cliffs. That was a true highlight. Iron pot lighthouse was beautiful and seeing Hobart from the water gives a completely different perspective. Highly recommend.

Thomas was an excellent host and tour guide with a good knowledge of the area and local history. The boat's capacity is 12 passengers and is enclosed from the elements but you still need to rug up. The easy relaxed nature of the trip plus plenty of opportunities for photography added to a very pleasant afternoon.

What a lovely afternoon on board with our Skipper Hamish who was very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing his information about the areas we sailed to. The boat was very comfortable and easy to walk around in, plenty of opportunities to take photo's. Loved the areas we traveled to, especially the lighthouse, I enjoyed seeing this up close. Seen plenty of wild life including 2 whales on the way back to port. Would highly recommend doing this cruise, very enjoyable.
